00:00He was a surrender from a family who knew that he had a broken leg.
00:07They actually requested euthanasia for him.
00:13From the very first night, just the sweetest cat.
00:20We have two cats and two dogs. He just integrated seamlessly.
00:25The intent is always to help them out, get them healed, and then out the door.
00:31I never plan on foster failing anybody.
00:36It was that first night. He put his little head next to me. It was almost like saying thank you.
00:41I was like, oh man, I don't think I can let him go. Especially how awesome he was with other foster
00:47kittens. I've been fostering animals for probably over 20 years.
00:51I got a request to take in a litter of five kittens.
00:58At first, Walter was kind of looking at those things going, what is that?
01:02He started to jump into their little kennel and play with them and play with them.
01:08We thought maybe it was a fluke after the first litter.
01:13With every single kitten that's come into this house since he's assumed that same uncle vibe.
01:18Mickey was a foster who came in at around five weeks of age and we knew he was one.
01:26Walter seemed to show him all of the ropes, including climbing. Walter came by and just guided
01:33him step by step. It was such an accomplishment for Mickey and for Walter. They seemed to celebrate
01:38it at the very top together. Walter really has fit so well into the family.
01:44I had never expected a cat to come in and have a job, but he really does.
