01:08started fast is important as one of
01:10our one of our goals coming to this
01:12game especially with a bunch of the
01:13ones plan being able to get out
01:15there start fast and get rolling
01:17kind of set the tone for the team

01:20walking up and down to your
01:21offensive linemen congratulating
01:23them giving them some dap tell me
01:25about that group as we know if
01:27they brought in three new players and
01:29how they've been able to form and
01:31come together as a unit yeah it's
01:33been great it's been fun being around
01:34these guys I mean their knowledge
01:37the vets that we have I mean they're
01:41they're awesome especially with these
01:43new guys and new teammates and
01:45brothers that I have now and you know
01:48it's it's been awesome being able to
01:49go out there and practice with them
01:50and then you know now our first time
01:52actually getting out there on the
01:53field and going to war with them and
01:54it shows that obviously the front
01:56office you're the number one pig so
01:58what's the point of not putting
01:59everything around you shows that the
02:01front office is committed how much
02:03does that mean to you that these guys
02:05are coming in that they're making
02:06efforts to make your life easier yeah
02:09it means the world you know because
02:11you come you come to a place like
02:13this with a lot of history and you
02:15want to be able to make something of
02:17it and so being able to have the
02:19support of of not only just Chicago
02:21and the fans and everything but you
02:24know the people that's closest to
02:25you every single day and that's that's
02:27that's the GM that's the president
02:28that's the owner that's all you know
02:30coaches and everything so and
02:32obviously my teammates been around
02:34them every day it's been awesome it's
02:35been great and it's been nothing but a
02:37pleasure as far as Ben Johnson goes
02:39don't let that baby face fool you
02:41because this guy I mean he comes out
02:43swinging but how is that going to
02:45benefit you in the end his coaching
02:47style he's hard on you he's hard on the
02:49team that he's trying to extract
02:51excellence out of everybody yeah it's
02:53important it's important for being
02:55able to accomplish something that we
02:58all want to accomplish at the end of
02:59the day so being able to have a coach
03:01like that it's it's great he pushes
03:04everybody but he also shows that he
03:06cares so it's been important for us to
03:09have him and you know we're excited to
03:11be able to go out there and fight for
03:12them good luck to you on the rest of
03:15the season good luck and I hope
03:16Minnesota coming to town maybe you
03:19guys can show what Ben Johnson's
03:20offense is all about yeah absolutely

04:12Caleb Williams are just visiting with
04:15rookie season that was good he fought
04:17through more than 4000 yards as a
04:20player's franchise record top 10 in
04:23touchdown to interception ratio but
04:25there's the flip side of that
04:26completion percentage was 31st
04:28they're talking about it during the
04:30pregame show the bar that they've
04:31said that Ben Johnson has said he'd
04:33love to see him get to which is a
04:34high bar 70 percent completion
04:36percentage trying to climb that from
04:3963 there were only five guys in the
04:41NFL that sat at 70 last year you love
04:44to have that but like you were
04:45talking about earlier you love the
04:46big strike ability that the offense
04:48brings to yes the ability to put the
04:50ball downfield efficiently and then
04:52you saw that that Bears record that
04:54rookie record of 4000 plus yards I
04:56think of Ben Johnson had his way if
04:59he's thrown for over 4000 yards
05:00you're probably losing you're probably
05:02throwing late in the game going to be
05:04in those low to mid 3000's I think
05:06that's where Josh Allen is that's
05:08where a lot of the good teams are
05:09that don't have to throw everything
05:11in complete 30 15 70 percent
05:17completion percentage that's high
05:19bar that's a high bar but again so
05:21much of the offense is the boot it's
05:23the early play action it's easy
05:24completion so those are kind of
05:27gimmies at the NFL level roll out
05:29flat routes wide open drugs and
05:31crossers it's the pocket pass it's
05:33third down it's two minute drill
05:35that's where the quarterback position
05:37really earns their money in the NFL
05:38and that's why Josh Allen is Josh
05:40Allen because he can do the easy
05:41stuff but he can go above the play
05:43call that's why he's the MVP one of
05:45the guys was jerk off who's playing
05:47in Ben Johnson system Wilson with his
05:50third catch and the tight end takes
05:53it to the 22 where fourth down and

