00:01Previously on Project Runway
00:03It's all about rock and roll
00:05I can stop!
00:07Bitch is gonna get stabbed
00:09I'm out of here
00:10I'm just ready to go
00:11When you put people in teams
00:12You're bound to have people whose heads are gonna bust
00:14Go get tweezers
00:15Go away
00:16They're leaving the room
00:17It's just so...
00:18Stop
00:19Yeah
00:20Bring it on
00:21Nine of you are left
00:22One designer will be cut every week
00:24Until three remain
00:26Those three will show their line at Olympus Fashion Week
00:29Then one winner will be chosen
00:31The winner will receive a spread in Elle Magazine
00:33A mentorship with Banana Republic Design Team
00:36And $100,000 to start their own line
00:47Kevin, you are the winner
00:48And you have a guaranteed in for next rounds challenge
00:51Tell the judges who on your team should be out
00:54Austin could have done a better job with leadership
00:57It was just really just crying, crying, crying, crying
01:01And complaining
01:02I would say no one for that
01:03Vanessa, as inspiring and talented as she is
01:06Just isn't as adept in sewing as Wendy and I
01:09Vanessa...
01:10You're out
01:11You're out
01:19This is a search for the next big fashion designer
01:22It's a cutthroat business
01:23The competition was fierce
01:26Twelve contestants, three finalists, and one winner
01:30Three designers will make their runway debut at Olympus Fashion Week
01:34I plan to make it to Fashion Week
01:35I think I'll be number one
01:36And the winner of Project Runway will receive everything they need to start their own label
01:40I think I deserve to win
01:42People are gonna start getting pretty bitchy
01:44Oh my
01:45For these twelve contestants, Project Runway is a chance of a lifetime
01:49The whole runway inquisition was a bit intense
02:06I felt like I was stabbed in the back when Wendy named me
02:10I really did
02:12Because it was complete bullshit
02:15My relationship with Austin appears to have suffered
02:19He has adopted this wounded thing
02:22It doesn't sit well with me
02:24I don't like that
02:26Yesterday was pretty intense
02:29I did get upset
02:30I did get emotional
02:31But I do feel like I should be here because I worked my ass off
02:36It was weird with Vanessa leaving, but I'm still here
02:39And I'm getting competitive now
02:41I don't think I would ever be
02:42I don't want to win this motherfucker
02:56Hello
02:57Hi
02:58Four of you are gone
03:00And eight of you are left
03:01And just to keep things a little interesting around here
03:04I let you choose your model first
03:06And then I give you a challenge second
03:08Let's bring out the models
03:10There are eight designers but nine models on the runway
03:27At the end there will be one model left and that model will be out
03:31Kevin you won the last challenge so you will be first to choose
03:35Okay
03:36It's gonna be Olga
03:38Next one is Karasan
03:39Jenny
03:41Martinique
03:43Morganza
03:45Austin
03:46Juliet
03:48Joy
03:49Erin
03:50So Nara, you choose which model would stay
04:00And which model will be out
04:02It's between Audrey and Melissa
04:06I'm going to choose
04:07I'm going to choose
04:09I'm going to choose
04:14Melissa
04:15Thank you
04:16Sorry, that means you're out
04:17Auf Wiedersehen
04:31Everything happens for a reason
04:32Everything happens for a reason, but I have to go back home, and, you know, I'm still
04:40a senior in high school, so I still got a little bit of stuff to do, you know, before
04:44I can really go out and, you know, fulfill this career.
04:49You've chosen your model.
04:51We'll take a good look at her because she's your new client.
05:02I'll give you a hint.
05:09This challenge is all about the designer-client relationship.
05:14You need to work with your model to create the wedding dress of her dreams, whether it's
05:19a classic white or a red mini dress.
05:23I was really glad that I had picked Jenny.
05:25She's not high-strung, she's not a lot of drama, she's just, she's perfect for, you
05:31know, the wedding dress, she's perfect.
05:33I hope you've been good to them, because now they're in charge.
05:41Morganza, she's been difficult.
05:44Is this what a 9-to-5 job is like?
05:46Dramatic.
05:48Moody.
05:50And crazy.
05:54I just picked Morganza because she walks great, and if I knew the challenge, I might have
05:59picked a different model.
06:00You have one half hour to meet with them, and two days to complete your mission.
06:06Good luck.
06:07And I see you on the runway.
06:13We have an exciting new challenge, this wedding dress.
06:16The one thing that I just want to assert is I hope that each of you is confident about
06:22bringing your own design philosophy and sensibility into this challenge and not completely abdicating
06:29creative thinking to the model.
