03:18good morning friends hi thanks for joining the podcast today this is brother mike from the
03:25housing from the healing house from the hardcore christianity.com from the arizona deliverance
03:31center welcome to the broadcast this morning thank you for tuning in a couple of quick
03:37announcements it's may and this is the month we're having our annual revival at the deliverance
03:45center and uh it is remarkable what's happening the last year's revival was absolutely fantastic
03:55this one's going to be much bigger than last year so i hope that you uh make some plans to
04:03attend
04:04starts on may 21st that's a that's a thursday thursday evenings our first service then we
04:11have them friday and then we have a couple of sundays saturday and we have a couple of sundays
04:15it's going to be great and uh hope you take advantage of it the holy ghost just floats through
04:22the building and that's a time when you can get from god and have from god whatever you can believe
04:31for no question if you can believe it you can receive it that's right i don't mean to sound
04:40like a tv preacher here but the word of god is true and all things are possible to those who
04:48believe
04:49those who believe now that word believe there in english is not uh correct that's not going to
04:56help us just believing in something is no big deal the greek word pistoual means to believe
05:03with no doubts and no unbelief and to step out on your belief pistoual is a greek verb
05:13so in order to trigger miracles you got to step out on what you believe for example the legendary
05:19british evangelist smith wigglesworth had so many miracles at his services it was ridiculous
05:26one after the other major miracles i'm talking about and he believed to stuo he stepped down on his
05:37faith and he had zero doubt and zero unbelief he was not doubting or questioning anything
05:44he knew the person was going to get healed
05:48and he made his move and that's how that's how faith works
05:54faith that works is dead as you know the greek word pistous is the greek word for faith it means
06:00to believe with no doubts and no unbelief zero and zero and that's why christians can't get their
06:07answers to prayer that's why i haven't gotten my answers to some prayers over the years couldn't be
06:12any simpler you have to your faith has to reach a level where you have no doubt and you have
06:20no
06:20unbelief that god is going to do what he said he was going to do and that's how faith works
06:26and people
06:28that understand that concept their whole lives are filled with miracles all kinds of great things
06:33happen to them it's beautiful christians who don't have that man they struggle like crazy and then they

07:12the arizona deliverance center i will see you there yes sir you know what i thought i would do today
07:20i've been taking care of my daughter for the last couple of weeks um her mother um is her primary
07:27caregiver and she lives with her mother but once a year uh her mother goes on vacation and so i
07:36have to
07:36take uh pretty much take care of her over at the over at the uh respite care center we were
07:45at sunview this
07:46year uh in el mirage but um i go over there twice a day lunch and dinner my my wife
07:57takes care of
07:57breakfast so i'm there all the time you know taking her to the bathroom and um putting her to bed
08:06getting
08:06ready for bed all those kind of things just basic stuff basic nurse's aide stuff that's what i do
08:11but at 71 you know kind of oops i'm kind of wearing out yeah but i want to tell you
08:21a little bit about
08:22my daughter um in what was it 1996 or so my daughter got in a car accident and uh it
08:35was
08:35in the early evening it's up on deer valley road and 51st 53rd avenue something like that
08:43and uh the car dropped off the side of the road and my daughter was sitting in the passenger seat
08:51with no seat belt on well that thing went into a roll she flew out the window or the door
