00:00I'm a journalist with words. Let's get nuts!
00:04Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:09Alright crossover time, which means we welcome in Dan Dibley and Mark Willard.
00:13People have been waiting for this.
00:14Oh yeah, this is a legacy crossover, guys.
00:17Do you welcome us in?
00:18I mean, I was today years old when I found out you'd rather not do this.
00:22Ask Dibs about the door.
00:24You'd rather not do it. Those are your words.
00:26You said it?
00:27Yeah, I'd rather not.
00:28All things considered, I'd rather not.
00:31Tough day for us, Stiney. That's a tough thing for me to use.
00:34Don't take it personally.
00:35Oh, I don't take it personally.
00:36Just like when...
00:37Don't worry, I'm not going to lose sleep.
00:38When Bob Melvin sits Ramos, Ramos shouldn't take it personally.
00:43Stop, stop.
00:44Yeah.
00:45I'm in my feelings, Dibs.
00:46When Kaminga doesn't want to rebound, it's kind of like Stiney not wanting to do the crossover.
00:50He doesn't want to do what's necessary to make the team win.
00:53Right. Pretty much.
00:54Yeah.
00:55Dibs, I'm in my feelings.
00:56I'm going to tell you why.
00:57Obviously.
00:58So, a couple callers, up to 10, 30, 11 o'clock, called and said during the crossover,
01:03I kiss Willard's butt.
01:05And that hurt me.
01:06Because I don't.
01:08And Will...
01:09Oh, you both do.
01:10What do you mean?
01:11I mean, you both, and I'm looking at the midday show, you both do.
01:15But go ahead.
01:16No.
01:17You do that to Steinmetz.
01:19False.
01:20Start the thing off.
01:21Oh, you were so great.
01:22I heard it.
01:23And I did it.
01:24What did I do when I walked in the room?
01:25Before off the air.
01:26Before off the air.
01:27The day is different.
01:28But every day, there's a Stiney nugget from Dibs.
01:29And I'm like, it hurts, but I just deal with it.
01:32But Willard, I don't care.
01:34Come on, man.
01:35Nobody kisses my ass.
01:37Stop it.
01:38And then Stiney goes, yeah, you've been doing it for like two weeks.
01:41What?
01:42Let's get into why.
01:43What?
01:44Exactly.
01:45And why do people feel that way?
01:47Well, let's...
01:48We can do a live test run.
01:49You ready?
01:50Sure.
01:51Hey, Gu, did you hear what Willard said about Otani?
01:54And I called him out on that.
01:56No, you didn't.
01:57Not to his face.
01:58Yeah, I said, you and Shasky on the air.
02:00That's his face.
02:01No, it's not.
02:02I said, y'all going in too hard on Otani.
02:03Why?
02:04He's not a criminal.
02:05I'm not a cook.
02:06Do you?
02:07I don't know that he's a criminal.
02:09I just have one question for you.
02:10What did you say yesterday, Will?
02:12I'm a jerk.
02:13No, a wolf in sheep's class.
02:16Do you believe the story you've been told?
02:19You believe that millions of dollars left his bank account.
02:21Oh, no, no.
02:22Okay, so you don't believe it.
02:23But I give people credit for finessing the finesse.
02:26Like, he's finessing it and he's getting away with whatever.
02:30His friend is in jail.
02:32That's a jerk.
02:33That's a jerk.
02:34He stole, though.
02:35That's a bad dude.
02:36Yeah.
02:37His friend's in jail.
02:38But the bottom line is you and I have had difference of opinion.
02:40Sure.
02:41And we go at it.
02:42Yeah.
02:43I never, you don't have a bite sound clip of me saying I'm scared of dibs.
02:46So there's something intellectual about Willard that bothers you to where you turn on me when
02:51they come in.
02:52Let me in.
02:53So now I like this round robin we're having.
02:55But dibs, I do feel like you go with Stine.
02:57Oh, Stine, you made a great point at 12-10.
02:59Anybody know what I alienate right now?
03:01No, you.
03:02Well, you just alienated Willard and now you're alienated dibs.
03:05You did.
03:06You did.
03:07I'm not alien.
03:08This is my guy.
03:09I got alienated.