06:31You want to win this.
06:33And if you're feeling really uneasy about what's going to be presented on the judging runway,
06:38don't do it.
06:39Because you don't want to end up with your design in the fashion cemetery over there.
06:43Oh, God.
06:50They're excited.
06:51Okay.
06:52Oh.
06:53This.
06:54The black Versace dress.
06:55The Cameron Diaz.
06:56Word of the first Charlie's Angels thing.
06:57Okay?
06:58I don't remember it.
06:59Tight.
07:00Tight.
07:01Tight like this.
07:02Butt is coming down right here.
07:03She bangs into, like, the room, and she's...
07:06For this to be like a lycra, almost a little bit see-through sheer.
07:08I'm so excited about this.
07:23This is the best...
07:25Whatever.
07:26What do you call it?
07:27Challenge.
07:28This is the best challenge so far.
07:29I'll just draw a bunch of sketches and you can pick out whatever you want.
07:31Yeah, do whatever.
07:32Like, I don't know the difference between the fabrics.
07:33Okay.
07:34Whatever you want.
07:35I'll just draw a line of clothes because I like them all.
07:40I'm really happy I chose Aaron because Aaron has let me do, like, whatever I want, basically.
07:45I could be in leather.
07:46You're gonna make a lace out of leather and, like, you know, put the pieces of leather on top.
07:51Oh, God.
07:52You know what I mean?
07:53I mean, it is your wedding day.
07:54I mean, no one has to do it.
07:55You're traditional.
07:56Like she was saying, you could be a red miniskirt, you know?
07:58Yeah.
07:59Well, I'm taking it like, listen, this is my client and I want to make her look beautiful.
08:03I want to make her feel beautiful on the most important day of her life.
08:07And it's my job to do that.
08:09Like, my favorite colors are, like, silver, gray, slash, like, leopard.
08:13Mm-hmm.
08:14Like, I want leopard for some reason.
08:16Yes.
08:17Okay.
08:18Take this material here, going over it with the roses under it.
08:22That would be pretty.
08:24Melissa kept on saying, this is the dress that I've been imagining since I was a little girl.
08:30And I go, wait a minute, aren't you 60?
08:34So you want flowers on the train.
08:36Oh.
08:37The roses.
08:38The roses.
08:39My middle name is Rose, and I have to have roses in my dress.
08:41The dress that she came to me with was, like, cheesy and very princessy.
08:45She doesn't know.
08:46She's not a designer.
08:47You're a good designer.
08:48That's not funny.
08:49Everybody else is trying to make some model dress.
08:50And it's all white, no?
08:51Yeah, it's all white.
08:52Yeah, because we have to put a lot of jewels and jewelry.
08:56You have to.
08:57Really?
08:58All over this thing.
08:59I got to go with the diamonds packed all over it, and it's kind of a little gaudy.
09:08She's Russian.
09:09Like a car seat, right?
09:11Car seat?
09:12Yeah, like, yeah.
09:14Of course that is.
09:15That's her.
09:16She's a little too opinionated.
09:18I just have to make sure that she's really satisfied and happy, like a regular customer
09:23would be.
09:24I have to work hard?
09:25Yes, very hard, baby.
09:26So I'm going to make him work.
09:28I'm going to crack the whip.
09:31And we're going to do this.
09:32But I'm just concerned, in comparison, they're going to take mine's like a cop-out and simple
09:36because of other people.
09:37But they know that we're making you do this.
09:39And if Morganza wanted me to make a see-through tank dress for the beach with flip-flops
09:45and dirty hair, so I'm like, oh my god, I don't want to get eliminated right now because
09:51of Morganza.
09:52Bye, Morganza.
09:53Bye.
09:54Jay's going to be my bitch.
09:56Okay.
09:57I'm so excited about this.
10:00She's like, I want a sheer, a sheer wedding dress.
10:05Because I know there's going to be princesses in this group of, like, veils and bodices
10:10and poof.
10:11And then here comes Morgan.
10:12And her nipples are shoving in her wedding gown, you know?
10:15I don't know.
10:16I'm going to go out this week because Morgan's sabotaging me.
10:21Olga wants his diamonds only.
10:23Are you serious?
10:24Poor thing.
10:25They're not designers.
10:26They're models.
10:27The consensus with all of us is that these girls are just, like, clueless, kind of.
10:31And they just want to look like a Disney character for this challenge.
10:34Was she difficult?
10:35Olga?
10:36You cool?
10:37Baby!
