00:01All right, some people believe that Substack is the future.
00:04Is that just hype? Is it all just baloney? Let's talk about that.
00:09Now, Substack is such an amazing platform.
00:12However, there are some cons, and it's different than an autoresponder,
00:15which is more the traditional way to send out emails.
00:19Okay, that's been going on for, like I started in this game in like 15 years ago
00:24and with Chris Farrell membership, and it was all about the email, the power is in the list.
00:30And Substack is such an amazing platform because it also uses email for free,
00:35and you can do so many things.
00:37So some people are just giving up their autoresponders for Substack, which I get.
00:41But there's a few things that you should be aware of.
00:44One, the biggest reason, con of Substack is if you're seen as out of compliance,
00:50your publication can get blocked.
00:53This is a very big con, meaning you're still at Substack's mercy.
00:57What does out of compliance even mean?
00:59Well, it's up to them.
01:00If they don't like what you're sending, they can cancel you.
01:03And take it from a guy who, me, who's lost a lot of accounts, Quora, a YouTube channel,
01:11but that was my mistake, and a bunch of other ones as well.
01:15What's the name of that one, platform?
01:18Anyways, I've lost a lot of accounts.
01:19It sucks.
01:20It really, really sucks big, big time.
01:23So it's not an autoresponder.
01:26Now, what makes an autoresponder so cool and so awesome is it has a welcome sequence.
01:34Someone opts in, they get one email, then they get a second email.
01:38It's tailored for that person and so on.
01:41It's such a wonderful, wonderful sales tool because everything's built on order and built on the last email.
01:48So with Substack, you can only send out one welcome email, not like a series.
01:54It's different.
01:55It's not really a sales tool.
01:56Think of it more like a blog that gets sent to people through their email.
02:03Another negative is that you really can't segment your list and do more advanced features,
02:08such as trigger an email if someone does a specific action.
02:13So with an autoresponder, you can track who bought what.
02:18You can target offers accordingly to them.
02:21And with Substack, you can't really do that.
02:23So what I'm planning on doing with Substack is use it very similar to my LinkedIn weekly newsletter.
02:32You can use it to repurpose your blog content, your video content, have some helpful tips,
02:39and use it to grow your audience and build that trust, sort of like a giant Twitter thing.
02:44Follow and recommend other Substacks as well and hopefully they do the same
02:48because Substack is such an amazing tool for that.
02:52Back in the days, they used to call it joint venture where people would make deals like,
02:58hey, I'll recommend your list if you recommend my list.
03:02And Substack has made that so much easier.
03:04So it's just such a great idea.
03:07And do that.
03:09But then really my home base is going to be my website where you can still promote affiliate offers as well.
03:16And basically my landing page and my autoresponder is going to be a really main marketing tool.
03:24Because when you market an offer, maybe an affiliate product or something like that,
03:29some people, they have to look at something many times before they buy.
03:33And an autoresponder is such a great tool if you know how to use it.
03:36It's so simple but so, so powerful that you don't get that with Substack.
03:42So I guess what I'm trying to say is in conclusion, they both are so great.
03:49It's kind of like one's a guy, one's a girl.
03:51Together, it's love.
03:53Which need kind of both, you know, kind of in a way.
03:55It's a weird analogy, I guess.
03:57Peanut butter and jelly, you know, or cookies and milk.
03:59Which one's cookies, which one's milk.
04:01So they both work so well.
04:03And I would recommend doing both if you can do it.
04:09But yeah, Substack is an amazing platform.
04:12It has so many benefits.
04:14Especially if it's free.
04:15And I'll give you another thing too.
04:17A lot of responders, they've gotten pretty much free as well.
04:21Or almost free.
04:22And, you know, back in the days, I just remember these to be so expensive.
04:25Because of competition, I've driven those prices down.
04:28So it really is a great thing.
04:33The thing with an autoresponder is you have to kind of know what you're doing with copywriting.
04:38And that comes with making things entertaining so people want to open your emails.
04:43And this also works with Substack as well.
04:45So they're really, really great.
04:48And if you want to know more about Substack, I actually created a video that goes over like 10 benefits of using the platform as well.
04:57And you can go ahead and check that out.
05:00I'll put a link somewhere in this video.
05:03And I'll put it down below as well.
05:04And you can check it out.
05:05Also, if you're interested in an autoresponder and how to market products through an autoresponder,
05:13I create a whole free guide on how to do that.
05:16And it works.
05:17Your closing rate can go really high if you know what you're doing.
05:21It's a lot of fun for you and the reader.
05:23And the ideas that I have are so creative and so entertaining that it really works, guys and girls.
05:32It really does.
05:33And if you want to check it out, I'll put the link to my free guide below in the description.
05:38So hopefully this might have been at least a little helpful to simplify these two platforms.
05:43They're both so cool.
05:44We're so lucky to have both of these.
05:46Anyways, I wish you guys the best.
05:48You have a wonderful rest of your day.
05:49Okay, bye.
