00:06Now we are going to have to talk about Pride once more I'm afraid, we've already got some brilliant videos out
00:10about some of the amazing performers that we're expecting to see appearing across the Gay Village Party
00:15and the Mardi Gras events at Frey Island and Depot Mayfield this weekend
00:19as well as a piece on what you can expect from the parade and where you need to be to catch it.
00:23Today however we're stuck on a little bit of admin, it is however lovely admin
00:28and that's because Manchester Pride have announced that they've doubled the number of low-income tickets
00:34for this year's Pride Festival and this is thanks to the support of Autotrader who are one of their primary partners.
00:39The initiative offers 50% off the tickets for the Gay Village Party and Mardi Gras for people on limited income
00:45ensuring that people from the queer community from poorer backgrounds don't miss out on the opportunity to celebrate Pride properly.
00:51Now the tickets are available on the Manchester Pride website on a first-come, first-served basis
00:56and there is some proof of eligibility that we'll get into in a little bit so there is some protection as well
01:01from people trying to take advantage of the scheme when they're undeserving.
01:05Now the tickets are available right up until the start of the festival so you should have just about enough time
01:09to get in there before the event kicks off but you must be as quick as possible.
01:14Now to be eligible for the tickets you need proof of address as well as proof that you rely on one of the following
01:20Universal Credit, Working Tax Credit, Job Seekers Allowance, Personal Independence Payments, Disability Living Allowance
01:27and Employment and Support Allowance
01:29and there is also a consideration for those earning under £20,800
01:33which equates to the UK living wage.
