01:10And in uh, in de Jesus, you see a
01:14Samson Legawix who's always I'm bringing those sleeper opponents
01:17Yeah, right with you when you see him across the rearview. You're like, oh man, this guy's gonna be good
01:22Maybe this guy could fight a little bit, you know, even if he's unknown
01:27We got a little bit more feeling out on this first round we've got a lot of action the first couple of matches
01:31So seeing guys actually just size each other up for a couple of minutes is already
01:35You know what it is. It's also lefty versus righty matchup a lot of times for me personally
01:39My opinion is no two lefties are the same, you know, so there's always a little bit of feeling out whenever you got a lefty
01:43No matter what kind of lefty he is, so I think you know, you gotta try to figure out

05:17But then jesus changing levels up down going in and out going to the the weak side of the orthodox fighter and firing a combination

06:15It does look like guys that here's he's gonna dive in every time to get into that

06:23Nice heart punch from de jesus it's a good move when you got a guy who's got a good hand position is being a little slippery

06:36A lot of effort from de jesus not a lot of payoff yet a lot of energy being burned
06:51Again i think he's trying to instill some chaos into the fight but he's not been able to
06:56Really close the gap the way he's wanted to and early in his calmness has got a good measurement of distance
07:02And he's not been able to make early uncomfortable yet he's not getting him out of his shell
07:07He's a lot of times when you try to cause chaos you know you end up disrupting the other guy's rhythm
07:11But really early's got a good job of keeping that rhythm little catch-and-shoot hook there

07:23That's the thing when you when you're a fighter who fights at range that chaos can be controlled
07:29And now he's starting to make it work against de jesus

08:40So if you see the opportunity you see the hole you pull the trigger
08:43But um if you got a guy who maybe you're worried about like champs that earlier with clashing heads
08:48Can he give him some shots you don't see?
08:49Yeah, you can kind of let him hang himself a little bit give him some rope
08:52But I think touching the body is a really good thing it can speed up that process
08:59You had a tall long guy fighting from the outside and every time you get close he digs you in your guts
09:03That's a that's a hard style to deal with
09:05Swing this with the left from de jesus is
09:08Having trouble getting to the range of the target as early puts that jab right in his face
09:14There he's able to touch him off the top a little bit
09:22Those punching landed on the arms of early from de jesus
09:27Trying to change his level again
09:29There it is that hit move in and it unloads with both hands those day jesus this is that chaos
09:34You've been talking about paulie getting some success now. Yeah, you're trying to make it physical and be disruptive with his rhythm
09:40But i'll tell you the calmer you stay with guys like this to keep it basic and i like that's what early's been doing early
09:47He's been just using that jab measuring using that lead hand to keep the measured distance
09:51touching the body
09:53And the more you you control it this way the more tired the other guy will get because the other guy's burning energy at three or four times the pace you are
10:04There's that overhand shot again from de jesus that one slipped through
10:07There's a little bit of diversification there nice right on top there by de jesus
10:17As he's got an early swing of the missing here
10:23Now we're seeing early have to deal with some of that fire coming back from de jesus
10:29He's starting to break through more and more having a good round here jesus gets that uh de jesus gets that left hand through
10:35But now early starting to find the target
10:40That's another thing when you're fighting a guy who fights so clean the way early does bringing that chaos making it ugly landing
10:46Some shots can change the whole face of a fight

10:58You see early looks less comfortable now than he did in those first two rounds
11:03Because de jesus has actually been able to land some leather
11:06And what happens when you get uncomfortable when you're usually a guy who stays within yourself is you start throwing the crazy punches the other guys throw
11:11And that's what he wants you to do
11:12He wants you to get into those crazy that crazy kind of
11:15Training exchanges so early has to stay disciplined the way he's here doing here this moment with that jab
11:20It's interesting because de jesus does have a tko loss on his record but he's willing to take a lot of risks here getting hit with some big shots
11:29Well great round there by jorge de jesus get himself back in this
11:38Post success he had landed on levante early
11:41And we're gonna see that double jab and that right excuse me left hand over the top i mean he's from a southpaw position
11:52Landed nicely in the cheek there when they were gonna back early up in that round
11:57Using that southpaw jab and some level changes with his head has allowed him to land that overhand power shot with the left hand
12:03Well levante early coming into this fight of course looking for a test
12:11Against that undefeated record and jorge de jesus has brought that so far

13:10Nice to see you see the face if i already started to get
13:12It's gonna get the haste was even more jittery
13:17That body is up top the herky jerkiness of de jesus all over the place
13:21But he tries to work the body here up against the ropes on early

13:29Pretty good balance once he gets his feet set but he's got to get to that range where he can let that those power punchers go

14:34De jesus is throwing left hands right to the base

14:43Yeah, I think we're really going to see what early's got today because we saw his skills early on but now things are starting to get hot and heavy
14:49We're gonna see how he deals with the pressure and the power punching from de jesus

15:01Three everything de jesus does is hard. He throws everything hard. He faints hard. His defense is hard

15:13But it does feel like as this fight has gone on he's made early more and more uncomfortable because that just never seems to stop the awkwardness from him
15:19The first two rounds were all early the last two rounds. I think jesus has had a lot more

16:07And for those of you just tuning in that is his nickname the world-class gentleman i'm not calling him that it's top notch
16:13It's great it's one of the best well done by the marketing department if it is just him

17:12Sylvain and martinez those guys fought right in each other's breadbasket these two fighting great at middle distance range showing good jabs

17:50He ended up coming over the top of it, but yes, it was definitely a lot straighter than some of the other left hands he's thrown