03:10You know what that was me?
03:11Yeah, it'd be an alienation sensation.
03:12I didn't hear.
03:13I missed it.
03:14When did I get alienated?
03:15Well, that's the point.
03:16He ripped you on the air today.
03:18You're not here.
03:19And I said, okay, why don't you say that to...
03:21It was like, yo, these guys with Otani, this is ridiculous.
03:24I said I want to call out two of my teammates and I said Willard and Shasky.
03:28Who takes any of this personally?
03:29He's mad that you're not mad.
03:30Yeah.
03:31Stine is.
03:32I am.
03:33I'm mad that you aren't coming down his road like you did earlier.
03:37No, because dibs is coming down both of ours about we do it to we and we don't.
03:41That hurts dibs.
03:42It's constant.
03:43It's constant.
03:44When you reboot a segment, it doesn't come out as hot the second time.
03:48The second time.
03:49That's true.
03:50Stine said it's constant.
03:51See, you got nothing to say to dibs.
03:54What's the conversation?
03:56He says you kissing up to him too.
03:57I do.
03:58Yes.
03:59Oh my God.
04:00I mean, ask the answer.
04:01Remember that time we did a show today?
04:02Exactly.
04:03It was fun, Joe.
04:04It was a good show.
04:05That was Noah.
04:06Who was this?
04:07It's like you with Evan.
04:08Oh.
04:09Hey.
04:10Everything's great.
04:11I actually recommend it because I've got a day in September I'm doing a banquet and I
04:15said to the boss, instead of me just taking the day off, which, I mean, I'll do.
04:20All right.
04:21I actually said, why don't Gu and I switch for the day?
04:23You and Mark, you can butter him up for four hours.
04:26Let's go.
04:27And I can butter Stine's bread from ten to two.
04:28That's the reason bothers.
04:30Yes.
04:31And how did the boss take that?
04:32Great idea.
04:33I'll look into it.
04:34But we used to do the switcher.
04:35I'll look into it.
04:36I'll look into it is exactly the same as I'll try to stop by.
04:40Yeah.
04:41That's the same statement.
04:42Or our alleged outing that just died on the vine.
04:46What happened to that?
04:47That'll happen.
04:48You chimed in.
04:49I chimed in.
04:50And then crickets.
04:51Getting six people with different schedules and kids and lives.
04:53Believe me.
04:54Don't you have tons of friends in life where you're texting for like a year and a half
04:59trying to get them all $10,000?
05:01No, I got you.
05:02You know what I mean?
05:03It's tough.
05:04By the time I got home and asked about the schedule, it was already like,
05:07don't worry about it because two people can't go already.
05:10I get it.
05:11We're looking for another date.
05:12And, you know, as far as the, who is the freest of the six?
05:16Stiney probably the freest because he's an empty nester and he's got, you know,
05:20some social wiggle room.
05:21You live far away.
05:23He's got five jobs.
05:24I've got a toddler.
05:25I got you.
05:26Spadoni's got two.
05:27Yeah.
05:28I get it.
05:29Butcher's got a two year old.
05:30No doubt.
05:31The premise is wonderful, but the logistics of it, and it's really eight people because
05:36the director of outings has to be there.
05:38Sure.
05:39As does Look Look Look himself.
05:40And I'm sure Evan and Grandy too, and Lubman, so now you're looking at 11.
05:44You know how you guys named your bar last week?
05:46Yeah.
05:47Dibbs, you just named my bar.
05:48I missed that.
05:49Uh oh.
05:50Social Wiggle Room.
05:51Not bad.
05:52That's the name of my bar.
05:53That is not.
05:54You've got to have a good dance kiss in his butt.
05:55I've got to make sure.
05:56Social Wiggle Room.
05:57That kiss is hot.
05:58Do it.
05:59Do it.
06:00Social Wiggle Room is sick.
06:01I like that.
06:02You do have some social wiggle room over there.
06:03That's what that grin is right now.
06:04And what did you land on for the name of the Haters Palisade?
06:08That was a great bid.
06:09That was a great bid.
06:10You know, haters just get to roll in and hate on the local teams.
06:14You mean the names of the bars?
06:15No.
06:16Yeah.
