00:00The next question, Assalamualaikum Dr. Sahib, Waalaikum Assalam, Mr. Barakatuh, Umar Faruk Khan from Pakistan, I am a landlord.
00:08I love you so much, I love you too. You gave me so much clarity in our beloved religion Islam.
00:18My question is that why prophethood ended with our beloved prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
00:23Does not humanity need more prophets? Because no one knows when will humanity end.
00:29Maybe millions of years more. But when we see in history the difference between one prophet to another is 1,000 or 2,000 years.
00:39So every 2,000 years humanity needs prophet. But why not anymore?
00:43Please do not doubt my beliefs. I believe in Allah who is number one and prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is last and final messenger and Quran is the word of Allah Almighty.
00:54So Umar Faruk Khan is asking a question that why prophet Muhammad peace be upon him is the last and final messenger?
01:03Why will a messenger not come after him? And according to Muhammad Faruk, you know, a messenger comes every 1,000 years, 2,000 years.
01:10Because, you know, now already there's a requirement. Why will there be no other messenger to come?
01:18If you read the Quran, Allah says in various places, including Surah Sabah chapter 34 verse 28 and Surah Fatih chapter 35 verse number 24.
01:28There is not a nation or a tribe whom we have not sent a tribe to have not sent a owner in the past.
01:43So every nation there is, and Allah says,
01:49In every nation have we sent a guide.
01:53So by name, there are 25 messengers mentioned in the Quran.
01:59Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, peace be upon them all.
02:05By name, 25 are mentioned.
02:07But our beloved Prophet ﷺ said, it's mentioned in Sahih Bukhari, that Allah has sent 124,000 messengers on the face of the earth.
02:16So on this face of the earth, there are 124,000 messengers sent by Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala.
02:22By name, only 25 are mentioned in the Quran.
02:25In the Hadith, there may be some more.
02:27But all the messengers that came before the last and final messenger, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, they were sent only for a particular group of people.
02:39And the message which was revealed to them was only meant for a particular time period.
02:44So the messengers that came before Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, they were meant only for the people.
02:50For example, Musa al-Salaam was sent only for Banu Israel.
02:52But the last and final messenger, as Allah says in the Quran, in Surah Azaab, chapter number 33, verse number 40, Surah Azumar, chapter 33, verse number 40.
03:12Allah says, that Muhammad, peace be upon him, is not the father of any of your sons, not the father of any of your men, but he's the seed of the Prophet.
03:31He's khatim al-Nabiyin.
03:32And Allah is full of knowledge.
03:39So here when Allah says clearly in the Quran, in Surah chapter number 33, verse number 40, that Prophet Muhammad is the last and final messenger.
03:52So all the messengers that came were meant for a particular group of people.
03:56So since Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was the last and final messenger, he was not sent only for the Muslims or the Arabs, he was sent for the whole of humanity.
04:05And Allah says in Surah Anbiyah, chapter 21, verse number 107,
04:09وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا قَا إِلَّا حَمَتِ الْعَالَمِينَ
04:11That we are sending not but as a universal messenger, as a mercy to the whole of humankind, as a mercy to all the creatures, as a mercy to all the worlds.
04:24So Prophet Muhammad, because he was the last and final messenger, he was not sent only for the Muslims or the Arabs, but was sent for the whole of humanity.
04:32The question posed is that previously there were messengers that came every 1,000 years, every 2,000 years.
04:39Now so many years have passed, 1,400 years have passed.
04:42So why isn't Allah sending another messenger or why is Prophet Muhammad the last messenger?
04:49To tell you that, yes, there were messengers that came after 1,000 years, after 2,000 years, but many a time there were messengers, even two messengers at the same time.
04:58For example, Musa alayhi wa salam and Haran alayhi wa salam, they were together at the same time.
05:03There were more than two messengers at the same time, Ibrahim alayhi wa salam, Ishaq alayhi wa salam, Ismail alayhi wa salam, Lut alayhi wa salam.
05:08So there is no hard and fast rule that one messenger should be at one time.
05:12There can be two also, there can be three also, there can be more, or there have been times when there were no messenger at all.
05:20So that messenger came and maybe after 2,000 years, another messenger came.