06:58certainly better days ahead than this

07:02Bears ahead midway through the
07:03third quarter

07:55you develop guys and then you like
07:57him enough to keep him and you've
07:59been able to do that time and
08:00again yeah that's kind of been
08:01the you know the model that Sean
08:03and I and the people was you know
08:05nine seasons ago when we got here
08:06and fortunately this year last year
08:08we made some tough moves some
08:09tough cuts knowing what was ahead
08:11that we had some guys like this
08:13that we extended and you never
08:15know how many you're going to get
08:16but you know with James Cook this
08:18week you know we were able to get
08:19quite a few done yeah tell us a
08:21little bit about that that's
08:22obviously the most recent big news
08:23in Bill's country yeah I mean we
08:25we tried to get James down in the
08:26spring you know sometimes you're
08:28not on the same page with him or
08:29the agent and so we got the other
08:31guys done we focused on the draft
08:32and then we just kind of you know
08:34push pause and said we'll start
08:35it up and camp was going and we
08:37were working on it he and his
08:39agent weren't on the same page with
08:40us so he paused for I think eight
08:42or nine days and you know at that
08:45point we we got back on the same
08:47page we had a conversation after
08:49last preseason game that he he
08:51missed and got him back on the
08:52practice field Tuesday and by
08:55Tuesday night we had a deal done
08:56yeah so let's talk a little bit
08:58about the draft we talked about it
08:59earlier in the first half going five
09:02out of six defense three defensive
09:04backs is that the plan going in
09:06sometimes the plan going into the
09:08draft is not how it falls give us a
09:10little insight into that draft
09:11preparation and then ultimately how
09:14it all came together they're going
09:15five out of six heavy defensive side
09:17of the ball the draft yeah Greg I mean
09:19after last season we kind of looked
09:21obviously we did a lot of great
09:22things offensively we you know we
09:24fell short you know sometimes it's a
09:25player to whatever it is but we just
09:28felt like hey we needed to try and
09:29look at some areas up front and you
09:32know try to add some speed we
09:33obviously did that with Maxwell
09:34Harrison who's injured right now but
09:36we also knew by kind of January
09:39February felt like there would be a
09:41lot of positions that would fill some
09:44needs for us that were heavy in the
09:45draft like the D line like the
09:47secondary and so we felt it would
09:49fall that way and we try to take
09:51advantage yeah and you also were able
09:52to bring in a lot of veteran it of
09:54veterans in the offseason a bunch of
09:55guys we know Shaq Thompson Joshua
09:57Palmer I know you guys are high on
09:58him we saw him get some action early
10:01on as you look as the general manager
10:03the architect of what is a Super Bowl
10:05caliber roster how hard is it to not
10:08over correct roster building but also
10:10make sure every year you're bringing
10:12in enough new pieces that things don't
10:14go stale yeah that's a great
10:16question it's it's you're you're
10:18constantly trying to obviously fill
10:20holes but also add competition as many
10:23spots as you can and at the end of the
10:25day
10:26Greg you're not supposed to paint him
10:30into a corner that's my great question
10:32going to break we're going to break we're
10:34going to come here the rest of the game and
10:35give you a chance to answer come on Greg
10:37here in Chicago now we have all the time
10:41in the world we're talking about balance and
10:43and you started to answer and now we have
10:45all the time for you to finish it that's
10:47called a bad lead in that's no that's
10:50me not knowing about fourth down whether
10:52we go to commercial but the floor is all
10:53yours please that's all me yeah no just
10:55trying to strike that balance like
10:56competition you got to you're always
10:58trying to tweak the roster you want to
11:00keep it competitive you want to fill
11:01holes and yes you want to like you got
11:03to be honest with yourself where did you
11:04come up short and and listen when you
11:06play in the AFC you better be able to
11:08get Lamar Pat Mahomes Joe Burr you better
11:10be able to get those guys down if you
11:12want to win those big games and so
11:14that's that's kind of the impetus to
11:15trying to kind of retool this D line
11:17adding a Joey Bosa hitting the guys we
11:19did in the draft and again we again
11:21something we discussed earlier but
11:22your perspective obviously matters a
11:24lot more than our opinions as you
11:26evaluate not necessarily a reset on the
11:28defensive side of the ball but really
11:30adding some young inexpensive where you
11:32saw all those contracts you only can pay
11:34so many veteran deals with the salary
11:36cap but how much do you look a couple
11:38years ago Kansas City again the team
11:40you just mentioned kind of went through
11:41the same overhaul they went very young
11:43very defensive youth on the defense but
11:46because you have Josh Allen because you
11:48have Mahomes you're a little bit more
11:50built to weather some of that early
11:52storm is that a big part of your plan
11:53knowing you're so good on offense you
11:56can take some early lumps let that
11:57defense become a strength again and
12:00they're young and you have them under
12:01contract for four plus years yeah
12:03exactly it was definitely an infusion of
12:05youth was needed on our defense in
12:07in multiple areas and a lot of times
12:09with youth you get you get speed you
12:10get other other things that you may
12:12not have in an aging group and you
12:13know we would love to be in the days
12:15where we still have the Micah hides
12:17the Jordan Poiriers that crew and you
12:19know younger Tredavious White but you
12:21know the game evolves and you got to
12:24find younger guys and again the D-line
12:25we tried to try to get younger there
12:27with with the draft and then again
12:29adding a veteran still going to enjoy
12:30Bosa totally what have you seen from
12:33Bosa I mean obviously we've all seen
12:34him wreak havoc on the defensive
12:36side of the ball for so long out
12:38there with the Chargers on the west
12:40coast like what have you seen maybe
12:42from a guy from afar that now you're
12:43working with up close and personal
12:45at this stage and is like he's got a
12:46lot of juice left like give Bills fans
12:48an idea of what the Joey Bosa that's
12:50going to line up in a Bills uniform
12:52compared to the guy that they've seen
12:53being all pro pretty much his entire
12:55career yeah I mean it's been fun to
12:57be around and you obviously really
12:59marveled at his game all the way
13:01back to Ohio State and then all the
13:02success he had out in L.A. but to
13:04add him I mean he's got he knows how
13:06to rush he's a big long dude he
13:07understands the game he's got great
13:09feel for setting up tackles and you
13:11just can't you know you can't
13:13overcompensate for his God given
13:14ability that he's got and so to be
13:16able to add a guy with his rush
13:17savvy to our group you know is very
13:19exciting for us from the 10 yard
13:23line covering 10 it's into the 24

