00:30:33David Flair brain didn't worry about a match.
00:30:35He came in to do entry, and that's exactly what he did.
00:30:38Well, you're a pretty tough man if you got a crowbar in your hand.
00:30:41And there he's taken it to DDP, hitting him in the ribs.
00:30:45I'll never forget the look on David Flair's face.

00:30:51I've never seen this young man this way before in my life.

00:31:13Well, Mike, all I can tell you is what the doctors have told me.
00:31:16Dallas suffered a chipped collarbone, cracked sternum, cracked ribs.
00:31:22I'll be honest with you, I don't know when he's going to be able to come back to work.

00:31:31And that's part of the reason why I wanted the Nitro Girls to be included in this.

00:38:33The last ten days, within the last ten days, Scott Steiner, one of the toughest men, one of the biggest men in all sports, all of WCW, has had back surgery.
00:38:43And we had Larry Zbysko recently go out to Scott Steiner's home and talk about his injury and his prognosis for coming back.
00:38:51But before we go there, we want to take a very special look at a man who's been one of the most dominant men, Scott Steiner.
00:38:57No doubt about that.
00:38:58I'm surprised he didn't operate on himself as tough as he is.
00:39:01They don't come any tougher than the Steiners.
00:39:03He is not only one of the toughest, he is one of the most dangerous in all of WCW.
00:39:07And I can tell you this right now, when Scott Steiner, or we'll find out in this interview, if he comes back, and I'm sure he is going to be making it back.
00:39:14I can tell you right now, when he gets back in the ring, he is going to be one man to contend with.
00:39:18And I know that, if nothing else, he's very upset that he couldn't be a part of this tournament to crown a new WCW tournament.
00:39:24Well, and him and his brother, you know, Rich Steiner, he's one of the baddest men on this planet, too.
00:39:28Can you imagine them in tag team competition, those two?
00:39:31I tell you, if Rick Steiner, or Scott Steiner was in the tournament, you'd have to give it to him, him or Rick.

00:40:17Big Papa Pump, of course, a man we haven't seen for a few months now.
00:40:21A man faced wrestling's biggest nightmare, severe back injury.
00:40:27Scott, I gotta ask you, what caused the injury?
00:40:30Well, Larry, about a year and a half ago, I hurt my back, but I came back from it.
00:40:34But this May, I had three screws put in my shoulder, and I had to wear a brace, which caused me to lean to the left,
00:40:41which re-aggravated those re-ruptured discs.
00:40:43So, ever since that soldier surgery, I've been in severe pain.
00:40:48You talk about pain, Scott, and that's the common denominator between, you know, a wrestler's career going on or being ended.
00:40:56But there had to be a last straw.
00:40:58I mean, what was the final, you know, point when you said to yourself, I mean, I can't take it anymore, I've got to get the surgery?
00:41:04Well, I opted to, you know, tried every option I could to try not to have surgery.
00:41:09You know, I had six epidurals, you know, and every time you have epidurals, it has caused severe headache, then I had nerve blocks.
00:41:14But it just kept, the pain kept on coming back after every one.
00:41:18So, I just had to get out of pain, so I had to, you know, that was my only option left, so I had to do surgery, you know.
00:41:26Now that I believe every doctor's diagnosis, but, you know, what did the doctors tell you, you know, before you had the surgery?
00:41:33Well, they had an MRI taken, and of course, the MRI showed I had three ruptured discs.
00:41:38And then they told me they'd just do a discectomy, and I should be fine, so.
00:41:43Plus, it'd get me out of pain, so, you know, I was all for it, you know.
00:41:46You know, I know it's tough sitting around, wrestling gets in your blood, and when you're an active wrestler, it's a different lifestyle.
00:41:51And, of course, now you're in a lot of pain.
00:41:54So, how are you dealing with everyday life? You know, what are you doing day to day here?
00:41:59Well, right now, I can't do nothing for the next 21 days.
00:42:03You know, I'm supposed to just take it easy, try to walk, you know, lay on my back a lot.
00:42:08And after that, I go into an extensive rehab program.
00:42:11And then eight to ten weeks after that, I go back to the doctor, and hopefully he'll give me some good news and go from there.
00:42:18Scott, you know, the big question I've got to ask you on the mind of everybody is, you know, what's in the future for Big Papa Pump?
00:42:25Is Scott Steiner going to come back?
00:42:28Well, I pray to God I can, you know, but, you know, I'll be honest with you, I don't feel great right now.
00:42:34You know, I just can only go by the doctor's prognosis.
00:42:39And he says, you know, with the fragments he took out, he had to cut in half to get out of my body.
00:42:44So, it was pretty severe.
00:42:45So, I can only go by what the doctor says, and I just, you know, cross my fingers, hope that he's right, you know.
00:42:55Still a lot of questions to be answered about the career of Scott Steiner.
00:42:59As we see the beautiful Nitro girls without Kimberly come out, after they were.
00:43:06Well, Steiner's too tough to be put on the shelf.
00:43:09He'll be back, he'll be back sooner than that too, believe me.