05:23Now as I told you that Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wa sallam is meant for the whole of humanity.
05:31All the messages that came earlier were meant only for a group of people and was meant to be followed for a particular time period.
05:39As Allah says in the Quran in Surah al-Rawd, chapter 13, verse 13, Allah says,
05:48وَقُلِّكَ مِنْحَادِ
05:49Allah says, وَقُلِّكَ اَجْلٍ كِتَابٍ
05:53That in every age, have you sent a revelation?
05:56Have you sent a book?
05:58Have you sent a kitab?
05:59By name, only four revelations are mentioned.
06:02Torah, Zaboor, Injil and the Quran.
06:04Torah was the vahe, the revelation that was given to Moses, peace be upon him.
06:08Zaboor was the vahe, the revelation given to David, peace be upon him.
06:13Injil was the vahe, the revelation given to Jesus Christ, peace be upon him, Isa al-Salam.
06:17And Quran is the last and final revelation, which was revealed to the last and final messenger, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.
06:23Allah says in the Quran, in Surah Ma'idah, chapter 5, verse number 3,
06:27On this day, have a perfection religion for you, have chosen for you Islam, and have completed my favor on you.
06:37A perfection religion for you, have completed my favor on you, and have chosen for Islam.
06:41So now when Allah has completed his deen, Prophet, this completed his deen, through the message of the Quran,
06:52there is no other message going to come, there is no other revelation going to come.
06:55Therefore, since there is no other revelation going to come, there is no requirement of a new and another messenger.
07:03And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala chose Quran as the last and final revelation.
07:10So when there is no other revelation going to come, why is the requirement of a new messenger to come?
07:15Now you may ask the question, then why did Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala reveal the Quran directly?
07:19Why did he have to reveal Zaboor, Torah, Injil, etc.?
07:24The thing is that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is our creator.
07:29And he knows what is best for the human being, and when and where.
07:34Now, what we have to understand, that Allah and his divine wisdom knows how the human beings think.
07:41So in the earlier messages, what he revealed, whether it be the Torah, there is a bull, and the Injil, what the humanity could understand, he revealed.
07:51The Quran is on a different level.
07:54It has a different reach, has a different acumen.
07:58So Allah knows very well that when will human beings be able to understand and implement the Quran.
08:05So 1400 years ago, when the last and final messenger, Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala made him the messenger,
08:14and revealed the Quran about 1400 years ago.
08:16And he knew this is the time when humanity has developed so much that it can understand the Quran.
08:23Now, once the final revelation has been revealed, the Quran has been revealed, Allah has said he has completed his favor,
08:29and have perfected the religion, what is the requirement of another revelation?
08:36There is no requirement of another messenger.
08:38So that is the reason, because the Quran is complete.
08:42Nothing new can be added to it, nothing can be subtracted.
08:47And, if we analyze, the messenger is there to explain and give the message.
08:55When the message is final, even the messenger has to be final.
08:58So that is the reason, don't think that one more messenger will come.
09:02He is the last and final revelation.
09:04He is the last and final messenger.
09:06Allah gives a promise in no less than three different places.
09:08In Surah, Allah says, in Surah Tawbah, chapter 9, verse number 33.
09:16In Surah Asaf, chapter number 13, verse number 9.
09:18And Surah Fatah, chapter number 48, verse number 28.
09:23That,
09:24That,
09:27That Allah has sent his messenger with guidance and the religion of Surah, so that we pray well over all the religions, over all the other ism, however much the Muslims don't like it, however much the idol worshippers don't like it.
09:41And, and one place Allah says, that enough is Allah as a witness.
09:44So, since the message was last and final, the messenger also will be last and final.
09:54So, Allah and his divine wisdom, he is a creator.
09:59He knows that at this time, humankind will understand the message.
10:04There is no requirement of another message.
10:06That is the reason Allah takes it upon himself.
10:09In Surah Hijr, chapter 15, verse number 9.
10:11Allah says, I have revealed the Quran and I shall guard it from corruption.
10:15So, he has perfected the religion, and he has completed his favor, and that is the reason he says in chapter 33, verse number 40, that Prophet Muhammad is the last and final messenger, and after this, no prophet will come, no messenger will come.
10:36Hope the answer is the question.
10:38Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