14:16we're fired up you know a year from
14:17now we'll be opening this thing up
14:19and it's gonna be something that's
14:20pretty special that Buffalo's you
14:22know not had it's a blue collar
14:23town and this thing is you know the
14:25Pagoulas and all the money they
14:27receive from the state really really
14:29is gonna be a nice thing and it's
14:31gonna be grass which I'm you know a
14:32lot of people don't realize you know
14:34I think that's an afterthought that
14:35people haven't realized lately even
14:37when I'm talking so excited that we
14:39can have a grass field as well is
14:41that a safety thing is that
14:42something feedback from the players
14:44like how'd you guys go into making
14:46that obviously we all know the
14:47climate that the issues that come
14:49with that but give us a little idea
14:50of what that looks like yeah I mean I
14:52think you always you know listen the
14:53turf are way better they're way more
14:55improved you know the numbers are
14:57constantly changing as the turf
14:58improves but you know to me there's
15:00nothing better than grass you know
15:02when you can do it you know as you
15:04know you age later in your career
15:05guys are dealing with arthritis things
15:07like that it just it hurts you less
15:08if you're practicing or and or playing
15:10on grass bills mafia inside that
15:13place how loud is that gonna be it's
15:15it's you know our place is loud now
15:17but it's gonna be built straight up
15:18sixty percent of the seats are gonna
15:20be covered it's gonna cut out the
15:22wind obviously our stadium gets a lot
15:24of wind that's gonna be cut way down
15:26which I know the kickers and the
15:27quarterbacks will be very excited
15:29about so should should be a unique
15:32atmosphere hopefully super loud I
15:34believe it will be how important was
15:36it for just the culture and the
15:37history of the organization to keep it
15:39an outdoor stadium yeah I mean that's
15:41that's Buffalo when you watch the
15:43bills from even way back you know I've
15:45learned about the rock pile and and
15:47then moving over to you know rich
15:49stadium which is Ralph Wilson and
15:51then now Highmark Stadium it's there's
15:54a lot of history in Buffalo and they
15:55actually you know and make it you know
15:57people that are designing can answer
15:58way more than I have but they tried to
16:00take some things from even the old war
16:02memorial stadium downtown just to add
16:05different features to it keep kind of
16:07the old school but yet obviously with the
16:09new luxuries of today's stadiums 31
16:13nothing game here four minutes to go in