10:38I know what I want.
10:39Baby?
10:40Oh, God.
10:41Because you've got a lot of work to do.
10:42You've got to work hard.
10:44Oh, my God.
10:45I'm making a wedding dress in two days.
10:47Usually people do take months.
10:53Coming up on Project Runway.
10:55Morgan!
10:56Morgan!
10:57I feel that Austin is off his game.
11:02I wouldn't consider her my friend anymore.
11:12All right, everyone.
11:13We're here at Mood.
11:14You're shopping for fabric for a wedding dress.
11:16We have $300 and 45 minutes.
11:19Go for it.
11:20Make it work.
11:29She wanted a leopard print, and I thought this was really awesome.
11:32And since it was the teal, I thought it would be really beautiful.
11:35It was $50 a yard, though.
11:37But I think it's worth it, because it was just so fabulous.
11:41It's funny.
11:42I have a different tint on my glasses.
11:43So this looks like really, like, egg color.
11:45I actually did design my ex-wife the wedding gown.
11:48So I kind of take it close to heart, and I understand how important it is for a woman.
11:52Here's the sequins that I picked.
11:54It's very pretty.
11:56You're gonna need a lot of yardage.
11:58Do you know how much these are a piece?
11:59I need a lot of them.
12:00Melissa asked for roses in her hair.
12:03Wanted the roses in her hands.
12:05It's just tacky, and it's not me.
12:07Whatever I can buy, how many roses?
12:09$135?
12:10I want bags of them.
12:11We need you to wrap it up.
12:12Just get in line to pay.
12:14This time, we have two days for this challenge.
12:18I just wish we could have a little more time with these challenges so we could actually finish these things properly.
12:39Morgan!
12:40Hello?
12:41Jay!
12:42Jay!
12:43Now listen.
12:44No, no, no.
12:45Let me explain.
12:46It's not gonna be like...
12:48No, no, no.
12:49It's not gonna be like...
12:50No, no, no.
12:51It's not gonna be like...
12:52No, no.
12:55It's not gonna be like...
12:56No, no, no.
12:57It's not going to be like...
13:03Believe me.
13:04Morgan, I told...
13:07Morgan!
13:11Morgan,
13:12Morgan!
13:13Morgan!
13:14Let me talk.
13:15I found myself getting caught up in the emotional wrath of Morgan.
13:19And I thought she'd just be fun.
13:22But now I'm getting worried.
13:25And now, the biggest day of her life, I'm the one who has to make the fucking dress
13:29for it.
13:30I'm gonna die.
13:33I hate this.
13:34I hate this project.
13:36So now that I'm thinking, I kind of want to sabotage her.
13:41No, if I was doing that, I'd be doing what Nora was making.
13:46I'd be like, Morgan, I covered your dress in roses.
13:50Listen, okay?
13:52This is not my design, okay?
13:55This is Miss Pageant USA's dress.
13:59I want to be a big poofy princess with diamonds and roses.
14:05She's got everything planned out to a T. Let me tell you, she came in here last night
14:08and was like, boom, this is what I want it to look like.
14:11And I'm like, all right.
14:12They put on so many clothes in their job that they have to put on.
14:17Like, here's your garment, your number 64, get on the runway.
14:21But in this case, it's like, they really want it to be the way that they want it to be.
14:26So when you're trying to execute that for them and they're in more power, like, it's definitely stressful.
14:33This is the French.
14:36Ooh, I love it.
14:37Do you?
14:38Yeah.
14:39Okay, good.
14:40Whew.
14:41I saw it and I was like, it's fabulous.
14:43No, it is.
14:45I feel that Austin is a little bit off his game now.
14:50When you work with a client, you know, you have to tune your energies to your client.
14:55But Austin has one frequency that he operates on.
14:58We'll see how that plays out in terms of their collaboration.
15:02I think it will suffer.
15:03The front neckline to sort of almost follow, like, the natural trait of how this chain
15:09works.
15:10Julia's sense of style is so very different than mine.
15:13You know, I'm sure all the judges are just expecting, you know, Austin Scarlett to come
15:17out with, like, the biggest, whitest, roughlyest, most romantic, like, white wedding gown that
15:22ever was.
15:23But, uh, that's not where they're going to get.
15:26I bought this dye.
15:28It's called wine.
15:29Because for a small amount of money, I was able to get hundreds of roses.
15:34White one?
15:35Oh.
15:36Which are all going to get dyed.
15:37So everything that we do is going to be in the construction and the design of the gown.
15:41Basically, she just wants something very simple.
