As members of the Opposition continue to lobby for CEPEP and URP workers to get their jobs back, President of the T&T Scrap Iron Dealers Allan Ferguson views these calls as hypocritical.

He is making the statement against the backdrop of what he says the People's National Movement did with the scrap metal industry.

So you have to understand, you have to understand is that them now fighting for CPEP and URP, when them banned the industry, there are 25,000 people employed all over Trinidad.
00:19You could go see him buying his papaya, thousands of people working, van collectors, container people, workers, administration, I mean, all the port and we're talking about, so much of people employing this industry and they would have shut it down and now they're fighting and feeling fighting, beating up the chest, fighting for CPEP.
00:42Man, there are super people fighting for themselves, man, and always stay silent because when they ask me this question, I go tell all the truth, because me and fear none of them, because the truth is bad.