16:16GM of the Bills Brandon Bean and I we
16:18can't have you up here and not talk a
16:20little bit about Josh Allen I don't
16:21want to bury the lead on this whole
16:23thing he's the MVP but what do you
16:25know that people that are around him
16:27every day couldn't know that that we
16:29should know about Josh Allen in
16:30person Josh is you know he's obviously
16:33we all know he's one heck of a player
16:34and we were all elated for him and you
16:37know our whole fan base was fired up to
16:39see him win the Super Bowl I mean to win
16:41the MVP last year obviously he would he
16:43would trade that any day in the world to
16:45win the Super Bowl which is our goal but
16:47Josh is as great of a player as he is he's
16:50even better off the field he's genuine he's
16:53you see it you know I think some people with
16:55hard knocks have really been able to see
16:56the behind the scenes that's who he is
16:58every day whether a camera's there or not
17:00but Josh is you know he's raised out on you
17:03know in the West Coast farm boy grew up
17:06playing multiple sports like just raised
17:08the right way and and he's been a great
17:11ambassador not only for the Buffalo
17:13Bills but you know the entire NFL go
17:15runs for first down so he talked about
17:19the contract that he got of course
17:22winning the MVP first one for the
17:23Bills and more than three decades back
17:25to Thurman Munson but the biggest deal
17:27happened May 31st he got married did you go
17:31to the wedding I did tell us about it
17:33it was you have to give your cell phone
17:35up I had to give myself that's kind of
17:37like the new thing these famous guys do
17:38yeah I'm like dude man way back when I
17:41drafted you wouldn't have cared one
17:42thing now I gotta give myself we did that
17:44at McCaffrey's wedding last summer and
17:45that was a blast better off that the
17:49cameras that there was no cell phones
17:50I'll just say probably good but I you
17:53know when I got my phone back I had a
17:54thousand messages I was at least asking
17:55the lady that was holding it could you
17:56have at least responded for my phone
18:00isn't it freeing though to like have a
18:03time where it's not on you it is it is
18:06but you're you're so used to it you
18:08get two kids at home you're like is
18:09everything my wife's with me I know
18:11that's good but it said Peter missed
18:13like four calls trying to get deals
18:14done he said major opportunities that
18:17he could have improved the roster but he
18:19was too busy singing journey blame it on
18:21blame it on the quarterback that's
18:24that's awesome a couple weeks left here
18:28in the preseason I know everybody
18:29fired up to get to the real thing but
18:31what is there still to be figured out
18:33for you guys yeah I mean listen we're
18:34still we still got guys fighting for
18:36some of these back in
18:39still fighting for some of these back in
18:41roster spots guys special team spots and
18:44just who's going to fill some of these
18:46depth positions for us Joe came in

