00:00And we continue following the event in Venezuela. Now live, we go to our correspondent in Caracas, Bruno Falsi.
00:07Hello, Bruno. Thank you for joining us once again.
00:09Please tell us how this day is developing there in Caracas with this new enlistment day.
00:20Hello, Belen. We are here. We are still here in the Cuartel de la Montaña, in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas,
00:27here in a very big community called the 23rd of January, where people are still coming since earlier in the morning.
00:35As you can see, many people are still coming to answer the call of the President Nicolás Maduro of this enlistment day,
00:44another enlistment day after the last weekend with many working-class population enlisted.
00:53Thousands of people answered this call in the last weekend, and now thousands again are coming to enlist,
01:00to show the national unity of this country against any provocation, any menacing of the United States.
01:09Here is one of the enlistment centers. There are thousands of these in all the country.
01:15There are almost 1,000 of these in all the country.
01:18And the people, as you can see, in complete peace and very organized and tranquility,
01:25they are answering this call of defending the nation against any kind of menacing or a future military invasion.
01:34They will fight to the last. They say they will fight to the last to defend the nation.
01:39They will use arms, if necessary, to defend their peace, to defend their democracy,
01:45to defend the sovereignty of their nation that is against menacing by the United States.
01:51As I always said before, it's important to explain to you how all of this started.
01:57It started with a false accusation of the United States, accusing Venezuela of being part of the international traffic of drugs,
02:09and the government and their leader, Nicolás Maduro, of being the head of this criminal organization.
02:15Accusation without proofs. They didn't show any kind of documents.
02:19They just said, and they now start to menace Venezuela of an invasion.
02:26It's another communication war against Venezuela.
02:30But people here are very conscious of their rights, of their revolution,
02:35and they show with this national mobilization of this national enlistment,
02:40they are ready to defend their nation against this new provocation.
02:46And the government of Venezuela answered, different for the United States,
02:51the government of Venezuela answered with documents,
02:54showing a United Nations document that showed the root of international narcotics,
03:01and Venezuela isn't part of that.
03:04So Venezuela is having many supports in all the world,
03:08as Brazil and Mexico show their support,
03:12China and Russia, and many other governments are starting to say
03:17they are against any kind of attacks against Venezuela,
03:22because the South American continent, the Latin American continent,
03:26is a continent of peace,
03:28and they don't want any kind of troops in this continent.
03:32Now we go back with Belém in the studio in La Habana.
03:36Thank you so much, Bruno.
03:38It's always, always such a pleasure to have your report from site,
03:43from what is happening there in Caracas, such an important day.
