00:10:22I thought we would take a look at her.
00:10:24She's, her teaching was so relevant 2,400 years ago.
00:10:31It's like she's alive now.
00:10:32It's really amazing.
00:10:34She was quite a woman, wasn't she?
00:10:361 Samuel, chapter 1, Ramatham and something.
00:10:41That's where they lived.
00:10:42On Mount Ephraim, Elkanah, had two wives.
00:10:49Okay?
00:10:50And that's his history.
00:10:51Normally in the Bible, if you see somebody with a big history, that's usually important.
00:10:56It usually means that that person, somebody special.
00:10:59So they give their genealogy.
00:11:01Not in every case, but in most cases.
00:11:04And here it is.
00:11:05Here's the area we're talking about 2,400 years ago.
00:11:09There, he lived here.
00:11:11And once a year, he would go to here, Shiloh.
00:11:15What was there?
00:11:19The tabernacle Joshua brought into the promised land they set up in Shiloh.
00:11:26So that was basically the main place of worship.
00:11:30And that's where the high priest was located.
00:11:33So they would go there once a year and offer Thanksgiving offerings at the temple.
00:11:39And the name of the place they lived in was the hill with two watchers.
00:11:45So here's an actual photograph of it.
00:11:48Up here, they would have security guards, so to speak.
00:11:52And up here, they would have security guards.
00:11:54They were watchers for the community.
00:11:57That's why they named it that weird name.
00:12:02Okay.
00:12:02Elkanah had two wives.
00:12:05He had Hannah, which means highly favored.
00:12:08And Penanah, which means a pearl.
00:12:14He had two wives.
00:12:15Penanah had children.
00:12:17Hannah had no children.
00:12:19He went up out of the city every year to worship and sacrifice to the Lord.
00:12:24When you see in the King James Bible, the word Lord, there it means?
00:12:30Yes.
00:12:31Jehovah, Jehovah, Yahweh.
00:12:34Of the Lord of hosts.
00:12:35And in this case, it was Yehovah, Sabah, which means the Lord of the hosts of heaven.
00:12:46Okay.
00:12:47In Shiloh.
00:12:49He would go there once a year, annual trek.
00:12:51Took several days to get there.
00:12:53He was a very devout man.
00:12:55Good man of God.
00:12:56and when they got there who'd he meet well the high priest was there eli he was the 17th judge
00:13:04of israel he was the seventh high priest of israel and he he ruled 40 years
00:13:10and he had two sons hopni which means pugilist and phineas which means the mouth of a serpent
00:13:18and they were the priests of the lord and eli had appointed his two sons who were certified
00:13:27knuckleheads to be high priests okay and some people would laugh at that but believe it or not
00:13:35it's very common for good parents well-educated parents godly parents what good people etc it's
00:13:46very common for them to end up with kids who are jacked massively upped so screwed up you can't
00:13:56even believe them polar opposites from their parents well yeah thank you polar opposites from their
00:14:07parents completely whacked and eli was what codependent parent yeah a codependent parent is a very loving
00:14:24caring destructive parent they're so bad they're poor on discipline they let their kids kind of run
00:14:36loose and they usually end up just major league screwed up and you say well eli was a bad guy no no he
00:14:51wasn't he wasn't a bad guy he was a 40-year high priest of israel and this is a kind of the story of samuel
00:15:01and guess what it happened to samuel both his sons jacked up that can happen to you yeah that's why we
00:15:15have a children's healing service every month that's why we have it come on out for samuel chapter four
00:15:22when the time elkanah offered when he got to the tabernacle there he prepared gifts for uh his family
00:15:33and you give him these presentations manah was what it was and it was some kind of fancy food
00:15:40okay and so he would give his manah to his two wives and she had uh three kids five kids three or five
00:15:53kids but hannah had no kids she was barren remember yeah and uh it says here to hannah he gave a worthy
00:16:05portion the hebrew phrase means another angry portion what the heck's going on here every time
00:16:17elkanah would give a bigger portion to hannah guess who got mad
00:16:26oh boy she got pissed see in the beginning god's original plan was to have one man married to one
00:16:39woman but because of the hardness of their heart what happened he allowed them to have multiple wives
00:16:46wives why didn't you want multiple wives well let's think about it for a second wow okay the first
00:16:57reason you don't want the dad drunk all the time number two you don't want the wives fighting you
00:17:05don't want a lot of family jealousy going on with multiple wives yeah why do you think mormons are heavy
00:17:13drinkers anybody know take take a guess come on now take a guess on it whoa hannah is taking a beating
00:17:25the other wife doesn't like her the same thing happened to joseph
00:17:31correct jacob favored joseph the other brothers saw that were you ever raised in a house where
00:17:42one of the kids were favored oh what did that trigger oh let me take a guess jealousy bitterness anger
00:17:54toward the favored child
00:18:01joseph's brother brothers were so sick of him
00:18:05they were so sick of him they dumped him in a well
00:18:12and left him there died that's how mad they were
00:18:19now you know why americans don't have any kids
00:18:23down down what a 1.1 per family now you know if you only got one kid it's hard to be jealous of
00:18:30another kid because there's not a kid see that it's all right there folks you guys don't have it it's all
00:18:38right here
00:18:42so she's mad they dole out the gifts and she's also mad because elkanah loves hannah more than he loves
00:18:53that one drives a stake in your heart
00:19:04have you ever met a scorned woman
00:19:07i've been married to a few so anyway
00:19:08there it's not a pretty sight
00:19:13trust me on that one statement word for that ooh
00:19:17now here's the deal it says here god did what
00:19:23what are we gonna what are we gonna learn with this story something really interesting
00:19:28what born-again christians don't understand because they're
00:19:31they're usually ignorant or they're cowards
00:19:36bad things can happen to you and be a good thing
00:19:45and so when bad things happen they usually do a lot of griping complaining
00:19:49which wipes out their anointing but if you watch this story with hannah
00:19:53you'll see something very interesting here she was
00:20:00unable to have kids and she was sick over it sick to her stomach over it
00:20:07she had prayed a million prayers they weren't answered
00:20:12and every year she would go
00:20:14up to the house of the lord the tabernacle where joshua set it up years ago and
00:20:21the other wife would make fun of her oh you don't have any kids look i got five kids
00:20:28your your womb's dried up it looks like a prune and she would make fun of her and then hannah
00:20:34would be sick to her stomach and then she would cry and she would weep and
00:20:42her husband who loved her more than the other one went out of his way to comfort her
00:20:48huh remember that story she provoked her and she cried all the time now here was the
00:20:55tabernacle of moses joshua had set it up in el
00:21:00shiloh he had the the ark of the covenant in here here was the what
00:21:05holy of holies right and then here was the
00:21:08holy place the second section here and then out here was where they were offering
00:21:14el elkanah would bring his offerings peace offerings to the lord out here
00:21:20okay and no one was ever allowed obviously to go in there for any reason once a year the high
00:21:25priest went in eli remember that yeah and he would offer sacrifices for the sin of israel okay
00:21:32so anyway that's kind of how it looks then then then said to elkanah her husband to her hannah
00:21:38why are you weeping hey i i give you everything i try my best to help you i
00:21:42i i i do more for you than i do anybody else i love you more than anybody else so he tried his best
00:21:51to fix the problem but nothing was going to fix it because
00:21:57she couldn't have any kids hannah rose up after they had eaten in shiloh
00:22:03and uh eli the priest sat upon a seat by the post of the temple eli the high priest would sit there
00:22:10and answer questions by people that came by and he's sitting there and hannah was in deep bitterness
00:22:18in her soul and she prayed to the lord and she wept wow what an interesting way to pray you can't
00:22:26hardly get christians to even pray a lunch prayer nowadays but this gal is doing what pentecostals used to
00:22:33call praying through i got down to the altar and i prayed through and when they prayed through
00:22:42they stopped praying when they had peace that god had heard the prayer and answered it you can't have
00:22:48that by kept praying a casual prayer doesn't work that way hi can you can you help me thank you jesus
00:22:54amen okay that's not going to cut it friend i need you to get busy tonight at the altar and crank this
00:23:01thing she came down to the altar and said i'm going to pray through you don't see many christians
00:23:08doing that first peter 5 says hey do it this way cast all your care upon him for he cares for you
00:23:18winning
00:23:21she vowed a vow he said oh oh lord of hosts yeah hova said boy the lord of the hosts of heaven if you will
00:23:30indeed look on the affliction of your handmaid look down at me remember me that's what the thief
00:23:36on the cross said and he was weeping and crying he was facing death the thief on the cross prayed
00:23:44through and got a miracle from god the dying leper prayed through and got a miracle from god the two
00:23:50blind men prayed through and got a miracle from god casual prayers literally useless oh thank you jesus how
00:23:59are you doing praise god okay friend get used to getting nothing will you good for you you're going
00:24:08to get nothing lord remember me please don't forget your handmaid she's saying these prayers in tears
00:24:17i will give you to your handmaid if you give me a man child i want a boy
00:24:23i will give him to jehovah all the days of his life and he will be a what nazirite he will never
00:24:32have his hair cut who else was a nazirite huh

