00:00The issues are you don't get healthier during the season as an older player.
00:05If you're basically taking an epidural to get ready for the season,
00:08I think that is ready to go for us here, Joe.
00:10So let's take a listen.
00:11You know, like we've said, we're going to be flexible and fluid.
00:14I think more than anything, I feel for Matthew
00:16because of how much he wants to be out there and feel good.
00:20Ultimately, what ended up happening, had a great workout, felt good.
00:23But then, you know, coming today, it doesn't feel great.
00:25And so didn't think that was the right decision to be able to push him.
00:28We've kind of always talked about flexibility, being fluid with some of the plans.
00:33And I think more than anything, you know, I feel for a guy that, you know,
00:37I really care about that wants to be out there more than anything else.
00:40We're going to be smart, you know, but he didn't feel good enough.
00:43And we didn't think it was the right thing to do based on, you know,
00:46how he woke up feeling today.
00:49Sounds troublesome, Joe.
00:50You heard what he just said there, had a good workout,
00:52but then didn't feel good the next day.
00:54What's going to happen when he's out there throwing 45 times a game
00:57with absolute stud pass rushers pancaking him in the pocket here?
01:01I don't like what I hear at L.A.
01:05Well, you know, what he didn't offer up in that, Donnie,
01:08in that press conference was any sort of new hard timeline
01:12for when they expect him to return.
01:15I mean, he had been, they had labeled him, what, week to week earlier in training camp.
01:21But now apparently they're saying they're just going to evaluate him
01:24on a day-to-day basis.
01:27Like, what are we looking at here?
01:29Like, what is the timeline for you to be able to get him ready?
01:32Because none of what he just said leads me to believe
01:35there's any sort of confidence in there being a timeline
01:38that he's on his way back in any way, shape, or form.
01:41So, we'll see you next time.
