00:01We're here with Holsworthy boss Kevin Squire following today's derby victory over Bude.
00:05Kevin, what were your thoughts?
00:07Yeah, well, today I think the best thing I can say is all about the result.
00:12Was it a pretty game? No. Was the pitch and the conditions there for a pretty game? No.
00:18Did Bude come and try and rough us up a bit and get about us? Yes, they did.
00:23And they did very well at that first half. Second half I thought we matched that a little bit more
00:30and competed a little bit better.
00:33And yeah, got a couple of goals from set plays which we've worked on in the last few weeks and
00:37we've had some success with that really.
00:39And yeah, we got a couple of goals. And yeah, they've come late on with a bit of a change
00:47of formation to try and have a bit of an onslaught, get back into it.
00:50And Chad's just come up with a great save there at the death. Not really too much more to go
00:56into the game.
00:57We've won the game. Not pretty. But it's one of those three points, move on.
01:02In the first half they were the better side and you guys struggled to really force Tyrone into anything.
01:08What did you say at half-time to try and change that? And obviously you came out quite quickly in
01:13the second half and scored twice within the first 15 minutes.
01:17Yeah, I'm a manager who tries to stay calm but at times it's difficult and at half-time I add
01:25some words because it wasn't good enough and it's not what we've been about the last few weeks.
01:30I am understanding the conditions. The wind was super strong in their favour first half.
01:38But again, like I say, we just weren't competing very well and even the goal was sloppy.
01:42I thought we could have caught it from the cross, the keeper, and then when it's gone out we haven't
01:48screened the player from the throw.
01:50The cross is coming too easy and the guys finished off well from their point of view.
01:55But it's poor defending from our point of view and we're just not used to that.
01:58So we had some words, understanding that the conditions would change.
02:02They did change and they've come out second half with, yeah, they've probably got a point to prove.
02:08And that's what's good about these players. They are honest. They know when they've not been at their best.
02:14And they wanted to come out and prove that point.
02:17And yeah, fast start. Got the goal back pretty quickly and went on to get the winner.
02:22And yeah, very pleased.
02:24It keeps you in the race nicely for the top six and next games next Saturday at home to St
02:30Day.
02:30What are you expecting from that one?
02:32Look, since we had a disappointing game at Camerford, my aim is to win out.
02:36My aim was to win out. We were disappointed not to come away with at least a point the other
02:42night at Liscard.
02:43I thought we probably deserved a point. But look, we've lost that one. We've come today.
02:48We just wanted to get back on the horse and we've got the three points.
02:52And yeah, like I say, we've got three games left. Yeah, three games left, St Day, Sticker and Weybridge.
02:59And we'll be looking to win all three and go into it in positiveness.
03:03But we'll see what the conditions are like, because as we can see, one week, it does change week to
03:08week at the moment.
03:10But yeah, we'll be going positive. I think Wednesday's stopped any chances we could get into that top five maybe.
03:17But we'll be looking to win out and see where those points take us.
03:21And what sort of game are you expecting against St Day? They're quite good physically and also obviously they beat
03:26you down there.
03:27So I guess keen for a little bit of revenge of sorts.
03:30Yeah, that's it. All these games, we remember the first time we've played them. And St Day, they've done a
03:36job on us to be fair.
03:37I maybe got some things wrong that day with team selection and how I set up. But our attitude that
03:43day and the way we approached the game, we weren't very good.
03:46And we'll be looking to put that right. They're not bad side. They've got some good players. But I think
03:52we've got some good players as well.
03:53We just need to apply ourselves and set up in the right way. And yeah, we'll be going in with
03:58confidence. We'll train in the week.
04:00We'll make a plan for St Day and look forward to that game.
