00:08Let's go live to Venezuela to listen to these statements.
00:13So something beautiful is happening with these people.
00:16Look at this.
00:19A moment ago, militia men got close to us and shared with us this speech that President
00:25Nicolás Maduro provided at the National Assembly last Friday, August 22, a beautiful speech
00:33filled with truth that when one reads it and sees the people reading it, one understands
00:40what we're made of and understands what is the destiny that unites us and what is the destiny
00:46that awaits us.
00:47It's a destiny that is filled with history and feats that is also filled with bravery
00:54and it's a destiny that belongs to all of us.
00:58In this speech, President Nicolás Maduro said that this is not about an issue of parties
01:03or political groups or of beliefs or ideology.
01:07It is about defending the homeland.
01:09It's about defending the only thing that we have, and it's a lot, and it's defending the
01:15colors that are on our flags in the National Pantheon in front of the eternal flame of our
01:22liberators in Mont Bolivar.
01:24Today, the call is for all Venezuelans.
01:27Today, all Venezuelans, as Ricardo Bernardo used to say, we must be partial for our country.
01:35We must be partial for our flag, a symbol of indigenous resistance in their face.
01:49Journalists are at this position of the homeland with our microphones and cameras, with our
01:56pencils, with our reporters, with our testimony, with our sight.
02:02Because to defend truth today is defend the homeland.
02:04If it was necessary also to have in our hand a microphone and on the other one the rifle
02:10that defends liberty and peace of our children.
02:14President Nicolás Maduro, you can count that you have an army in journalists.
02:19We are going to Bolivar Square to defend the homeland.
02:22Don't leave the homeland.
02:23And don't leave President Nicolás Maduro.
