00:00Hello there, good afternoon. It's set to be one of those days where there'll be sunshine
00:04and all of a sudden you'll be caught out by a heavy downpour. Changeable is a good way
00:09to describe it. Yes, it's going to be another day of sunny spells and showers. Showers most
00:14frequent across western areas, particularly across southern parts of Wales, where we have
00:18issued a localised yellow warning for rain. So do take care if you're travelling, there's
00:22likely to be spray on the roads, particularly through this morning. But nevertheless, low
00:26pressure situated the northwest is going to sweep in plenty of showers, these likely
00:30turning heavy, if not thundery at times. The best of the brightness is probably going to
00:34be across the far east and southeast, but even here you could still catch a shower or two.
00:40Temperatures around about average for the time of year. Highs reaching around 22 to 23 degrees
00:44Celsius across the southeast. For something a little fresher across the north, temperatures
00:49in the mid to high teens here. Now it's set to be quite a breezy day and this will continue
00:54through the overnight period. Still plenty of showers feeding through, but we really do
00:58need to keep all eyes across southern counties. We've got this heavy band of rain skirting its
01:03way eastwards through the overnight period. Once again, this is going to turn quite heavy
01:07and thundery. It may even be enough to wake you up during the middle of the night. But it
01:10is going to sit around the south and southeastern portion of the country by the early hours of
01:14the morning. So quite a wet start here. Elsewhere, plenty of showers once again feeding through,
01:18but turning a little dry across central and eastern areas. And under any clear skies,
01:23it will feel a little cooler and fresher to start the day on Friday.
01:27So still a chance of some heavy downpours across the southeast. Sussex and Kent and eventually
01:31pushing up into parts of East Anglia. Once again, heavy, possibly thundery before this system
01:36eventually clears its way into the North Sea. And it's going to be another day of showery outbreaks.
01:42Once again, particularly in the west, in the northwest, where we could see some heavy downpours,
01:46but there should be some bright and sunny interludes in between. Temperatures fairly similar. Highs
01:51reaching around 21 to 22 degrees Celsius and still always that little bit fresher across the far
01:56north. Now, low pressure remains the dominant feature for our weather. A slight ridge of high
02:01pressure means a bright start Saturday morning, but soon being replaced by another system pushing its
02:06way in from the west, bringing widespread outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy and thundery once again,
02:11and also some quite blustery winds, particularly across the far northwest of the country. So do keep an
02:16eye on our YouTube channel for any latest weather updates and you can catch Alex later with the
02:21full details of this weekend's weather.
