00:00Last week, it was Dante's execution of the two-minute drill.
00:08This time, it was the four-minute drill.
00:09What did you think of that drive and running out the clock
00:12with as little time as possible?
00:14Yeah, the thing is positive.
00:15You know, I thought that as it got down there at the end,
00:18we got a first down.
00:18I thought the clock should have stopped, right,
00:20and then wound on the ready for play.
00:23But to be able to score, our goal is always to make sure
00:25we don't give the opponent the ball back, you know,
00:27in what we call the sweet spot, right,
00:29that two minutes to a minute 20, right,
00:31that's when you have the best chance of scoring.
00:33So to be able to give the ball back with less than 11 seconds left is a win.
00:38That fake counter-reverse that De'Aire scored his touchdown
00:40was something you pulled out last year against Oregon State,
00:43but this time putting De'Aire out at receiver,
00:46De'Corean lined up in the backfield.
00:47What does that speak to, just Coach Stein's creativity as a play caller?
00:50Yeah, our offensive staff does an unbelievable job each week.
00:54Those guys, those aren't really special plays for us.
00:56Those are, like, core plays that we feel like we're going to have
00:58a lot of success running, and Coach, you know,
01:00Coach has a great feel for when to call those.
01:02Right here on the left.
01:04Coach, you mentioned, like, Dante had a good game,
01:06and he's, you know, it looked like he took another step forward this week.
01:09Can you just talk about the progress he's made just from, you know,
01:12watching last season to his first game starting last week to now?
01:15Yeah, I think he's just maturing really quick,
01:18and this guy has a great understanding of our offense.
01:21There's moments in the game where we're about to go out and run a play,
01:25and he's saying, hey, I feel really comfortable about this.
01:27And then when you have that level of trust as a coach and a player,
01:29like, hey, this is what you want to run?
01:31Okay, let's go run it.
01:33That's big.