06:17What did you decide was the best of the names?
06:18Something opposition, right?
06:19Loyal opposition.
06:20Loyal opposition.
06:21But there were a couple really good ones.
06:23That was great, man.
06:24They told me about that.
06:25They told me about that.
06:26Whiners Alley or something like that.
06:29I was thinking maybe just go with Lasordas.
06:32Pretty good.
06:33Is he the most hated of all time?
06:35My partner would say so.
06:36That's, I mean, Mark's number one.
06:38Why don't you get on him for that?
06:39I wish Melvin had some Lasorda in him.
06:42How about that?
06:43There you go.
06:44I think that stuff counts, man.
06:46Lasorda's a bad dude.
06:47That's a bad dude.
06:48Off the field?
06:49Yes.
06:50How many Dodgers are bad dudes to me?
06:53You want stories?
06:55You want stories?
06:56No.
06:57No, because I don't want to maintain what I think Lasorda meant and who he is.
07:01A better question is, is there a Dodger who isn't a bad guy?
07:04That would be a better story.
07:06Mookie Betts.
07:07Right.
07:08I like Mookie.
07:09Did you see the picture of, he was next to Otani and it said Otani Betts.
07:13He was right next to somebody captured the picture.
07:15Not bad.
07:16You know what I like most about Mookie is he sucks this year.
07:19That's the best part.
07:20Yeah.
07:21But anyway, I like Mookie.
07:22We got the George Jefferson going on up top too.
07:23I like Mookie.
07:24It's hard to not like, Freddie Freeman seems like a, right?
07:27That's a good story.
07:29So yeah, no, not all of them.
07:31Lasorda's a bad dude.
07:32But Otani's worse.
07:33Well, Otani, this is, it's sort of like inferred now.
07:36I've never been around Shohei Otani.
07:38I've been around, I was around Tommy Lasorda.
07:40But even his contract wheel was gangster.
07:42That was like, how did that happen?
07:44But whatever, like I'm not gonna, you know what I mean?
07:47Like if that's your free agent deal and that's what you want to do and someone offers it to you, great.
07:51This is not Haterade and it has nothing to do with his uniform.
07:54My statement is based on one thing and one thing only.
07:57I think it's hilarious that America bought the story.
08:00Wow.
08:01It's hysterical to me that people bought the most ridiculous, unbelievable, undoable, unfathomable story of all time.
08:11That 25 million just gets wired out of your account and you never got a text.
08:17Stupidest story I've ever heard in the history of sports.
08:22And everyone went just, wow, that translator really went sideways, didn't he?
08:27Like, it's absurd.
08:28No, he's funny now.
08:29Now he's making a lot of sense, isn't he?
08:32Because Otani wasn't here this morning.
08:34Otani's free.
08:35But this real estate stuff, we don't know what popped off.
08:39But for the haters like yourself and Chaski, because you recognize his talent.
08:44Chaski did that this morning.
08:45Of course, of course.
08:46But it's like he's a free man.
08:48You know?
08:49No, this was just like a brick on the wall.
08:51Like, oh, okay.
08:52They fly.
08:53Yeah.
08:54That's all.
08:55That's all.
08:56So what about the, had you heard the comments from Michael Porter Jr.?
08:59Yeah.
09:00I think he got a lot of people in hot water.
09:02His brother's in trouble.
09:04And you just so casually or cavalierly say what he said.
09:08I'll just say this to that, and Stani and I had a difference of opinion.
09:11Dibs, if I was getting Michael Porter Jr. money, my Danas or Dibs, they would be with
09:16me like Braun and how he did it to where they wouldn't have to work again.
09:20Ask me for the money.
09:21Sure.
09:22But don't dare have me risk my freedom and my livelihood.
09:26Well, he was underwater.
09:27Be easily on line run.
09:28His brother was in debt to those people.
09:31Right.
09:32And so he wasn't making Michael Porter Jr. money.
09:34Okay.
09:35So maybe you go to your brother and say, hey, big bro, I'm in some trouble.
09:37Hello.
09:38What do you need?
09:39I need six large or whatever it is.
09:41And you get it from your brother, but it didn't go that way.
09:43And so I thought what he said, and we can debate whether or not he's the right messenger or not.