15:43Low cut in the front, low cut in the back.
15:46I do want to show that I can be very versatile.
15:49So I was glad that she chose that type of a wedding dress.
15:52Okay, cool.
15:53We don't need diamonds.
15:54We don't need pearls.
15:55Yeah.
15:56You should jeopardize your standing here because, you know, any of the models want diamonds
16:01and flowers.
16:02Let them know that, you know, you're going to give them the perfect design that's going
16:05to make them look beautiful.
16:07And then we're going to have a big, goofy silk organza skirt that's going to be removable.
16:17I'm really happy about this challenge because I've designed a lot of wedding dresses and
16:29formal dresses, so I feel really comfortable.
16:32This color is just not what I thought it was going to be.
16:33Damn.
16:34The dye is, of course, the wrong color red.
16:35But I'm just going to take everything with a grain of salt and just keep going no matter
16:36what happens.
16:37I learned my lesson last time.
16:38I came here to compete and not to be around with by somebody.
16:43I'm not going to freak out.
16:44I'm not going to freak out.
16:45They're still pretty though, but they're not the color that they're supposed to be.
16:46They're not the color that they're supposed to be.
16:47So I feel really comfortable.
16:48I feel really comfortable.
16:49This color is just not what I thought it was going to be.
16:50Damn.
16:51The dye is, of course, the wrong color red, but I'm just going to take everything with
16:57a grain of salt and just keep going no matter what happens.
17:00I learned my lesson last time.
17:01I came here to compete and not to be around with by somebody.
17:05I'm not going to freak out.
17:08They're still pretty though, but they're not the color that they're supposed to be.
17:15I really felt that I came up with a good design for joy and I expect that it will win.
17:24Wendy, her things have always been just like gimmicky, silly, not flattering.
17:30She just doesn't understand, you know, the basics of design in addition to the fact of
17:36being completely out of tune with the world.
17:47We have been wanting just once to all go out all together.
17:51It's our once chance to like get dressed up and go out on the town and just really have fun.
17:58What are you wearing?
17:59I'm going to wear a studded thong tonight.
18:03I love to go out.
18:06I love to go dancing.
18:07I like to get all dressed up.
18:09And you know, it's just, you know, some of my favorite things to do.
18:12We're here at the cutting room, an apropoli named night spot.
18:18I am extremely sexually frustrated.
18:23Robio talks about sex 24 hours a day and like he is so checking out.
18:28Alexandra.
18:29With Alexandra, I mean, she's an attractive looking little specimen.
18:33There's like this, uh, an innocent flirtation.
18:37It's this kind of fun that I have, you know, with her.
18:40It's this innocent, you know, innocent fun that we have.
18:45Cheers.
18:46Cheers.
18:47Me and Robert are just friends.
18:48You know, I don't see him like in like a romantic kind of way.
18:51We're just like friends, you know?
18:54We all go outside and then Rob starts doing pull-ups on the scaffold.
18:59First, I started laughing because I thought it was hilarious.
19:01I think that's maybe what fueled Rob, you know, that he was like next to her.
19:05And he's fueled by women, fueled by sex.
19:09I see him pulling his legs up and I'm like trying to get up there.
19:12So I kind of like flipped away because I didn't think he was going to even get his legs up.
19:15And the next thing I hear is a big boom.
19:21I think we're all really worried that, you know, he might be seriously hurt.
19:25Get a napkin. Water, napkin, ice.
19:29We're going to take care of it tonight and get some rest and then you'll be fine.
19:32Drink, you son of a bitch.
19:34Robby-o, Robby-o.
19:37You broke your head open because you were showing off because you wanted to get off with Alexandra.
19:48It's so true.
19:49If they shave my head, I am leaving the place.
19:53The only thing he's worried about is his hair.
19:56He doesn't care about the blood.
19:58He doesn't care if he has to get stitches.
20:00All he cares about is that they don't cut his hair.
20:03But we went to the emergency room and so they put like two staples in the back of my head.
20:07I feel fine.
20:09I could have done that pole vault a little better though.
20:11The landing kind of sucked.
20:12Coming up on Project Runway.
20:13Oh, hell no.
20:14Keep it under control because I do not want to go home.
20:15Ugh.
20:16You would think that we're really getting married.
20:17Stunning.
20:18I don't like the dress Austin is making.
20:19Can you take this off me?
20:20We have to stop.
20:21How's your design progressing?
20:22It might just be simple and pretty.
20:23It might just be simple and pretty.
20:24It's very calvinclosh.
