00:38:16The idea is to pound your opponent down to get control of the ladder, bring it in the ring, get the taser.
00:38:23And if you joined us for sold out, you know you can win the match once you grab the taser or the stun stick.
00:38:30And once you zap your opponent with it, you are officially the winner of the match.
00:38:35You zap somebody with that stun stick and you're gonna win the match regardless.
00:38:39That's right.
00:38:40You don't have to worry about a pinball.
00:38:41That's an afterthought.
00:38:42And that's not even part of the equation here.
00:38:44Bigelow just answered the infamous Scott Hall toothpick with a big right hand that leveled him.

00:41:28He realizes how many members of the Wolfpack are here.
00:41:31And he went out while they were having a meeting and made this challenge to Scott Hall.
00:41:36He does not care about the numbers.
00:41:38Bigelow just came roaring out of the corner and bolt Scott Hall over with the ladder.
00:41:45Bigelow's got weight, he's got balance, he knows how to use his weight.
00:41:50He's got more body to absorb the shock of that ladder than Scott Hall does.
00:41:55That probably counters the experience factor that Scott Hall has in this match.
00:41:59He called himself the king of ladder matches earlier.
00:42:01Oh, Scott Hall will call himself anything.
00:42:03We do know he's been involved in a lot of high-profile ladder matches through the years, Larry.
00:42:08Into the midsection, here comes Bam Bam Bigelow now.
00:42:11I think it makes him more of a court jester.

00:42:22Almost like a teeter-totter effect that time, with both men taking the ladder, I think, in the head and in the face.
00:42:28That ladder is so punishing.
00:42:35That aluminum ladder, that thing, very sharp edges on it, very tough, rugged ridges that can scar and abrase a body.
00:42:44And it's what makes it so tough is you've got to really render your opponent incapable of defending your move up the ladder to get the taser.
00:43:00I tell you, anything that's harder than bone is an effective weapon.
00:43:05And so far, Scott Hall's pulling ahead on points here.
00:43:09And we've got to pull out for a commercial message.

00:47:37It's gonna be hard to get that taser thing, whatever it is, climbing up that wobbly ladder.

00:48:31Again, Bigelow, it took him a long time to get up there.
00:48:33That thing is too wide.
00:48:34It's not stable.
00:48:35Scott Hall checks his side, which obviously has been damaged here during this match, and positions the ladder once again.

00:48:53Tries to steady the ladder as Bigelow tries to pull himself up to thwart the efforts by Scott Hall.

00:52:09Tony, with the announcement earlier on from President Ric Flair of World Championship Wrestling,
00:52:15I've set up camp back in the locker room area with this man, Bret the Hitman Hart.
00:52:20And as you heard earlier on, the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, as president of WCW,
00:52:26announcing a mandatory United States title defense for Bret the Hitman Hart.
00:52:32That's coming up on February the 21st at Super Bowl.
00:52:35Tonight, however, in a non-title bout, you've got Booker T.
00:52:38You've got a full plate here, I must say.
00:52:40You know, I don't know what Ric Flair's problem is, you know.
00:52:43You know, I've always been a jam-up guy, I've always been, I've always been a guy that's never ducked anything, anybody, anytime, anywhere.
00:52:50Now, Ric Flair, you know, this is a case of a guy that's carrying around a grudge.
00:52:55He's had a grudge against me since I've come here, and, you know, that's fine.
00:52:59He wants to throw me in a ring tonight with Booker T.

00:53:03Who is this guy to even have a match with me, let alone a non-title match, because he's a loser.

00:56:33They will surround the ring to keep out the NWO, to prevent the NWO from stopping the tournament
00:56:41for the World Tag Team Championships.
00:56:45The president of World Championship Wrestling, Ric Flair, said we are going to return Tag Team Wrestling to prominence in WCW.
00:56:53NWO members, especially Hall and Nash, very outspoken that that's not going to take place.
00:56:58But now Flair is bringing a human wall of wrestlers to surround the ring to prevent any NWO interference.
00:57:06This is going to be a Tag Tournament matchup.
00:57:09Isn't it amazing that the New World Order doesn't like Tag Team because they can take the belts away.
00:57:15Bret Hart doesn't want to get Booker T's job because Booker T can beat Bret Hart.
00:57:20They've always got a cop on the New World Order.
00:57:24Yeah, here's what the New World Order did last week on Monday Nitro.
00:57:28There's too many of them now.
00:57:30Scott Hall came out with the Taser, ladies and gentlemen.
00:57:33And they, during the Tag Team Tournament match that we had, dismantled everything.
00:57:39Ric Flair came in on Thursday and then said, we're gonna restart the tournament.
00:57:43We're gonna make it a double elimination tournament.
00:57:45And we're gonna make, do everything we can to keep out the NWO.
00:57:49Amazingly enough, there you see Kurt Hennig in there with the NWO.
00:57:53And then earlier in this telecast, the New World Order pushed him on the outside as well.
00:57:58Yeah, what was with that?