19:13preseason the Bears all over the bills a
19:17a new quarterback comes in this is
19:19Austin Reed first year man at a
19:20Western Kentucky few years back he was
19:23the nation's leading passer for the
19:25Hilltoppers now takes over this
19:30Bears offense that has been a machine
19:31tonight drive begins from the 14-yard
19:38line with play action Reed whips it
19:40across his body and has Samori
19:43Torres Torres got 12
20:01over the right side we're talking a
20:18little bit about the offensive line
20:20and the key pieces that came in do you
20:22watch the bear I don't but I've got to
20:24watch it it's so good and they're hoping
20:27the offensive line is to this year if
20:29they give up 68 sacks last year made a
20:32few new hires to come in Tooney
20:35Jackson traded for them Dolman signed
20:38him time to eat I think that's you
20:43know obviously the development of
20:44Caleb Williams the draft picks that
20:46was the best and savviest move Ryan
20:48Poles we're going to have him here in
20:49a little bit in the fourth quarter to
20:50talk through how that all came to be
20:52but solidifying the interior core of
20:54that offensive line for any young
20:56quarterback that was a really savvy
20:59job there by the front office here in
21:00Chicago and I think that's going to pay
21:02dividends as they try to bring out the
21:04best in Caleb Williams this year the
21:06rookie J.P. Richardson at a TCU with a
21:08catch right there and you invest the
21:10draft capital on the franchise
21:12quarterback it's an investment in that
21:14it's a doubling down on that when you
21:15invest in the offensive line and again
21:17remember the interior three of the
21:20offensive line they set the depth of the
21:21pocket so when you want to encourage
21:23your young quarterback to hit his back
21:24foot of his drop and move forward and
21:27not retreat throw off his back foot
21:28throw off time everything about this
21:31offense wants the quarterback climbing
21:33up in the pocket and the more
21:35confidence he has in those middle
21:36three interior players the more
21:38likely he has to do it.
21:39Nowhere to go for Ian Wheeler he's
21:41got a touchdown in this game knocked
21:42out of bounds and that'll bring this
21:44third quarter to a close on to the
21:46fourth we go in Chicago a lot of
21:48fun for the Bears and their fans
21:50tonight they're in the end zone on
21:52the first drive and they've spent a
21:53lot of this game there he doesn't
22:05need no preseason midseason form right
22:08there I mean that is commitment that
22:10is love for your team decked out ready
22:13to go preseason game number two he's
22:17ready to play I don't know if the
22:23Bears need any more help tonight
22:25though up 31 to nothing as his
22:29fourth quarter begins with a wheeler
22:32run four yards off the right side
22:47the right side third and two Wheeler
23:04again slipped his way through inside
23:07the forty five and wheelers having
23:09himself a good game over 60 yards

24:04looks back anytime you're longer

24:08will not see the ball if you look at
24:10the quarterback you have to look up
24:12right into the air that's where you
24:14locate the ball and every time they
24:16do it we've seen now two or three
24:17young guys tonight do it they look
24:19back into the pocket to find the
24:21quarterback they don't see the ball
24:23they slow down
24:25shouldn't that be something that's
24:26already figured out at this level
24:28it's an adjustment right you're
24:30worried about what route am I
24:31running what's the defensive
24:32coverage there he's running a little
24:33what they call a little middle
24:34bender but if it's two high
24:36safeties you keep it vertical if
24:38there's one high safety you adjust
24:40there's so many things going on and
24:42it's all part of just learning to
24:43play at this level
24:46the Bears quarterbacks have
24:50combined to throw for over you got
24:52three hundred yards

25:36everybody but it's great experience
25:38right I mean look at Brock Purdy I'm
25:39I'm not saying he's Brock Purdy but
25:41that was the Purdy story coming out of
25:43Iowa State
25:44Owens the tackle
25:49on Brown
25:51talk about the offensive line we've
25:57talked about the quarterbacks
25:58running back room still a spot where
26:02there are some questions for the Bears
26:03we've got the Andre Swift who has
26:05been a dynamic player before has
26:07played for Ben Johnson before had a
26:09huge season in Philadelphia two
26:11years they're hoping year two for
26:13him in Chicago is a whole lot better
26:15than year one

