Oregon ducks Long Snapper Luke Basso discusses what he has picked up from quarterback Dante Moore

00:00What's your highlight reel look like at the end of your career?

00:06Like, you put something together, like, is it all just a bunch of snaps?

00:12I got to put one together.

00:13I have a few tackles in my career, nothing crazy.

00:16I think like a leg tackle here and there, some wild stuff.

00:19But at the end of my career, I'll have to get a little highlight tape with a bunch of fake two-point conversions from the past games.

00:25So we'll see what I can put together.

00:27How happy were you after that tackle?

00:29It was awesome.

00:29I was very happy.

00:30You know, you don't get to see that very often from a snapper.

00:32So to just have a one tackle in the stat sheet just means everything.

00:35Did you look at the sheet when you came out here?

00:38Did you know you were going to be, I mean, they kind of did you dirty.

00:41I don't think you were with the quarterbacks last year, were you?

00:45Uh-uh.

00:46Nope.

00:47Like, you view that as like, did I do something wrong?

00:50No, no.

00:51It's disrespect.

00:52Dante Moore over there, great quarterback.

00:54What have you picked up from him, you know, just in the year and a half he's been with this team?

00:58And it's obviously kind of a unique situation with how he came in here.

01:01Yeah.

01:02But it seems like he's very decent at handling this aspect of it.

01:06He's just a great leader.

01:07Like, he's very selfless.

01:08He puts the team first.

01:09When we're out there for team run or team lift, like, he's the first one to speak.

01:13And I know our coaches and teammates rely heavily on him.

01:16It's just fun to have somebody like him in the forefront of the team.

01:20Because everybody around us wants to have a leader like that.

01:23And he's following the footsteps of Dylan Gabriel, Bo Nix, guys that have kind of paved the way for him to be the man that he is today.

01:29So I'm excited to see what he does.
