00:00It's that time of year again as Leeds Festival returns.
00:04National Highways is urging fans to allow plenty of time to get to and from the site,
00:09as up to 90,000 people are expected to venture to Bramham Park.
00:13Similar to previous years, heavy congestion is anticipated on motorways and major roads in Leeds and across Yorkshire.
00:21In addition, roadworks in several areas will likely add to delays, and there'll be bank holiday weekend traffic too.
00:27The message from National Highways is to follow signs for the festival, pay attention to updated electronic signage,
00:34don't rely on sat-navs, take extra care through roadworks, and don't underestimate how busy the roads will be.
00:41If you're not planning to attend, the advice is still to allow extra time if you're travelling around the area,
00:46and avoid peak festival traffic times.
00:49Congestion is likely at Junction 43 of the A1M at Hook Moor, where the A1M and M1 merge.
00:55The A1M at Junctions 44 Bramham and 45 Grange Moor, and the A64 westbound approach to A1M,
01:04with this being closed to through traffic after the Bramham crossroads throughout the festival period.
01:09The A1M southbound is expected to be very slow on Monday between Junctions 44 and 47,
01:15and the northbound exit slip road at Junction 45 of the A1M will be closed from 4am to 2pm on Monday,
01:22to support traffic leaving the festival.