08:57and hit
08:58her head bang on deer valley road and that was the end of her it was over
09:05and from that second forward um i started to see
09:13unbelievable amount of odd things happen in her life
09:18odd stuff happening and at that time i was a hardcore sinner i was living in sin i was
09:25sick i was loaded with demons hope you know the normal thing
09:30and uh my daughter i found out later hit deer valley road and had a major head injury
09:39and following her happened to be a nurse that just got off shift and so she pulls off the road
09:49and then at that same second a hospital helicopter was flying overhead got the transmission from 9-1-1
10:03made a quick circle came back and the helicopter came down and got her they scooped her up and put
10:11her in the
10:12air back and uh she died they resuscitated her got her on a ventilator and took her to john c
10:24lincoln
10:24hospital up in sunny slope and uh while all this is going on i had just finished another 70-hour
10:35work week
10:36i was a workaholic back then chasing the almighty buck
10:41and as you know i had my own counseling practice back then the name of the practice was called
10:46impact rehabilitation services and um
10:52i was home i got home you know after another 10-hour day
10:58and uh i was sitting on the couch i was half drunk
11:04relaxing crashing what i used to call it and the phone rings
11:10i go answer the phone and somebody on the other end is crying
11:15and i recognized it immediately it was my ex-wife
11:20and i said uh teresa what happened to tracy i don't know why i said that something popped in my
11:27head
11:28what happened to tracy and she was crying so bad she couldn't even speak
11:35after a while she finally got the words out that she had been in an accident
11:39and was at uh john c lincoln hospital i said well come get me
11:45so my ex-wife comes over and picks me up we go to the hospital i'm standing out in the
11:51hall she's in
11:52uh she's in the er and uh they told me to go upstairs
12:01um by icu
12:04and that they would be bringing her up there
12:07so i'm standing out in the hall
12:10scared
12:12confused worried
12:13all kinds of emotions
12:17and uh her mother stayed down in the emergency room
12:20well i went upstairs by icu by the elevator where they bring the patients up
12:25and uh the door finally came open after about
12:28a half an hour and they were rolling out a patient to go into icu
12:34and i looked down and i recognized my daughter's nose
12:39her head had swollen up like a basketball
12:42and i knew it was her and i fainted in the hall
12:47um she was unrecognizable
12:51and uh they took her in
12:54she was still alive they had her on a ventilator and all that stuff
12:59there was they were starting to put tubes everywhere in her body
13:02it was uh it was horrible
13:05well
13:07instead of dying
13:10something strange started to happen to her
13:13and
13:14she very very slowly
13:17in increments started breathing again
13:22and um
13:23she was uh
13:24in icu for
13:26three weeks or so and
13:28the bleeding on her brain
13:32wasn't going to stop
13:33and they said well we're going to have to go in
13:35and do surgery
13:37and put a shunt in her brain
13:39you know a tube down to her stomach
13:41so that this overflow
13:45you know liquids and blood and so on
13:47could flow through there
13:49into her stomach
13:50so
13:52she didn't die
13:54so
13:55the day before
13:58um
13:58she was to have her surgery
14:01her brain went back to normal
14:04it just stopped
14:06bleeding
14:07and they canceled the surgery
14:10and so
14:11I thought well boy that was
14:12that was a lucky break
14:14my goodness
14:15so
14:17after a while
14:18her condition
14:20um
14:22started to improve
14:23a little bit
14:24and they took her down to the
14:27regular hospital bed
14:29pediatrics
14:30which was in another building
14:33and
14:35we went down there
14:36and
14:38slowly but surely
14:41she started getting better
14:44one day the hospital
