A 12-year-old girl, known as a talented basketballer, has been identified as the victim of a fatal bus crash near Geelong yesterday morning.

00:06school yesterday when the bus they were traveling in failed to negotiate a bend in the highway hit
00:11a rail and rolled. One girl died at the scene. She has now been identified as 12-year-old Mila
00:16Colleen. She was a year 7 student at school and in a statement it says she will be remembered for
00:22her beautiful personal qualities, her vibrancy and infectious personality. Her kindness warmth
00:27and joy impacted all who shared her company. The state government says psychological support
00:32is being provided to the school community. Ten other students remain in hospital, two at the
00:37Royal Children's in Melbourne and eight here at the University Hospital in Geelong. Six other students
00:42were discharged from the hospital yesterday along with a 76-year-old driver who's assisting police
00:46with their inquiries. They say it's been interviewed and released by police pending further inquiries and
00:52investigations into the matter are ongoing.