20:25I don't like the dress Austin is making.
20:27Can you take this off me?
20:29We have to stop.
20:47How's your design progressing?
20:49It might just be simple and pretty.
20:52It's very Calvin Klein.
20:53Very Calvin.
20:54But she wanted these weird circles.
20:57They just look like eggs on the hips.
21:01Jay, listen to your own voice and tell her there's a reason why she's a model and you're the designer.
21:08And the one thing you don't want to utter on that runway during the judging is Morgan made me do it.
21:12Oh, hell no.
21:14No.
21:15I mean, she's already labeled as a kook.
21:18Yeah.
21:18So, anyway, you're in charge.
21:21Here are my roses.
21:22Do I see one of the roses?
21:25Mm-hmm.
21:27Yeah.
21:30No.
21:31It's so frosty.
21:32I love it.
21:34Yeah, frosty's the right word.
21:36Yeah.
21:37So that's it.
21:38I'm going to keep going.
21:41So I have some things in my head of what I want to do and we're going to discuss.
21:46I want to put another layer of mesh, but I just want it to be kind of, it's like...
21:49I like it more simple.
21:50I like it, you know, the side things, that's fine for me to go on out, but for a wedding
21:54guest, I think it's just too different.
21:55These cutouts that she wanted me to make ended up looking with like fried eggs, which
22:00is good because then I don't have to use them.
22:02I just need these people, these judges to understand this, you know, and they'll be like, why does
22:06she have eggs on her hips?
22:07Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no, no, I'm good you didn't put them on.
22:09I have to just put my faith in her for the next 20 hours to f***ing keep it under control
22:15because I do not want to go home.
22:17You f***ing weirdo.
22:18She comes in and she brings her boyfriend and then everybody's like, who is this guy,
22:28you know?
22:29You said like you wanted to pick diamonds, right?
22:33That's her big request, diamonds.
22:34Yeah.
22:35All over.
22:37Maybe fill up a little bit more.
22:38If you take the small ones and fill up the spaces, it'll look better.
22:43He's like, walks in and like, well, why don't you put this here?
22:46And he starts taking the diamonds off and rearranging them and stuff.
22:49And I'm like, they don't know that I'm supposed to do it.
22:52They think that they're designing the dress.
22:55Hey, how are you?
22:57Nice to meet you.
22:58Yeah, too.
22:58Hey.
22:59Is this your fiance?
23:00This is my boyfriend.
23:02Oh, you're going to take out your dress?
23:03What?
23:04Everyone's bringing a boyfriend to check out their dress.
23:06You would think that at least three or four of them are really getting married.
23:10They're bringing their boyfriends, their fiancees to look at the dress.
23:15Wow, okay, beautiful couple.
23:18Well, I'm so happy to be working with both of you.
23:25Baby, you like the color?
23:29Oh, look at you, sweetie.
23:31No, the train's going to be really big and poofy with all these different colors.
23:34Stunning.
23:36I don't particularly like the dress Austin is making.
23:39Now, who's responsible for that?
23:41How could I know?
23:42It's really pretty.
23:45He is such a talent.
23:47No, it was her complete time.
23:48A talent.
23:49It really looks old lady.
23:51You upset with the lace?
23:53No, I mean, I'm okay with the lace.
23:54Like, hopefully, if it looks right, but then it looks like an old lady to me.
23:58She doesn't understand the procedure from the idea that she has inside the actual garment.
24:03I think, like, in between there, she gets a little upset.
24:05No, I mean, obviously, for sure, it was.
24:09That's an expensive place, wasn't it, Rob?
24:10Yeah.
24:11Yeah, it was.
24:12Yeah, it was really expensive.
24:14Fifty bucks a yard.
24:16Yeah?
24:17All you have to do is tell him the fabric is expensive and he'll automatically like it.
24:23Trick of the trade.
24:25All right, I think we got it.
24:26Yeah, so you'll be nice and tight, booty, corset.
24:28Nice, sexy.
24:29It's, like, almost right now.
24:30I think you can work it.
24:31Come on now.
24:32This is the color issue.
24:34It was fade.
24:34Multi-tonal.
24:35It was fade.
24:36I love it.
24:37Flowers came out more of a purple color.
24:39I'm actually happier with it now because I think that red roses are really literal, but this is looking really good.
24:45Oh, good.
24:47Oh, good.
24:47Oh, good.
24:47Oh, good.
24:47Oh, good.
24:48Oh, good.
24:48Oh, good.
24:49Oh, good.
24:49Oh, good.
24:50Oh, good.
