Everything you should be doing in Manchester this week

Here are the best events and activities going on in Greater Manchester this week.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World, my name's Theo Houston Betts and it's the start

00:03of another great week here in the city of Manchester. There's lots and lots of great

00:07events and activities on this week, so let's have a look at some of them that you should

00:10be adding to your calendar. Now we're going to start with the obvious one, Manchester

00:13Pride Festival is on over the weekend. Some events started last week, but when it gets

00:18to this Thursday night, a wander through the Gay Village could very well turn into one

00:21of the best parties on earth. We did some videos last week with the team over at Pride

00:26about what can be expected, particularly from their events over at Frey Island and the Mardi

00:30Gras events that are going to be happening there. There's going to be endless great performances

00:33going on in the village too, with some great stars turning out. It's going to be an amazing

00:38weekend. And if you've got time to kill before Thursday, there's another great event in the

00:42queer community, with SEEN, Manchester's LGBTQ Plus Film and TV Festival returning. It's on

00:49up until Thursday and showcases the best of cinema and television from that community. Screenings

00:54are popping up across the city, so try your best to get down and I guarantee you'll have

00:58a great time. Now the Printworks have kicked off their celebration of summer too with a

01:01summer of fun event. There's a massive sandpit full of buckets and spades. The world's largest

01:06Pac-Man is there also, and there's even a giant Jenga and a whole host of other great activities

01:11that are perfect for young kids who need to keep busy over the summer holidays. There's a ton

01:16of other great opportunities too. An art festival over in Rochdale called Side by Side is promising

01:20a week of great performances, exhibitions and more. It's definitely going to be worth a visit.

01:26And finally, Festa Italiana is on over at Cathedral Gardens from Friday through to Sunday this week.

01:30It's the biggest Italian food festival in the UK and you'd be absolutely insane not to try it out.