27:43obviously everything in the NFL starts
27:47with what is the status of your division
27:49so often there's a little luck involved
27:51with these teams that are just
27:52perennially hosting playoff games it's
27:54because they beat up everybody in their
27:56division and we talked about it a little
27:58bit to start the second half Chicago could have
28:02significant improvement in many areas but
28:04it could be a little bit of a battle there
28:06within that division to accumulate a lot of
28:08wins so they're going to be tested early and
28:11we'll find out exactly how quick this
28:14offense can get up to regular season
28:16mode I mean everybody knows the division
28:18is good and remembers last year three teams
28:21were great but it's easy to forget three teams
28:24won 11 games I mean we're not just talking a good
28:27division three 11 win teams and again there's
28:30some questions right now in Minnesota Sam
28:32Darnold has an unbelievable year Kevin
28:33O'Connell brings out the best of every
28:35quarterback he works with Sam Darnold he
28:37signs with Seattle JJ McCarthy the first
28:40round pick didn't play last year they're

33:22Uh, that's something that we've been looking for
33:24Um, so it's good for especially those first teamers that come out and get started and get hot
33:29I thought caleb looked good with decisive getting the ball understand
33:31You know, there's there's the old saying we've said it a few times tonight, right?
33:35The games don't count, but they matter how important to us you took a very different approach playing a lot of your starters than buffalo did like
33:41How important was it for you guys tonight for caleb to execute this offense be in a system communicate with ben
33:48throughout the early part of that first quarter as you guys build and try to peak in week one
33:53Yeah, it's it's absolutely critical
33:55By the time we get to week one, we need this thing to be smooth
33:58There's been ups and downs in training camp and we've owned that and ben's been really hard on the crew
34:04Because of those things so to see a good operation, we can build off of that. That's the foundation that we're looking for
34:10What have you learned so far in training camp?
34:12I'm sure that you could go on and on about that, but your main takeaway so far about your team
34:17Yeah, I love the old line. I think I would start there. Those guys are playing really well
34:21Especially the interior guys with that experience of joe and drew and jonah that's coming together
34:27We all know the depth of the pocket is really important for the quarterbacks so they can get comfortable
34:31I think the receivers have been really fun to watch too
34:35And then my biggest takeaway on defense is I think the effect that dennis allen is having on this team
34:40That group is playing extremely hard. They're a violent group and they have fun doing it
34:44Yeah, we're gonna talk about dennis in a minute, but take us behind the scenes of acquiring the three offensive linemen, right?
34:49Tooney and jackson via trade and then of course signing dolman and free agency from atlanta take us all back
34:54I think it's your savviest move. I told you that we talked last night
34:58So much gets talked about receivers and quarterback, but getting that group solidified
35:02I think it's gonna be a big reason for the improvement take us behind the scenes of how that all came together
35:06Yeah, I think one of the biggest things that i've learned through this time is you got to anticipate
35:10So just looking at free agency. We felt like some of the big names weren't gonna make it there
35:15So with two guys that we knew that could come in to help us. I had experience with with
35:21With tuning and and ben had experience with jonah
35:24That was a no-brainer to us
35:25So we were able to execute that well and then drew was kind of the top center in trade to see
35:30We knew that that was really important for a young quarterback