00:24:44remember that story okay i was a little scared there i thought i had a lot of backs
00:24:54felt like i had a lot of backsliders here that samson was a nazirite got in trouble from somebody
00:25:01doing what oh yeah he went to super cuts and then he went bye bye
00:25:12yikes anyway here's another nazirite the great prophet samuel if you'll give me a man
00:25:19if you'll give me a man i'll give him to you all the days of his life and came to pass as she continued
00:25:26praying for the lord that eli looked over at her and he noticed that she was talking but no nothing
00:25:33was coming out see and he'd seen his sons drunk a lot and they used to do that and they would
00:25:44you ever been drunk don't raise your hand you know you think you can talk but you can't
00:25:51see i did i got up at a party one time drunk just bombed got up and started talking nobody understood
00:25:59anything i said and i was proud of that speech wow wow yeah i quit drinking 30 years ago so i'm good
00:26:09now but back then i was a mumbler anyway he thinks he thinks she's drunk he thinks she's bombed
00:26:17and he takes a look at her he goes now hannah she was speaking in her heart and just kind of
00:26:26whispering out prayer she wasn't saying them audibly her lips were moving and
00:26:34eli thought she was drunk he said how long are you going to keep drinking and be drunk why are you
00:26:40coming to the temple and you're drunk what do you got to learn here listen uh if you're going to
00:26:45decide to follow god tonight and i don't mean follow like going to church or being in church
00:26:51denomination or sitting in a pew any loser can do that i'm talking about really turn your life over
00:26:58to lord if you decide to do that the church people the religious people are going to turn on you
00:27:05and they're going to say things about you that are hurtful and false and negative
00:27:11and that's going to happen to 100 of you and god is watching you to see how you handle it okay
00:27:24and if you get trashed by somebody
00:27:30who do you think you're talking to
00:27:31he makes a note of that see but if you handle it the right way what's the right way here here
00:27:43and he accused her of being drunk but she doesn't respond negatively she says no lord i'm sorrowful i'm
00:27:52hurting i'm praying i haven't had anything to drink i'm pouring out my soul before the lord
00:28:00did you ever wonder why your prayers aren't being answered you got the answer tonight you just read
00:28:07it wow too many casual prayers dear jesus how you doing he's doing fine but you're going to be doing
00:28:15poorly you got to learn to pour your guts out to god very few christians can do that very small percent
00:28:25you got to be able to pour your guts out to god casual prayers virtually useless
00:28:38how do i know all these things well i did prison ministry for years i i taught at half the drug rehab
00:28:45centers in town okay i know all about casual prayers the convicts just stand there some of them just gives
00:28:53you casual prayer because they know other guys are looking at them really come on now
00:29:05you're going to change tonight if you do change i'd recommend you go here
00:29:10pour your soul out before god that draws attention he just boom comes right down to you comes right on you