14:46walked up to me
14:47the administrator
14:47from accounting
14:49and she said
14:51listen your insurance
14:52um
14:53covers
14:55we'll cover this
14:56but there's a
14:57five thousand dollar
14:58deductible
14:59I said okay
15:00she said
15:01we're gonna waive that
15:03for you
15:06and
15:08I go
15:09well that's
15:10that's odd
15:13uh
15:14okay
15:14well thank you
15:15um
15:17got lucky again
15:19well then
15:20uh
15:21you know
15:22a few weeks passed
15:24and uh
15:25my
15:25my ex-wife is down there
15:26sitting with her
15:28going through her mail
15:29or something
15:29I wasn't there
15:32and
15:33a man
15:34comes down
15:35to the
15:35pediatric unit
15:36and he
15:37um
15:39he says
15:41to the nurse
15:42out in the station
15:44what room
15:45is Tracy Smith in
15:47she goes
15:47well she's
15:48that's her right there
15:49and that's her mother
15:50sitting by the bed there
15:52she said
15:53who are you
15:54he says
15:54oh I just came down here
15:55to pray for Tracy Smith
15:57so the
15:58it's an old man
15:59you got a ukulele
16:00in his hands
16:02he shuffles in
16:04somebody in his 80s
16:06he walks up to
16:07my ex-wife
16:08and says
16:09are you Tracy's mom
16:10she says
16:11yeah
16:11is that Tracy
16:12laying there
16:13she says
16:13yeah
16:14he said
16:15well listen
16:15the Lord Jesus
16:16told me to come down
16:17and pray for your daughter
16:18is that okay with you
16:20she goes
16:21you know
16:22we're not going anywhere
16:23knock yourself out
16:24so the guy shuffles up
16:26to the side of her bed
16:28she's on all kinds of tubes
16:29and machines
16:30and everything
16:30it's just
16:32it's exhausting
16:35and uh
16:36he reads a couple
16:36scriptures to her
16:37he pulls out his
16:38ukulele
16:39and he sings her
16:41a gospel song
16:43you know
16:43this 80 something
16:44year old man
16:45and uh
16:46he puts the ukulele
16:48down
16:49and he puts his
16:50hands on her head
16:52real gently
16:53and then he
16:54prays a short prayer
16:55and he turns to
16:56uh
16:57my daughter's mother
16:58and says to her
17:01she's going to be
17:01waking up soon
17:03well
17:05she said
17:05oh okay
17:06and then the guy
17:06leaves
17:08i get down there
17:09and hear that story
17:10i go back to the
17:11nursing station
17:12did some old man
17:13come down here
17:13earlier
17:13he had a ukulele
17:14playing
17:15they said no
17:15nobody came here
17:17have you
17:17did you see any
17:18guy with a ukulele
17:20down here
17:21no
17:22no
17:23no
17:23we didn't see
17:23nothing
17:24i said
17:25what are you
17:25talking about
17:26he was
17:26he came in
17:27the room
17:27he was
17:27playing
17:29no
17:29nobody came
17:30down here
17:31sorry
17:31and they're
17:32starting to
17:32look at me
17:33like oh
17:33guys
17:34this poor
17:35this poor
17:36dad is
17:36starting to
17:37lose his
17:37mind over
17:38his daughter
17:38he's cracking
17:39up
17:39i thought
17:40well
17:40that was
17:40odd
17:41boy
17:41that was
17:41a weird
17:42experience
17:43i didn't
17:44i couldn't
17:45make heads
17:46or tails
17:46out of it
17:47didn't know
17:48what was
17:48going on
17:50well
17:51again
17:52going forward
17:52just a little
17:53bit
17:53christmas
17:54showed up
17:56christmas
17:56time
17:56and
17:57my
17:58ex-wife
17:59was a
18:00rn
18:02so
18:02she got
18:03a pass
18:04for tracy
18:05to come
18:05home at
18:06christmas
18:07so
18:08she went
18:09home on
18:09christmas eve
18:10in the
18:12in the
18:13hospital van
18:14then i came
18:15over to see
18:15her christmas
18:16morning
18:17and
18:19while i'm
18:20sitting there
18:22her mother's
18:23getting her
18:23dressed and
18:24so on
18:25and she's
18:26trying to
18:26get her
18:27her
18:28pants on
18:30and her
18:31mother says
18:31to her
18:31tracy
18:32okay stretch
18:33out your
18:33right leg
18:34there honey
18:36i need
18:36to get
18:37your
18:37pants
18:38on
18:39and i
18:39was reading
18:39the sports
18:40page i
18:40happened to
18:41look up
18:41and her
18:42leg went
18:43like that