09:48I think he's the perfect messenger because his family got touched by it.
09:52And his brother got into trouble doing whatever he was doing.
09:56And he felt like that was his only way out.
09:58And I think that the message that he sent is real as far as this is not the only incident.
10:04I mean, we're talking about Shohei Ohtani.
10:06Whether or not he was involved or his translator taking the money to do it on his own.
10:11Whatever you believe.
10:12Of the idea that sports gambling is here to stay.
10:15And these things are going to continue to happen.
10:18I completely agree.
10:20What was the debate y'all had?
10:21I missed that part.
10:22I said that, so he said, you know, you want to make your friends some money, take the under on my points.
10:32Right, right.
10:33Which was hypothetical.
10:34Make them each 10,000.
10:35It was kind of hypothetical, but yeah.
10:36I just said, yeah, I said, I could see it.
10:39And I said, ask me.
10:41Ask me for the money.
10:42I could see it.
10:43And if you're my true friend, you wouldn't put me in that position to risk the biscuit and my freedom.
10:48But Dib's point is a good one, which was that he was trying to make money for his own debts also.
10:52Yeah.
10:53And he was not at a spot in the game where he's made, you know, bajillions of dollars yet or whatever.
10:58And so you and I were talking about this earlier.
11:01I kind of see it like back when steroids was really taking over baseball.
11:05I don't know how many people know this.
11:06It was way more prevalent in the minors than it was in the majors.
11:09Because people are just trying to get to the contract.
11:13Get the contract and then everything's going to be okay.
11:17You know, and there's a lot of examples of that.
11:19Who, you know, Melky Cabrera.
11:21Yeah.
11:22He got the deal.
11:23He got the deal.
11:24Yeah.
11:25And then you're out, but you're like, but I got the deal.
11:26I'm on.
11:27Right?
11:28So I get where he's coming from.
11:30And I don't know.
11:31When I read it, it was a little bit more of a cautionary tale to what I think is fact.
11:37Like we, I'm not against the idea of these leagues opening themselves up to gaming.
11:45I think it's making state debts go away.
11:47I'm not against it at all.
11:49But to think that another 25 years from now, it wouldn't be running the entire show.
11:57It could.
11:58You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ-FM and HD1 San Francisco and Odyssey Sports Station.
12:03Always live on the free Odyssey app and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
12:07Yeah.
12:08Evan brought up Kase from Cleveland.
12:10He was throwing the first pitch as a ball.
12:12Not a big impact on the game.
12:14I didn't even know you could do that.
12:15But I'm like, damn, how did they catch that?
12:18Yeah.
12:19And it goes on in just about every sport where there is wagering.
12:23And even my beloved horse racing, you can watch some of the races and you see a jockey
12:29and he'll give that little tug down the stretch and he'll pull up on a horse and, you know,
12:34the jockey's asked after.
12:35He's like, well, you know, the other horse veered in and I thought this and I thought that.
12:38It's like, no, you're fixing the race.
12:40So it happens.
12:41And I'm trying to remember the first college basketball point shaving.
12:45We used to call it.
12:46But Arizona State had a big one.
12:48Yeah.
12:49There's one even like back when we were kids and it was like Montana was on that team.
12:52And now these stories pop all the time where, you know, it's a college couple college kids
12:57doing this and pro athletes doing that.
12:59These are the ones we hear of.
13:01Correct.
13:02Yeah.
13:03Which means there's got to be a hell of a lot more that we don't or they wouldn't do it.
13:06Right.
13:07I mean, as you're talking about now that there's what I call micro wagering where you can bet
13:13on a pitch, you can bet on a play.
13:15Exactly.
13:16In golf, you can bet on a hole.
13:17So you come up to a par three and a golfer could have told his guys before, hey, when
13:22we get to number seven today, bet the bogey.
13:25I'm putting this baby in the bunker.
13:27I'm going to hit it to 20 feet, lag it to a foot and a half.
13:30I'm going to make a bogey on seven.
13:31And he gets up there and he pulls it.
13:33Oh, he's in the sand, Jim.
13:35I said, you drew a bad lie.
13:38And so, yeah.
13:39I mean, those things are so easy to do and so hard to catch.