00:29:59a prophetic word from god go in peace see the results of pouring your heart out to god
00:30:06see that see those tears man father runs over to somebody with tears oh man he feels it he feels he's a feeler
00:30:21praying like that well i think that something needs to be done
00:30:37something needs to be done all right i need to slap you upside your head with this thing
00:30:41what you need is knees and tears
00:30:44if you're looking for a miracle if you're not i'm not mad at you hey don't turn on me you're not
00:30:53interested in miracles that's your business i'm here tonight looking for somebody who is
00:30:59and so i'm screening you out i'm going for them that's what i'm looking for i'm hunting
00:31:08eli says thus saith the lord no problem it's a done deal
00:31:14you got it whoa okay she said let your handmaid find grace in your sight she went her way
00:31:25and her countenance was no more sad wow check it out pouring out your soul to god
00:31:31you go down and pray and you pray your guts out god answers your prayer and faith generates joy
00:32:01you found a pattern here yeah i can't be the only one seeing this
00:32:09they rose early in the morning and they were worshiping for the lord and they returned to their
00:32:13house elkanah knew hannah his wife and the lord remembered her oh now what now we gotta go to
00:32:22another lesson to learn in the spirit world as hannah's teaching us tonight this is good information real
00:32:30good the promises of god throughout the bible are all conditional
00:32:42what was that
00:32:42when you get a promise from god that's half of it the other half is you
00:32:56i feel my afib
00:33:09what did he say all the promises of god in the new testament are conditional
00:33:17they don't work without another ingredient what is that ingredient oh i think you know it's you

