00:04:58And the surprise is, his son, David Flair, tonight will get a shot at the World Heavyweight title.
00:05:06You heard it just a moment ago, outside of the front of the United Center,
00:05:11at the base of the statue of Michael Jordan.
00:05:14Bruce MacArthur of the Works Foundation there,
00:05:17the man who built this magnificent structure, Ric Flair the President there, and Bobby the Brain.
00:05:21He then, David Flair.
00:05:23We know all the chances he's had in the sport.
00:05:25He gets the big chance tonight, as Ric Flair has signed down his son, David, and Kevin Nash for the World Title.
00:05:32But we still have not heard from the World Champion himself.
00:05:34Well, you heard what the General said and what the Nature Boy said, the President.
00:05:37They're going to build a statue ten times bigger than the one of Michael out front.
00:05:40Now, Nash is a lot bigger than David Flair.

00:06:53Fit Finley, of course, well-renowned Dave Taylor, of course, but there is Steven Riegel.
00:06:59Steven Riegel has returned to the wars of WCW.
00:07:04As a matter of fact, he returned to the wars, kind of, this past Thursday on Thunder.
00:07:10Take a look at the footage now.
00:07:12It was Saturn and Benoit against Fit Finley and Dave Taylor.
00:07:17Finley and Taylor had a little miscommunication.
00:07:19And out of nowhere, Steven Riegel appeared and reunited these two men,
00:07:24who were pointing fingers at each other, Brain.
00:07:26Well, Steven Riegel's a very smart, intelligent wrestler.
00:07:29He's a master on that mat, and he knows these two men's styles.
00:07:32He knows what he's talking about.
00:07:34And I think this trio now with Riegel, Dave Taylor and Fit Finley are more dangerous
00:07:41than ever before.
00:07:42We know they're talented, very talented wrestlers, but Riegel and Finley will
00:07:47wrestle together in this match, and Dave Taylor is there with them as well.
00:07:51But they will have to face two of the most talented young men in professional wrestling today.
00:08:01They get a rousing ovation, well-deserved.
00:08:05We're talking about Mary Sander and the one and only Crippler, Chris Benoit.
00:08:11This is gonna be a great match.
00:08:13Scientific wrestling, you know about Steven Riegel, you know about what Finley can do,
00:08:18and you know Benoit and Sander, they'll mix it up.

00:10:21The intensity, the key word here for both teams and all four men.

00:10:30He's very physical with Benoit.
00:10:32And Benoit likes to mix it up.
00:10:34He can get real physical with you.
00:10:38Steven Regal looks in great shape.

00:10:41Steven Regal is a fine performer.
00:10:43I don't think anyone who's ever been in a wrestling ring will tell you that he's a slouch.
00:10:48They all say he's one of the top in the world.
00:10:50And Finley trying to take Benoit down momentarily, but the Crippler popped right back up.
00:11:00The knuckle lock and then a big sweep and arm drag takedown.
00:11:05And working on the arm.
00:11:06Very fundamental elementary wrestling right here from Fit Finley.
00:11:09But that's just obviously, as we know, a prelude to the fisticuffs and the power moves that we've seen from this big guy from Ireland.
00:11:17Oh, you're gonna see it all right.
00:11:18But I'll tell you the secret to winning this match is teamwork.
00:11:21Whoever controls the best teamwork in this tag match will win.
00:11:25This is a very important match for the Crippler and for Barry Saturn.

00:11:30I mean, on the 11th of July at Passion of the Beach, they'll get a chance to become world tag team champions.
00:11:37Of course, by the time tonight ends, it could be Dean Malenko and Buff Bagwell, the new world tag team champs.
00:11:43But next in line, the Crippler and Saturn.
00:11:46So it's very important for the duo here to really perform well on WCW Monday Night's Row.
00:11:51I think it's important for both teams.
00:11:55I don't think there's any question about that.

00:11:59Slow pace to the opening moments of this, and that's exactly what the wrestlers want.

00:12:26The United Center forward row slam that time by Fit Finley, looking out towards Benoit.
00:12:31Saturn got the exchange in during the commercial break, and Finley has kept it on Saturn.

00:12:57Could be anything on that flag or on the pole, and that the pole is what has been used on the throat and the head here of Saturn as he rolls Saturn back in.
00:13:06So the trio of Regal, Finley, and Taylor being very effective working together in this match.
00:13:14But there you see Perry Saturn firing back.
00:13:17Shoots the man in, and he ran right over him that time with a left-handed lariat cover.
00:13:22And grinds the forearm down as he only gets a two count.
00:13:25That's what Fit Finley can do to you.
00:13:27On just a basic lateral press, he'll drive a forearm, the bone of the forearm across the bone of the jaw, the chin.
00:13:33Bone on bone, it's so painful, and he makes just your basic lateral press even that much more lethal.
00:13:39He'll beat you up a lot of different ways.
00:13:41Like you said, he just put that forearm right across that chin as he was trying to pin the man.
00:13:45He can hurt you five or six different ways in one move.
00:13:48And here's Steven Regal.
00:13:49It's been a while since we've seen Steven Regal here on WCW-TV, but it looks in great shape here.

00:15:08Once again, on the horizon for Satter and Benoit.
00:15:11A chance to become World Tag Team champs.
00:15:13And you said it correctly, Brain, right before the break that if Finlay and Regal can win this,
00:15:20it's equally as big for them.
00:15:22They should be considered top contenders to World Tag Team title as well.
00:15:26And all the eyes at World Championship Wrestling are watching every match.
