00:00We're here with Cannington Town joint boss Simon Riddle after tonight's 0-0 draw at Beaud.

00:05Simon, that's seven points from nine now. What were your thoughts on this evening?

00:09Yeah, I thought first half Beaud by far the better team.

00:13We just didn't get going for whatever reason. Disappointed really with how we played.

00:18Lucky, probably coming 0-0. Jake made a couple of good saves.

00:21We didn't really get anything linked going forwards.

00:25Reset half-time. I thought we came out better. Then a few stoppages, a few injuries for them.

00:31Sort of broke the game up and stopped the flow a little bit.

00:34But after that, I thought on the break we looked dangerous.

00:39Subs came on and did well, I thought as well. Gave us a bit of extra impetus.

00:42On the flip side, Beaud on the counter, thought they could score as well.

00:46So I think on the basis of play, draw overall was probably a fair result.

00:51Any individual performances which you're happy about?

00:54And also, how pleasing was it to obviously keep your unbeaten record going,

00:58considering you've had three games away from home to start with?

01:00Yeah, three away games.

01:02A bit of credit to the defence as well. That's three keen sheets as well on the road.

01:05So to start the season with that, that's excellent from them.

01:08Last season we didn't score enough goals.

01:10We scored five of our first game, got a winner at Millbrook.

01:12But we still need to look to get the ball in the back of the net more.

01:15Defensive, like I say, we look solid again.

01:17It's just that creativity going forward. We just need to find a little bit extra,

01:20find another gear maybe.

01:21Now we've got a run of home games in the league and we've got a vase in between.

01:25But if we can get on a bit of a run of that, get some more points on the board.

01:28But yeah, three away games, seven points, it's a decent start.

01:31And how do you go about refining that attack?

01:34You mentioned there about obviously trying to create a few more chances.

01:37How do you go about doing that just in case of through work on the training pitch and so on?

01:41Yeah, we haven't really trained since the season started, to be fair.

01:44But we're missing Finn Harrison the last two games.

01:47He joined us in the summer and scored two against Dodd Wolves.

01:50He has a massive focal point up front, brings players into play.

01:53He's a real handful.

01:54We probably haven't missed him the last two games.

01:55He allows up there to work their socks off, to be fair to them.

01:57But having that sort of focal point up front, a natural back-to-goal sort of striker as well,

02:02does suit us.

02:03I think getting him back in the coming games will be key as well.

02:05Looking ahead to Saturday, what are your thoughts on that?

02:08Yeah, on to Saturday, home to St. Day.

02:11Don't know a massive amount about him for this season.

02:14I know last season they started alright, they lost a few players.

02:17But we can't take anything lightly.

02:19It'll be our first home game.

02:20We want to get on a good start at home.

02:22It's important that we now, like I say, we've got those home games in a run.

02:25Getting points on the boards on them will be key.

02:27Our home form last season was excellent.

02:29I think we're beating a home right into well into the new year.

02:31So we can get something similar again going now.

02:33But we can't take anything lightly.

02:35Reset now and go again Saturday.

02:37And hoping to have a few players back for that game?

02:40Yeah, Finn will be back on Saturday.

02:46But I thought Lewis came in for his debut for us tonight.

02:49Played for Holesbury a bit last season.

02:51He looked really lively when he came on.

02:52We've got decent depth.

02:54So the lads were working hard.
