Prayagraj – On the night of August 14, 2025, a shocking case of misconduct occurred aboard the Prayagraj Express (Delhi–Prayagraj) when GRP constable Ashish Gupta, assigned for passenger security, was caught inappropriately touching a woman passenger sleeping on her reserved seat.
The victim recorded the incident on her phone, where the constable is seen folding his hands, holding his ears, and pleading for forgiveness after being confronted by fellow passengers.
Following an online complaint, SP GRP Prayagraj suspended Ashish Gupta and ordered a departmental inquiry. Officials assured that such behaviour from personnel will not be tolerated and strict action is underway.
The video has gone viral on social media, sparking public outrage and raising serious questions about passenger safety on trains, especially from those tasked with protection.