35:36And when you look at the tackle spots right of course the left tackle spot
35:39I know you guys are still sorting out you feel good
35:41How do you view the offensive line as a whole you know how big how big of an improvement should bears fans expect
35:47From a team last year that fair or unfair came under some fire for the amount of sacks caleb took
35:53Yeah, you should see an uptick in in production there
35:55And I think you're gonna see it in the run game early and often
35:58And that's gonna allow us to do a lot of really cool things
36:01In the air as well, so I think establishing that run game
36:04That's where we'll see the value of those new ads on our offensive line
36:08Well, you touched on you you talked a little bit about dennis allen
36:10It's not just a new head coach you brought him
36:12But he brings in a whole new staff and it seems like that would be a great guy to have as a first-time head coach to know
36:18You can rely on yeah, and and that's the great thing about benny's extremely thoughtful
36:23When he was building his staff that was important to him
36:26So having a guy that he can lean on because he doesn't have all the answers he's he owns that
36:31But he can lean on the guy that's been there and that he can cover his blind spots and and things that he hasn't experienced yet
36:37There's so much expectation there's so much you know
36:39Hope and the new regime and everything you guys have built there's a lot of excitement around the city
36:45How would you view we know everybody wants to win the super bowl
36:48But how would you view especially early on in the season?
36:51What would be a successful start of the 25 season for this new look bears organization?
36:57Yeah, I think a fast start would be important for us to gain the confidence
37:02And really to believe and I talked about this for when when you have a team that's walking into a stadium
37:06And they expect to win rather than hoping to win and hoping things go well for them
37:11I think that's the different mentality so to start fast and seeing the aggressive
37:16Mindset going into these early games and if we can start off
37:20I mean two divisional opponents what a what a great opportunity to get started. How about the division?
37:24We're just talking about that. It's not just good. You have three 11 win teams from last year
37:31Yeah, it's a it's a great challenge and and when we were doing our interviews
37:34That's that's a big part of Ben Ben wanted to be here and he wanted to compete in this division because he knows how tough it is
37:40And that stood out to me and he carries that out in his actions and things that he says and does
37:46Around the facility and the guys feel that we've talked a lot about caleb williams. How about tyson bejian?
37:52He was really impressive tonight. Yeah, tyson's a stud
37:55There isn't a harder worker on this football team than tyson bejian
37:58And you can just see with his background coming from shepherd always kind of had a underdog, you know vibe to him
38:04And the dude's just gritty and he's tough and he continues to work and get better every single year
38:08You know a guy that we've talked a lot about we're going to talk about your draft here in a second
38:13Luther bird the young white receiver
38:15I don't know if you've caught some of the clips the two goal line touchdowns you scored
38:19if you haven't seen it yet
38:20Wait till you see the two you know crack replace type blocks he had on the edge
38:25We showed it two or three times his physicality in the running game
38:29Is that something you guys knew?
38:30Because obviously physically as a receiver running the catch radius
38:34Obviously that jumps off the team. Yeah, I think
38:37That's luther is a tough tough dude run after the catch. I knew that was a special part of his game
38:43What I think you can take away from that is is our coaches and that there's a standard of how you're going to play
38:47That was not how it looked early in training camp trust me
38:51And he heard about it a lot and now you get to the lights come on and he's executing
38:57The way that the coaching staff needs it to be done and it's selflessness. It's just helping his running back
39:02Sprint free and score a touchdown
39:03So if he continues to do that, he's gonna be a special player in this league. How about the rest of the draft class your early impressions?
39:09Yeah, so the tight end that's really
39:11Let's talk about first-round tight ends and shit
39:13I knew it warmed your heart when you started that first time and the tight ends were going off three catches in the first
39:19Or five plays was awesome. Yeah, I love the fact we can have both
39:23Coulson and Cole on the field at the same time and we can do some special things with them
39:27Coulson has been a pro from the minute he got into our facility
39:31We knew that that's what stood out to us had to get over the injury from college and he attacked that
39:38Extremely hard and now he's
39:41He's taking the next step forward and being productive here in the game day
39:44And it's only going to get better as we go

39:50if anything i'd go back to that day just for that hair
39:52That was a big hole here for big brown

40:39yeah he's he's been a stud he showed up in camp and in practice and just starting to show up in games

40:50football to him uh and that energy is very contagious on the team sometimes the less guys know sometimes the
40:55better yeah just just go play we'll we'll take care of everything else yeah uh kyle mononga uh out today
41:02someone that's really impressed us been extremely consistent and another guy that just every single day has
41:08gotten better everything good with him today yep good yep he'll be good did you know that colson
41:14loveland was as good of a singer as he turned out to be but that's that's that's what the people really
41:20no i had no idea he had very good stage presence were you in the room when he did it i was i was in
41:25the room the video was the video was very he had a lot of confidence a lot of charisma he was smooth
41:31that was very good it was i'll tell you what we we went on a visit to michigan uh with ben and uh
41:37jimmy dre and we spent time with him and you could tell when he was moving around that facility
41:43and out arbor uh he everyone that saw him lit up uh there's something special about the human being
41:48which is always a good thing because you know if that's if that his game and the personality and
41:53in the leadership piece uh all comes together in one package you got something special on your hands
42:04probably 11. it is wheelers already got two touchdowns and we loaded up those blocks
42:09from luther burden i'm sure you saw but we got some pretty good angles over right here and it's