18:43stretched out
18:44and i thought
18:44well that
18:45that's a
18:46weird moment
18:47to have a
18:47spasm right
18:48when she
18:48said that
18:49that's weird
18:51i didn't know
18:51what was going
18:52on so
18:53she finished
18:54getting her
18:55dress we
18:55put her
18:55in her
18:56wheelchair
18:56so i
18:56rolled her
18:57over by
18:57the christmas
18:58tree
19:01and i
19:03looked at
19:03her eyes
19:04and from
19:04the time
19:05she she
19:06was brain
19:07dead or
19:07in the
19:08accident
19:08her eyes
19:09always
19:09flicker
19:10they would
19:11go up
19:11and down
19:11up and
19:12down
19:12here and
19:13there
19:13up and
19:13down
19:14you know
19:15like a
19:15pinball
19:15machine
19:18and i
19:19was looking
19:19at her
19:19by the
19:20christmas
19:20tree and
19:20stared at
19:21her
19:22i thought
19:22well how
19:23how come
19:24her eyes
19:24are not
19:25bouncing
19:26around like
19:26that
19:27what does
19:28that mean
19:28that's
19:29weird
19:30i don't
19:30know what's
19:31going on
19:31here as
19:31usual i
19:32didn't know
19:32what was
19:33going on
19:33period
19:34anywhere
19:36and i
19:37says to
19:38her
19:39um
19:40tracy
19:41this is
19:41your dad
19:44can you
19:45hear me
19:47i said
19:47listen i
19:48need to
19:48talk to
19:49you
19:50you were
19:51in a
19:51car
19:51accident
19:53you're at
19:54home with
19:54your mother
19:55you're in
19:55a wheelchair
19:57and her
19:58body
19:59instantly
20:00contorted
20:02into this
20:03look of
20:04horror on
20:05her face
20:08and i
20:09leaped
20:10back
20:10stunned
20:11because
20:13it looked
20:14like she
20:15heard what
20:15i said
20:18so i
20:19said
20:19tracy i
20:20want to
20:21ask you
20:21a couple
20:21more
20:22questions
20:22because i
20:23was trying
20:23to make
20:24sure she
20:24was alive
20:25and could
20:26hear anything
20:27i said
20:28i want you
20:29to raise
20:30your thumb
20:31on a yes
20:32i said
20:33is your
20:34name tracy
20:35smith
20:36thumb goes
20:37up it
20:37wasn't a
20:38very strong
20:38thumb but
20:39it was
20:39moving
20:40she couldn't
20:41really move
20:41anything
20:42and i
20:43said

20:47you live
20:48in phoenix
20:48and you
20:49went to
20:49high school
20:49at shadow
20:50mountain
20:50high school
20:51in phoenix
20:53and her
20:53thumb was
20:54going like
20:55that
20:56i said

20:59i'm your
20:59dad
21:01and by
21:02now i
21:02start crying
21:04and her
21:04thumb moves
21:05again
21:05and so
21:07my ex-wife
21:08is upstairs
21:09in the
21:10shower
21:10while i'm
21:11down here
21:12watching
21:12tracy
21:13i run
21:14up the
21:15stairway
21:17like a
21:18mountain
21:18climber
21:18i open
21:20the door
21:21to the
21:21bathroom
21:21i yell
21:22at her
21:24tracy's
21:24awake
21:27she's
21:27alive
21:30i run
21:31back
21:31downstairs
21:32and
21:34crying
21:35and holding
21:36her and
21:36talking to
21:37her and
21:39trying to
21:40comfort her
21:41some way
21:42her mother
21:43comes down
21:44and sees
21:44her
21:45um
21:46everybody
21:48was
21:48was thrilled
21:49and from
21:51that moment
21:51on
21:52christmas
21:52morning
21:53she started
21:55to get
21:55better
21:55uh
21:57physically
21:59mentally
22:00and
22:01uh
22:02within
22:03another week
22:04or so
22:04she was
22:04off the
22:05ventilator
22:05breathing
22:06on her
22:07own
22:09and
22:11shortly
22:12after
22:12that
22:13um
22:14she
22:14was
22:15in
22:15rehab
22:16and
22:17she
22:17turned
22:18out
22:18to be
22:18a
22:18hemiplegic
22:19meaning
22:19that
22:20her
22:21left
22:21side
22:21of her
22:21body
22:22doesn't
22:22work
22:22very
22:22well
22:23and
22:24she
22:24can't
22:24walk
22:25her
22:26right
22:26leg
22:26or right
22:27arm
22:27and so
22:27on
22:28but
22:28her
22:28left
22:28side
22:29of her
22:29body
22:29was
22:30almost
22:30back
22:31to
22:31normal
22:31so
22:32she
22:32could
22:32stand
22:32up
22:33she
22:33could
22:33use
22:34her
22:34hand
22:34she
22:35has
22:35a
22:35tremor
22:36but
22:37it
22:37was
22:37just
22:38significant
22:38improvement
