00:00Segambuk Bersatu Deputy Chief Adam Radlan Adam Mohamad has been acquitted of all 12 corruption and money laundering charges after paying a compound of RM4.1 million.
00:11Deputy Public Prosecutor Farah Yasmin Saleh told the court that the prosecution had accepted Adam Radlan's representation letter in which he offered to pay the compound under Section 92, Subsection 1 of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
00:30The prosecution had requested that the court grant Adam Radlan a discharge not amounting to an acquittal, but his counsel sought an acquittal contending that the prosecution could take no further action on the charges once the compound was paid.

00:59He was also charged with accepting a RM500,000 bribe from Ma'jusul to help the company secure the same project from the government through direct negotiation.
01:08Last year, Adam Radlan was charged with two counts of receiving RM4.1 million in bribes from Lian Tan Chuan and Ma'jusul for helping Nepturus Nguyen Berhad and MIE obtain two similar Jana Wibawa projects and was further charged with soliciting RM2 million from Lian to help Nepturus secure another Jana Wibawa project.
01:28Adam Radlan also faced seven charges of laundering more than RM3 million under Section 4, Subsection 1b of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
