00:00I think that we need to stop local communities from bearing the brunt of this.
00:04The people who I spoke to are having a lot of concerns about safety.
00:09Mothers told me that they're worried about their daughters going to school,
00:12they're getting harassed, they've stopped jogging in the park
00:15because there are men lurking in bushes.
00:16Communities shouldn't have to be paying for this.
00:19And what I saw in Epping really, really upset me.
00:22I could see why many of those people are protesting.
00:24We need to process people in detention centres,
00:27we need to build proper camps where we keep people safe,
00:31whether they are migrants or the local communities.
00:34But just having people who can stay in a hotel,
00:36go out and come as they please, whether or not they're criminals,
00:39we have no idea who these people are.
00:40I don't think that that's right, and it's gone on long enough.