13:42It's so ridiculously easy to do with those right now.
13:46It's just...
13:47Although, you golfers, wouldn't you love to be able to mess up on purpose and it means
13:52you make a bogey?
13:53Yes.
13:54Wouldn't that be great?
13:55And P.S.
13:56If you ever bet on me, bet the bogey.
13:58Yeah, for example.
13:59Bet the bogey.
14:00Totally.
14:01Yep.
14:02So, like the over-under...
14:06Do they have over-under on field goal attempts in basketball?
14:10Anything.
14:11Yes.
14:12Of course.
14:13Anything.
14:14Yes.
14:15Anything.
14:16So...
14:17This is anything.
14:18Then it's a joke.
14:19I mean, then, I believe for everybody we're catching, there's probably 10 we're not.
14:25You ever think that this is a possibility?
14:29Because blend the legalization of all of this with what y'all are watching all of our
14:36teenagers do and then the fantasy numbers that are on a scroll.
14:41Man.
14:42How far are we from turning the actual game into the video game?
14:47How far are we from, I've got a gizmo in my hand with a bar on the right side of my screen
14:53that is offering me bets on every pitch and every play and at the push of a button,
14:59beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep,
15:00while you're sitting there on the couch.
15:02How far are we from that?
15:04I don't know why I feel like we're there.
15:06Yeah.
15:07I'm shocked that we're not.
15:08Like, five years ago, I go, that'll be a thing.
15:10And I still think that.
15:12It's just probably a matter of red tape and legalization.
15:15Like, I'll tell you a little story.
15:17Okay.
15:18Oh, it's story time with Stiney?
15:19Here we go.
15:20It's going to be very brief, but this is just, I can't believe how easy this is
15:24and how many people would probably do it.
15:27You know, I remember in college, my senior year, I struggled one night from the field.
15:33Look at Nahegan rolling his eyes.
15:35Okay, no, no, no.
15:36Just one night?
15:37I went 10 for 25 from the floor.
15:39Senior year?
15:40Oh, my God.
15:41Against whom?
15:42Good Lord.
15:43Passed the ball.
15:44Yeah.
15:45Muhlenberg.
15:46Oh, this is high school.
15:47No, this is college.
15:48There's a Muhlenberg college.
15:49And your senior year was not the best year at Franklin and Marshalls, I recall.
15:53No, it was.
15:54We had a great year, my senior year.
15:55I thought your junior year was a better year, but anyway.
15:57Junior year, we stuck.
15:58Anyway, Colby, back to the story.
15:59So, 25.
16:01And that's when my coach said the infamous words to me, do you think we can win when
16:06you take 25 shots?
16:10And I said, yes.
16:11And he goes, do you think we can win when you take 25 shots?
16:18And I said, yes.
16:19And he goes, I don't.
16:21I was like, okay.
16:23So, whatever.
16:24He got along.
16:25I'll tell you right now, if there was gambling in Division III, I would have told every single
16:31friend of mine, the next game against Swarthmore, take the under on my field goal attempts.
16:37You would have been in trouble if you got popped.
16:41Well, I don't know.
16:42That wasn't Division III underdog.
16:44I get you.
16:45I don't know.
16:46I went four for five.
16:47I went four for five from the floor the next night.
16:49And did you beat Swarthmore?
16:50We hammered them.
16:51They stunk.
16:52That's efficient.
16:53That's good efficiency.
16:54Good coaching.
16:55What I'm saying is, it's so easy.
16:57Right.
16:58It would be so easy to do.
16:59The problem is, and this is where so many people get caught, is there's a gigantic blip
17:05in the radar where, let's just say, let's play this out.
17:09The money on Stiney is usually at about a level two.
17:12Well, there you go.
17:13A popular kid.
17:14People like him.
17:15So the betting is about a level two.
17:16And then they're playing Swarthmore, and now the betting's at a nine.
17:19All of the regulators mount up.
17:22They're going to look at it and say, oh my god, we got five times the wagers?
17:27And he only shot five times?
17:29Something's rotten in Denmark.
17:30Wow, man.
17:31And that's where these guys get in trouble.
17:32And they check you again, and they check you again, and then when there's a trend,
17:36then they're saying you get suspended.