00:33:34they got home and guess what happened hannah went into her closet pulled out her favorite thong

00:33:48father gave us a promise but we got to do our part
00:33:52all the promises of god
00:33:57require you to do your part
00:34:01sitting around wishing and hoping does no good
00:34:09old-time preachers used to call that stepping out on your faith step out on your faith brother
00:34:14see that meant put the promise in action step into the promises of god reading the bottom
00:34:29is not going to do any good you read and then you do
00:34:35this guy's crazy no i've got afib

00:34:46when the time could come she conceived
00:34:48well how do you conceive you read a book or no you get busy you got to put the promises of god
00:34:55into action that's why the bible says they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover
00:35:02didn't you ever see the old faith healers all them people getting healed this guy laid hands on
00:35:07them this one touched them wigglesworth gave them a shot to the gut whatever it was
00:35:12some action was taken and the anointing was triggered
00:35:17sitting there like a goof gets you nothing from god zero step out and move
00:35:28that's how the holy ghost moves
00:35:30i should be teaching the entire country okay can somebody get her out of here
00:35:42she conceived why she had the promises of god the prophet gave her the word and then she put the
00:35:51word into action with her new thong
00:35:54is anybody getting this you got to step out and make your move
00:36:10it came to pass when the time was come hannah conceived after she conceived she bear a son
00:36:15she called his name samuel which means i've been heard by god
00:36:19i asked him of jehovah she said
00:36:24and the man elkanah and all his house went up to offer to the to the lord their yearly sacrifice the
00:36:31next year they went back to shiloh he goes every year
00:36:37takes his whole family with him
00:36:40hannah didn't go up because she said
00:36:43he hadn't been weaned
00:36:49he said okay we'll go up without you this this year okay
00:36:57she said when i take him up there he will appear before the lord and there he will
00:37:01be there forever but he's not ready to go yet i don't have him not at the right age
00:37:07elkanah then said do you want do what seems good to you tarry until you have weaned him
00:37:14so the lord will establish his word that's one thing of elkanah knew if god said it there was no way
00:37:23it wasn't going to happen if god says something it's a done deal
00:37:32period you know what he does he causes problems sometimes when he speaks out his word because
00:37:40it's future tense right so he's expecting you to believe it just because he said it
00:37:48and with no proof of any kind that's called
00:37:51faith
00:38:00faith kills it
00:38:07i know i'm helping somebody on youtube
00:38:12they had had the word of the lord they saw the results of it

00:38:21she was barren
00:38:24everybody knew it including the other wife who reamed her out about it constantly
00:38:31there's no question it was a miracle period
00:38:35the woman abode and gave her son suck until she weaned him she was nursing him
00:38:41when she weaned him she took him with her the next year probably three bullocks one
00:38:48flower a bottle of wine brought it to the house of the lord in shiloh they go back again the next year
00:38:56and now the child is young he little and she had they slew slew a bullock and brought the child to eli
00:39:05and she says to eli hey do you remember me i was the one you thought was drunk

00:40:16messages and then i get done and i go into the qt and as i'm walking in the dough
00:40:22some guy comes out some iraqi guy comes out i don't know him from a load of coal he goes

00:40:42some muslim heard me teaching and he's going to kill me

00:43:55some of them kind of expect stuff he doesn't get along with people like that people that are grateful

00:45:39something and gave this spectacular address of how blessed she was and how the world will be blessed
00:45:46and she was talking about the anointed one remember that well hannah does something very similar here in
00:45:53first samuel chapter 2 first 10 verses it's it reads very similar not identical but very similar to mother
