00:00Bristol Rovers earned two points from their first group stage match of this
00:04season's EFL trophy against Tottenham Hotspur's under-21s, drawing 4-4 normal
00:09time before then winning the penalty shootout.
00:11Yeah, my immediate reaction is really disappointed with the first half in
00:16particular. We have to start games of football miles better than that, we know
00:20that and we have to show that as well. To take some positives from it, a little
00:26bit of character to get back into the game, you know Fabrizio coming off the
00:29bench and getting his first couple of goals, there's a couple of positives
00:32spin from that, but we can't start games of football like that, as open as that, so
00:37we're disappointed and that needs to be addressed and we'll look to put that right.
00:40Yeah, you mentioned those 15 minutes there, the first 15 minutes there's no
00:44other word than disappointing for that. Yeah, yeah absolutely, I don't really know
00:47how to describe it other than that, you know, we're with the players, we'll work
00:52with the players, we'll try and make the players better, that's our job, that's our
00:54job as coaches to get the team organised and to make the players better, so we'll
00:58get to work on doing that so that can't happen again. And in the second half, was that performance
01:02much more improved in your eyes? You see the intensity in the game, you saw the
01:06energy went up, you saw that the spaces were a bit smaller, yes we tweaked things a little
01:10bit tactically but there was definitely more energy out there in the second half as well.
01:14And Bristol City's Rob Dickey has previewed the Robins' clash in the second round of the
01:20Carabao Cup against Premier League outfit Fulham. The Robins will look to progress to the next round and hope for another Premier League tie if they get through.
01:28Yeah, we feel pretty confident going into it, obviously there's a Premier League opposition
01:34so it's a good chance for us to test ourselves at that level but we're excited, we feel like
01:40we're going to take the game to them and really hope to compete and come away with a win.
01:45We've had some good performances and results against Premier League opposition over the last
01:49couple of seasons, has that been discussed and will we be taking confidence from that going into it?
01:53Yeah, we'll definitely take confidence from it, past experiences are what you draw from when you go into
02:00nights like these so it's going to be exciting, we took West Ham the distance, we obviously beat them,
02:07we took Notts Forest the distance so we know we're capable of competing with these sides and we'll have to show it again tomorrow night.