17:38He went right back to 22 shots a night after.
17:41Yeah.
17:42To switch it up, what did you make of TK's comments in The Standard about him hearing
17:46that they don't like that they just gave him a deal?
17:50But I feel like he's got all the leverage with, and I know you're a big Pearsall fan.
17:54I'm not saying I'm not, but is he ready to be?
17:57This is Jennings being the one to start the season.
18:00I don't see it that way, but I don't necessarily see things as okay if it's just Pearsall.
18:05And the closer we get to the season, I do think Jennings has some leverage.
18:10Okay, I thought.
18:11But so do the Niners.
18:13He doesn't want to miss games.
18:15He doesn't want to do that.
18:16That's not going to help him start missing checks and set that whole thing into a national story
18:23where now whoever this next team is sees you as kind of burnt toast.
18:27Do you think he's asking for too much?
18:29I don't know what he's asking for.
18:30The only thing Kawakami said was they're not close.
18:33Right.
18:34I know that he has a case for more money based on the way this works.
18:38Oh no, come on now.
18:39But I don't know, is he like, I went for 975 yards and those players make $24 million a year.
18:45And I'm making $7 million.
18:47So I'd like to triple my salary.
18:49Like if you're asking that, then no.
18:51If he wants like a, I don't know, a little $2 million bump or you want another year on the back end of this?
18:56I believe it's more than that, Diaz.
18:57I don't know.
18:58It's just what he wants is guaranteed money.
19:00And if the Niners and Juwan can come to a place where he gets $12 million guaranteed,
19:06but next year is not guaranteed, then it's an extra $5 million you got to pay him this year.
19:11And if he balls out again, well then you rip up the contract and you give him another deal.
19:15And if he doesn't, well then you cut him and you don't owe him anything.
19:18And that's, I think, where this gets resolved.
19:21Yesterday, David Lombardi, also of the San Francisco Standard, came on and he said August 26th is the day.
19:27Yeah.
19:28Cut down day.
19:29Yeah.
19:30So it's a little bit like the Kaminga dance.
19:32We're dancing to October 1st.
19:34This one's going to resolve August 26th at the latest, I think.
19:37But remember when you went on your honeymoon and you asked me to get all these things buttoned up?
19:42Yeah, fix the Kaminga crap while I'm gone, please.
19:44Fix the Jordan Jennings.
19:45Great job on that.
19:46Yeah.
19:47You are coming down my road.
19:48A Kaminga dance.
19:49A lot of fun dance.
19:51So, if I'm correct, Nick Bosa's got an opt-out after next year?
19:57That sounds about right.
19:59Or something happens.
20:01Why do you bring him up?
20:03He's holding out, right?
20:05Nick Bosa?
20:06Next year.
20:08If that's the case.
20:09Well, we'd have to see if he is.
20:11Well, I did.
20:12No, how bad he is this year, meaning good, then he would have that leverage.
20:17But if he's another stink bomb, I wouldn't foresee that.
20:21I don't know that he's got an opt-out.
20:23Are you seeing the, quote, potential out?
20:26Yeah.
20:27That's from the team standpoint.
20:29Okay.
20:30That's a team thing.
20:31I don't think Nick Bosa has an opt-out.
20:32But, you know, my question is, I think a lot of what they're doing right now with Juwan
20:39or anyone else not going to sign Amari Cooper or Gabe Davis has to do with the fact that
20:45there are some cap challenges that are ahead.
20:49And so they're trying to, they are pinching a little bit.
20:52But everybody's gotten paid.
20:54And he would be the first to kind of...
20:56Well, Mooney Ward didn't get paid, which is why he left.
20:59You are right.
21:00Aaron Banks got the bag elsewhere.
21:01Drake Greenlaw got the bag elsewhere.
21:03And the Niners reportedly flew out and tried to bag him back.
21:06And he said, nah, I'm good.
21:08So not everybody gets paid here.
21:11But right now Juwan is the one guy who is kind of in an awkward spot.
21:15The thing about Bosa signings after next year, his cap hit for the following year, 2027,
21:20is $52 million.
21:22So if the Niners don't want him around, it's a $35 million cap hit to the team.
