Taiwan’s defense ministry says it monitored 28 Chinese military aircraft operating around the country's main island on Tuesday operating alongside Chinese naval vessels as part of “joint combat readiness patrols.” This is the second day of heightened military activity in the Taiwan Strait this week after several weeks of relatively decreased activity.