24:50Oh, good.
24:51Oh, good.
24:51Oh, good.
24:52Oh, good.
24:53Oh, good.
24:54Oh, good.
24:55Oh, good.
24:56Oh, good.
24:57Oh, good.
24:58I'm really going crazy, you guys don't understand.
25:00I'm worried about finishing the desk, period.
25:01Period.
25:22God only knows what's going to happen at this elimination.
25:24Someone's going to get left at the aisle on their wedding day.
25:29I mean, there's always a possibility that I'm out, but my dress is well put together and it's, you know, as close to what Melissa wanted as possible with a couple of minor adjustments.
25:42My whole thing since I've been here is I take each challenge at a time, but the only thing
25:47that's in the back of my head is, is that runway show.
25:49Today, you have until 4.30 to work and to get ready before we have our runway judging and you all have a lot to do.
25:59Your models need to go to the L'Oreal hair and makeup rooms to get prepped for the show.
26:04I'm trucking along as fast as I can.
26:05I mean, this train is just basically like puffing some fillings out.
26:09So, it's not like it has to be this like perfectly pattern made thing.
26:14With me, it usually all comes together at like the last minute.
26:18Oh, it's so beautiful.
26:19I can't believe I'm looking at my like future wedding dress.
26:21It's beautiful.
26:22Don't cry.
26:23It's so pretty.
26:24Oh.
26:25Oh.
26:26Oh.
26:27Oh.
26:28Oh.
26:29Oh.
26:30Oh.
26:31Oh.
26:32Oh.
26:33Oh.
26:34Oh.
26:35Oh.
26:36Oh.
26:37Oh.
26:38Oh.
26:39Oh.
26:40Oh.
26:41Oh.
26:42Oh.
26:43Oh.
26:44Oh.
26:45Oh.
26:46Oh.
26:47Oh.
26:48It feels great.
26:49It does.
26:50Yeah.
26:51Alright, good.
26:52Wow.
26:53I have to take it up.
26:54No.
26:55I like it.
26:56Now I have to take it up a little bit.
26:57I don't wanna see my shoes.
27:00The wedding dress and Olga were kind of like, worrisome.
27:03I'm not really sure if she was happy with it.
27:06It's gonna fit, Kevin.
27:07Maybe do something about the itchy part.
27:08Yeah, that's last.
27:09Ok.
27:10Nerdy one.
27:11Yeah.
27:12Uh, one thing.
27:13Very good guy.
27:14Yeah.
27:15Yeah, that's nasty, okay?
27:17It was just itchy inside because I didn't put a lining in it.
27:20And most girls could handle it.
27:23You guys have a lot of work to do.
27:25Yeah.
27:26And again, about an hour and ten minutes.
27:35My tits are huge.
27:37Yeah, I don't want the left or the right one to fall out.
27:46Everybody, you have ten minutes.
27:56Good night.
27:57It's time to go.
27:58Okay, we're putting it backstage.
28:07But you know, really stretch all of my body, you know?
28:11I don't mind being back for my wedding day.
28:15Oh my God, I can't breathe.
28:18Can you take this off me, please?
28:20The time has come.
28:21We have to stop.
28:23Okay?
28:24I'm really serious.
28:26Yeah, really, it's done.
28:28It's done, done, done.
28:29It's done, done, done.
28:30I know.
28:31Coming up on Project Runway.
28:32I'm not getting you at all.
28:34I think if she went shopping, she could probably find this dress.
28:35And at the end of tonight, one of you will be out.
28:39Welcome back to the runway.
28:40So, eight of you are left.
28:41And at the end of tonight, one of you will be out.
28:44The winner of this challenge will have a guaranteed in.
28:45Which means the winner of this challenge will have a guaranteed in.
28:46Which means you're immune for the next one.
28:47The winner of this challenge will have a guaranteed in.
28:49Which means you're immune for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.
28:50And you're not getting you at all.
28:51I think if she went shopping, she could probably find this dress.
28:56And at the end of tonight, one of you will be out.
29:01Welcome back to the runway.
29:03So, eight of you are left.
29:05And at the end of tonight, one of you will be out.
29:11The winner of this challenge will have a guaranteed in.
29:14Which means you're immune for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated.
29:19This week's challenge was about the designer-client relationship.
29:23You needed to keep your client happy?
29:25Why maintaining your own design philosophies?
29:28And you will be judged on that.
29:31Now, let's meet the judges.
29:34Men who we all love.
29:36Michael Kors.
29:38Hey everyone.
