In this lecture, Dr. Zakir Naik answers the important question: Why did Allah reveal multiple scriptures instead of only one book? He explains the wisdom behind the gradual revelation of divine books to different prophets, tailored for their people, culture, and time. Dr. Naik highlights the continuity of divine guidance from the Torah, Psalms, and Gospel to the final and preserved revelation—the Qur’an. He also clarifies why the Qur’an is the last and universal message for all of humanity until the end of time.
00:00Assalamualaikum, Waalaikum Salaam. I am Hafiz from Pakistan. Why Allah has revealed four Islamic books or revelations? Why did he not complete his religion in one book as he knows the knowledge of future? He could have revealed only one book which could be useful for all the periods of time.
00:26Like the Qiyamah, only Qur'an will be implemented upon so that there were no divisions in religion. First, let me correct you, Brother Hafiz, that Allah has not revealed only four books.
00:39Allah says in the Qur'an in Surah Radh, chapter number 13, verse number 38, Allah says,
00:45In every age have we sent a revelation. But by name, only four are mentioned in the Qur'an. The Torah, the Zaboor, the Injil and the Qur'an.
00:54The Torah is the Vahiy, the revelation which was given to Moses, peace be upon him. Zaboor is the Vahiy, the revelation given to David, peace be upon him.
01:03Injil is the Vahiy, the revelation which was given to Jesus, peace be upon him. And Qur'an is the last and final revelation which was given to the last and final Messiah, the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
01:11But there were many other revelations besides these four which are mentioned in the Qur'an. For example,
01:17the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, peace be upon him.