21:28If they do want him around, they got to restructure that.
21:31They don't want to pay him a cap hit of $52 million for one year.
21:35That's Purdy money.
21:37It is.
21:38Basically.
21:39Well, especially next year.
21:41Right.
21:42This year it's not.
21:43Purdy's making like nine this year, which, you know, that's why this year is so fascinating
21:48to me because you're going to rely on so many younger players.
21:51And Saturday becomes interesting.
21:53You're going to see more of the people I think you're going to actually see in September.
21:57They're going to have to play, right?
21:58I would hope.
21:59I would hope.
22:00I don't feel like they can be protected properly.
22:01So we'll see Pearsall in Vegas?
22:03I would hope you see Purdy.
22:05Oh.
22:06Yeah.
22:07If he's not going to play this week, then when are you going to play?
22:10I've just been one of them dudes.
22:11My quarterback ain't playing preseason.
22:13Really?
22:14Yeah.
22:15Unless it's Dak.
22:16No, no, I'm serious.
22:17You'd like to get him hurt.
22:18Does it matter to you that Purdy said he absolutely wants to play and does not feel like
22:22he's totally adequately prepared if he doesn't?
22:25Does that matter?
22:26No, I like hearing that.
22:27I mean, yeah.
22:28Like, that's what he said.
22:30And the Purdy stands, like my partner Mark Willard, they need him to play and play well
22:35because there's a couple national voices who've been coming down my partner's road.
22:39Oh.
22:40Oh.
22:41Not real.
22:42It's not that.
22:43They refer to you, not by name.
22:45Exactly.
22:46What did they say, Will?
22:47See, this is how you tease.
22:48I got these guys on the edge of the seat.
22:49You do, actually.
22:50Come up in two hours, we'll actually pay it off.
22:52Exactly.
22:53Yeah.
22:54Enjoy your ride home.
22:55That's fine.
22:56You know what?
22:57Two hours?
22:58No, it's going to be about ten minutes.
22:59I'll play accordingly.
23:00Yeah.
23:01I think we're going to get to it right away, aren't we, partner?
23:03That's the plan.
23:04Before you put on your...
23:05Only if Stiney kisses my ass on the way out the door.
23:08I just want to know who called you out from the national media.
23:11Hmm?
23:12Stephen A.
23:13Hmm?
23:14I do think it's week we've got to wait, dude.
23:15Hey, look us up.
23:16Stephen A on Brock Purdy?
23:17Mark Purdy?
23:18No, it's his partner.
23:19Stiney will awkwardly depart.
23:20Mark and I will exchange pleasantries and we're going to get right to it.
23:23And then he's going to change into his dark suit.
23:26I'm going to get my tissue ready because we've got some sadness coming today.
23:30Oh, man.
23:31I think I know what it is.
23:32Yeah.
23:33Alright.
23:34Well, pins and needles.
23:35Yes, sir.
23:36Oh!
23:37Oh!
23:38Oh!
23:39He's got to be.
23:40Is that Sam Kennison right there?
23:41Oh!
23:42I'm scared of Willard.
23:43We are about to unveil the most unbelievable team insider that sports radio in the Bay has
23:52ever known.
23:53He will be on...
23:54That's two teases!
23:55I know!
23:56He will be on Wynn!
23:58315.
23:59315.
24:00And one more.
24:01Can I just guess the initials?
24:02Yes.
24:03GL?
24:04No, but I like where you're going with that.
24:07What's that?
24:08I missed that one.
24:09It's not GL.
24:10Okay.
24:11It's not GL.
24:12Also, today we're going to debut a new game that you're going to love.
24:15Maybe I'll bring it to a crossover soon because it's the kind of thing, Stiney, that you absolutely
24:19love.
24:20Trivia, man.
24:21Just games.
24:22He likes games.
24:23I'm going to just stick around here today.
24:24Yeah!
24:25Just to listen.
24:26Welcome to.
24:27I might not, though.
24:28I'm going to make that decision in about two minutes.
24:30I'll take the latter.
24:31And I'm going to make it outside the studios of 95.7 The Game.
24:35Number one and eight.
24:36That's a lie.
24:37Shut the hell up!
24:38Shut the hell up!