29:39This week from Elle Magazine, we have fashion news director, Anne Slohi.
29:43And we also have Amsala, a highly sought after wedding dress designer.
29:51Our judges will be scoring your designs as they come down the runway.
29:55Okay.
29:56Let's start the show.
29:57The model, who was my client, was very inspiring to me.
30:12And I really felt that I came up with a good design for her.
30:16And I executed it well.
30:19I look at the dress and I do get a little bit worried.
30:34There's definitely more of her than me in the dress.
30:39And I was like, damn.
30:41You know, I really created this thing more for her than I did for myself.
30:47When my wedding dress went down the runway, she looked beautiful.
30:59You could tell by her face she was happy with it.
31:01We worked together very well.
31:04I'm not really sure if she was happy with it.
31:19She wanted more diamonds and I kind of held back on those.
31:23She kind of wanted to keep it a little more minimal.
31:26I don't know.
31:27It's my job to make her look her best.
31:37I felt really good about the dress.
31:39I thought Jenny looked beautiful in it.
31:41When she said she wanted something very simplistic, the first thing I thought is, you know, like a little society girl.
32:00When Julia came out in this wedding gown, I knew that they would be like, what the hell is that?
32:06Because it's nothing like a wedding gown in the traditional sense.
32:09And it's certainly not a typical thing that I would have designed.
32:24I love designing wedding dresses.
32:26I don't know.
32:27There's something about it.
32:28There's a lot more meaning in a wedding dress than just an everyday dress.
32:36It's hard to work with her.
32:48She's just high maintenance and high drama.
32:51I started off with her idea, but I kind of took it in my own direction.
32:57I want to ask all the designers to please come onto the runway.
33:21Designers, we've tallied your scores.
33:24When I read your name, please step forward.
33:29Wendy.
33:35Robert.
33:38Alexandra.
33:41Kevin.
33:42You have a guaranteed in because you won last week's challenge.
33:47The four of you, none of you have won, but also none of you are out.
33:54Your work has qualified you to stay in for the next round.
33:58You can leave the runway.
33:59I was a little disappointed that I was safe.
34:02Of course I thought I had the best dress.
34:08The four of you remain, represent the best and the worst.
34:12I'm going to ask to bring out your model again, and you can justify to the judges your design.
34:25Designers, you're being judged today on your design, but also you're being judged on if the model really got what she wanted.
34:32The wedding dress of her dreams.
34:34Jenny, do you like your dress?
34:37I'm like the least emotional person, and I literally thought I was going to cry when I saw it.
34:42It's like what I wanted and then like 50 times more.
34:45How about you, Maureen?
34:46I wanted something comfortable, sporty, classy.
34:49She did exactly what I wanted.
34:51Melissa.
34:52It was so close to what I dreamed of as a little girl.
34:56Julia, is this the dress you've always wanted?
35:00Yeah, I mean I wanted to go for something a little unusual.
35:03I didn't want to go for the classic white wedding dress.
35:07I just feel like that doesn't express me.
35:10So we really have four happy brides?
35:16So, Michael.
35:17Carson, I've got to tell you, the dress fits her really gorgeously, and I think that, you know, fit fabric all together, it's just terrific.
35:30Thank you, Michael. That is a huge compliment. Thank you so much.
35:38Jay, what do you like and what do you not like about your design?
35:42I, of course, love the bottom. It's very me.
35:45I try to really collaborate with her on this.
35:48She wanted Helmut Lang, and this is kind of my...
35:52Slash.
35:53Okay, Calvin Klein.
35:55My only concern is that she can't move in the dress.
35:58That is my only concern.
36:00No.
36:02There's not enough, there's not enough leg room in it.
36:04It's a very tough, tough design issue, because standing still, you've got a beautiful column.
36:10I'm not doing a runway walk down my aisle.
36:12You weren't doing runway here. You were just walking.
36:13You weren't, you weren't able to.
36:15Bad model, bad model.
36:16No, no, no, no.
36:19Austin.
36:20Yes.
36:21What would you have done differently?
36:23Probably not too much differently.
36:26She had sort of a slightly more dramatic sort of straight back neckline that I thought would be a little more flattering if it was sort of this asymmetrical V thing that we have going on.
36:37It's interesting, but I'm having a hard time imagining it, where she's wearing it. It's very different, but to the point it's too different. Where do you wear this?
36:50It really is your job as a professional to be responsible in the end for your own vision.
36:58Nora, what was her brief when you spoke?
37:03She came to me and said I want something very classic and traditional, and I think it was pretty successful.
