Kapo On His Debut Album, Shares His Feelings About His Music Connecting With People | Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025

Kapo chatted with Billboard’s Griselda Flores & Jessica Roiz on the red carpet of 2025 Billboard’s Latin Music Awards.

00:00Capo, four times finalist in our awards, what do you feel?

00:04I feel like you're passing everything fast in your career.

00:08Well, more fast, it's like, I say, it's giving value to every thing you're doing, you understand?

00:14We're a lot of people who work a lot, and we all day we're on the sun, and we're on the sun too.

00:20So, of another way, I'm happy that this is happening, and that, finally, the music of Capo connected with the world, and we're here today.

00:30Speaking of that, your album, your debut album, what does that mean in your career, being your first album?

00:40It's incredible, because it's music that we really do, as I said in the conference,

00:46more than knowing what we do is what we do, because we feel it, because I come from there, because I have it in the blood.

00:52So, it's taking what we have here, showing it to the people, connecting, and putting them to cry, to cry, to enjoy what they feel.

01:00¿Y cómo viviste esa experiencia? Ese panel fue primera vez que teníamos un panel de Latin Afro Beats.

01:05¿Qué se sintió estar ahí con Ozuna, con Goyo, Benesti, Umbi?

01:09Se sintió muy bien, porque son artistas que respeto, que admiro mucho.

01:13De una u otra manera, cada uno tiene algo para aportar, sea en la historia, sea en la música,

01:18sea en lo que es la creación de la música con los productores, con Umbi, que también es muy duro, Benesti.

01:24Eso que les tengo mucho respeto, Ozuna, Goyo, y pues gracias a Bilbo, a Leila, a todos ustedes,

01:29a los medios que estuvieron ahí, que pues siguen difundiendo lo que estamos haciendo.

01:40Entonces, ¿qué vas a hacer vos? ¿Qué serenata nos vas a decir?

01:42No, pues cualquier vez que te cante, pues.

01:43Ay, ¿por qué?

01:44Es que yo me voy old school, yo me voy a la que es mi himno, pero ya no estamos en esa era.

01:51Capito, a ver, ¿por qué?

01:52Ah, bueno, mi corazón solo late por aquí, cuando estamos en la cama yo te toco ahí,

01:58cuando estamos en la dijo bailando afro beat, se te nota en la cara, no te quiere ir.