18:16What angle it's coming from what you do at the very end of the punch the last 30 percent of the punch can be different
18:21He said you can't get old today. His was such an energy. Yeah, you know such a
18:28ball of energy good left-handed again from the Jesus
18:32I think the way he's changing up those left hands is confusing early a little bit too
18:35It's early goes to the right body with a good right hand a second ago is that himself
18:38I mean, do you blame him? He's got he's firing off of that head movement that herky-jerky upward body movement that angling footwork
18:44And sorry, it's round five. He's still moving like this. That's impressive for any ground fighter
18:52Watch those those heads on the inside
18:55Lefty righty, especially when you got a herky-jerky lefty like this you could always see that clash of heads
18:59A little short combination by early and generally it's the taller man who gets the worst end of those butts that would be early
19:05But so far so good hasn't been too many head clashes
19:16Right-hand catches DeJesus coming in so much jousting for the foot position as well between these two guys this round

20:23Good adjustment round last round from early
20:27He saw some of that herky-jerky movement from de jesus and instead of just standing his ground he either popped right back and counted right away
20:34Or timed the shot with a right hand
20:36That's been a nice adjustment that early hasn't shown up until that last round able to catch him with that hook coming in early on de jesus
20:46It's felt like even though he knows the risk of getting in there into that kitchen de jesus is not backed off one bit

20:54A nice one two there from levante early on de jesus and that time it was de jesus going straight back
21:00Getting caught on the end of the combinations from early who stepped in and early followed up
21:04He landed that right hand jab combination at 2-1 and then stayed with de jesus as he backed out and ripped a nice body shot at the end of it
21:11And they always say don't go straight back like that, you know, but if you're gonna do it at least change the levels
21:18You're going go straight back and you don't change your level
21:20When the opponent follows you he's gonna find that trajectory and de jesus changes levels well on the way in but not so much on the way out

21:27That's the problem a lot of guys when they pull out like that they pull up well straight up
21:31They think they're safe when you got a guy with a little bit longer reach
21:34Or when he punches to where his targets going to be with anticipation that's when you get popped right there with a right there
21:40From early on de jesus i told you there was an adjustment last round from early he found something and he's he's following it up here
21:47In round six we talked about this being a test for his undefeated record uh
21:51How do you like the idea that he's now at this portion of the fight and trying to figure out this riddle listen adjusting is what it's all about
21:57That's what the best fighters in the world do at the world championship level everybody adjusts is a constant
22:02Fighting back and forth of adjusting adjusting adjusting early showing here that he can adjust on the fly even with a competitive opponent in front of him

22:17These guys exchange in there, but I think it's who's got the better of that early smiles though
22:21He's got a little smirk on his face as he dodges that right hand
22:25That was a clean left hand there early token he stepped into it so obviously got a good chance

22:33But rounds three and four early was looking uncomfortable with the shots that dejesus is landing now here in rounds five and six
22:40He's walking through him smiling. He's back to being comfortable

22:52That one got that he seems his attention his legs are still not right

23:55Because it does look a little bit like Early has done some figuring out.
23:59Well, Early made an adjustment.
24:00Now, DeJesus has to make the adjustment, but he might be running out of time.
24:03Or entering the seventh of eight rounds tonight, you know, it seems like Early just figured
24:09out this adjustment two rounds ago, so not a lot of time left for DeJesus in a bit of
24:15a hole here, needs to make something big happen fast.
24:21Can accept for round seven of eight between Levante Early and Jorge DeJesus here in Kissimmee,

24:34DeJesus brings a left hand, tries to do some body work, but knows a bit blocked.
24:40Right hand up top by Early on DeJesus.
24:45That time Early didn't have the opportunity to have that little rock back right hand and
24:54just tried to beat DeJesus to it by popping that right hand out, because his back was
24:59against the ropes.
25:02That's jab there by Early's Unestablish that.
25:05We saw that early on in the fight, he established the distance in that feel-out first round with
25:09the jab.
25:11Yeah, he got away from it a little bit, right?

25:14Big left hand misses there by DeJesus as Early gets out of the way.
25:17Again, remember, when you're dealing with an awkward guy, keeping it simple is sometimes
25:20the best solution.
25:21And anytime Early just goes back with that simplicity, that jab, that playing that line
25:27of distance, skating, and just using those simple shots and pot shots, it looks like DeJesus
25:35is pretty controlled.
25:37It's when he tries to come undone a little bit and tries to land some bigger shots, DeJesus
25:40gets his chance.
25:40As awkward and as offbeat as DeJesus is, he's pretty simple.
25:47He's coming in the front door.
25:48He's got no push and pull.
25:50It's right in front of you.
25:51Yes, he's changing levels.
25:52Yes, he's going left and right, but there's no pulling back.
25:55There's no making you reach.
25:56That's why he exaggerates all those things that he does, because he's trying to make
26:00up for that.
26:03Going back to an oldie, the goodie there is that overhand left with DeJesus.
26:06Yeah, that's one bit of trickery here that DeJesus does have.
26:10He sort of bends his knees like he's going to your body, and then he'll shoot the overhand
26:13shot over the top.
26:14And he does it off that weird rhythm.
26:16And then sometimes he straightens it out like that one.
26:18He was going to get a left hand through there on Early.
26:22Early lands it right on top.
26:24The difference now is that DeJesus is not falling up at it.
26:31That was not happening before.
26:33He'd touch you and he'd rip off a nice combination.
26:35Now there's a little bit of hesitancy.
26:38DeJesus fatigued.
26:39DeJesus getting clipped.
26:41Probably fatigue, though.
26:43Tell you what, though.
26:44Early comes out with the win.
26:46He looks like he's on his way to doing it in a fight where he's going to have work for

26:50DeJesus still makes a good account of himself.
26:54This is a guy who's going to be very difficult for anybody to deal with.