37:10My reaction looking at the dress is, it's so traditional bridal. I think if she went shopping, she could probably find this dress. I'm not getting you at all.
37:23The challenge was give them exactly what they want.
37:26I think in this instance, you tip the scale too much to the client. And I think you've always got to hold on to you. Plus, make the client happy. It should be both.
37:36Designers, models, thank you. You can leave the runway and we will call you back shortly.
37:50I think first, let's talk about Jay's dress.
37:53It was very youthful and very sensual and there was a little bit of intellectuality to it, but it didn't overwhelm the simplicity.
38:00And again, you know, she looked radiant and comfortable.
38:04And also what I really noticed on him, although she was very specific of what she wants, she wants to call the client and he tried to give her, but he didn't compromise.
38:14I think he learned one thing that we all know as designers and editors, you know the same thing. When you watch a show, if something doesn't move great, it can kill the dress.
38:22I usually walk really good. I'm sorry.
38:24You do.
38:26That's why I picked you, but not anymore.
38:29Cara Sanya.
38:31Cara Sanya, yeah, it was gorgeous. And you could see her model, her face just lit up. And isn't that what a wedding dress is supposed to do? Plus, it looked like something that I know Cara really loved herself.
38:42You know, it wasn't that she was trying to turn into another designer just to please the customer. I think that's, and that's, that was a big part of this challenge.
38:54Let's talk about Nora's dress.
38:56I did not care for it at all.
38:58And I have to say the model, you know, she's very young and that's what a young girl dreams of, of the big poofy giraffe.
39:04There are ways to interpret the idea of a traditional romantic bride in a much more interesting way than that. And I really think that she really just turned into a dressmaker in this situation.
39:17As a designer, bottom line, you have to have the maturity and focus to figure out how to communicate and convey your vision so that the client understands that you really do have their best interests at heart.
39:28How about Austin's dress?
39:33It's disappointing. I mean, to see talented people get steamrollered by the client. But if you're going to get steamrollered by a young girl.
39:40Yeah.
39:41And I understand like a non-traditional wedding, but I don't care if you're getting married in Williamsburg in a, in a loft. You're not wearing that.
39:49They don't like the design. They judge you on your design. No, they like the design. I thought it was too weird.
39:56Okay. I think we made up our mind. Let's bring out the designers.
40:03We've seen the runway show. We've heard what you and your models had to say. And we made our decision.
40:24We've seen the runway show. We've heard what you and your models had to say. And we made our decision.
40:39Karasan. You're the winner of the wedding dress challenge. You have a guaranteed in which means you're immune for the next challenge and cannot be eliminated. You can leave the runway. Thank you.
40:58Thank you. Thank you so much. I was excited to get the win. I really was because I love the dress. And my focus right now is just get to the final three.
41:08Good job. Jay. You're still in. Please leave the runway.
41:23Austin and Nora. One of you is in. And one of you is out.
41:42Nora, while your client was happy with her dress, you compromised too much on your own design philosophies. And Austin, your model liked her dress as well, but it looks nothing like a wedding gown.
42:03It looks like a wedding gown.
42:14Austin. You're in Austin. Thank you. You made you the runway.
42:26That means, Nora, you're out. Thank you.
42:30We felt like we couldn't find Nora in your wedding dress at all. And you cannot forget Nora when you design.
42:38Thank you. Thank you very much.
42:41You're out.
42:43Auf Wiedersehen.
42:44Bye.
42:45I think my downfall was just the fact that that dress is just not me. And it's kind of a shame to me because I'm, like, embarrassed that, like, I have to leave this show with that being my last piece.
43:03Hey.
43:04What's up?
43:05I really am going to miss everybody here. And I really want to show so much of myself so much more. And I can't do that now.
43:18I just want to stand in here.
43:24I just hate the fact that I'm going to miss the challenges that are going to come in the future that I really think I could have done a number on.
43:32Next on Project OneWay.
43:35You only have five hours to complete this design.
43:39Screaming at the sewing machines, it's not going to help.
43:44Please, please, please.
43:45It's the moment of truth. Stop what you're doing.
43:49Austin was really being over the top and fake and basically said, you know, we had to do whatever it takes.
43:56Hello. I'm ready to sew my vagina.
43:58What happened?
43:59It ripped.
44:00I'm out. I'm out of this show.
44:02Oops.
44:03I don't think I would have taken that shot.
44:06I believe a woman and a classic sports car are very much alike.
44:10What?
44:11Really, honestly, I'm over this.
44:12You know what I want? Eliminate me. I'm done.