00:58:01Looks like there was a roster change in the NWO.
00:58:04Cutting a little fat to quote Kevin Nash and Scott Hall.

00:58:36Instead of throwing them in, they throw them out.

00:58:41And Jimmy Hart will bring in the duo of what he now calls his first family of the Barbarian & Ming,
00:58:50against the team of Fitz Finley and Dave Taylor.
00:58:54This should be a good matchup.

01:00:19Well, I tell you, Barbarian and Ming
01:00:20got the size and the power advantage,
01:00:22but Finley and Taylor, they got the science advantage.

01:00:26One thing that is against them, however,
01:00:28is Jimmy Hart.
01:00:30Jimmy Hart is very, very wise,
01:00:32knows how to handle Ming and the Barbarian here.

01:00:42he's going to be adding new members
01:00:43to his first family of professional wrestling.

01:01:36And he grabbed his hand, he tagged,
01:01:37and he's standing with a double-team.
01:01:38He's got to take almost two men to tag Ming down.
01:01:41Dave Taylor airborne that time
01:01:43with a flying head scissors,
01:01:44and he got the big head over.
01:01:46He's hitting him in the upper body,
01:01:47that was a waste of time,
01:01:49means to fix.
01:01:50Well, Dave Taylor's tough, though.
01:01:51He's the type of wrestler that will use the science.
01:01:54He'll use the mechanics, the fundamental wrestling,
01:01:57to try to take these monsters down.
01:01:59Yeah, but he didn't do that.
01:02:00He was going against him,
01:02:01hitting him in the upper body,
01:02:02and that's a big mistake, Taylor, Mark.
01:02:03And Dave Taylor was trying to fight fire with fire,
01:02:06and played right into the hands of Ming and the Barbarian.
01:02:08Also tonight, Goldberg will come back out,
01:02:12face Scott Norton of the NWO,
01:02:14in one of our feature rounds here tonight, live on TNT.
01:02:20Meanwhile, in the neutral corner, once again,
01:02:22a first round match in the tournament to crown New World Tag Team champs.
01:02:27Look at Dave Taylor, extra added leverage,
01:02:31just using the legs for added spring on a European uppercut,
01:02:34but had no effect on the Barbarian at all.
01:02:37Now, see, Barbarian is saying story,
01:02:40just too thick in the upper body, and Taylor went after it with those uppercuts.
01:02:45Should be going down to the knees, get these men on the mat, stop their movement,
01:02:49they're too big to go toe-to-toe.
01:02:51It's kind of, I don't know if I want to say ironic,
01:02:59or that we're not seeing the Wolfpack come out.
01:03:02It's very apparent when the odds are not in their favor,
01:03:06they're nowhere to be found.
01:03:07At least they haven't arrived as of yet, but we do know the Wolfpack,
01:03:14using their own terminology, they're in the house somewhere.
01:03:17They're in their own locker room.
01:03:19And WCW, many of the luchadores as well,
01:03:23out here to keep them at bay, to keep them away.
01:03:27And I would dare say, I would venture to say that there's a chance that all
01:03:31of these tournament matches are gonna have to take breaks like this.
01:03:35But whatever it takes to keep the new world out and make it fair and square.
01:03:41Yeah, to prevent that interference from the NWO members,
01:03:44we may need to institute that human wall in all of these tag team tournament matchups.
01:03:49Now Finley's trying to get in, but just didn't go around behind him even now.
01:03:56Get out of the corner.
01:03:57Tried to see a leg takedown, and Ming is going nowhere.
01:04:01Finley and I got, and Mare take over, Finley.

01:05:09It's kind of odd that Vince would bring a team into the tournament on a Thursday,
01:05:15win a first round match.
01:05:17Well, that's what we all thought.
01:05:18But then Hollywood Hogan earlier tonight said how proud they were of Vince.
01:05:22Once again, we looked at no sign of the Wolfpack.
01:05:28Obviously, Ric Flair's tactic seems to be working here.
01:05:32It's working quite well because we're getting a very competitive matchup.
01:05:36Yeah, and Taylor delayed too long with that suplex attempt.
01:05:39Ming just came in from blind sight of him.
01:05:42Ming and the Barbarian, one of their double-team maneuvers.
01:05:48Double headbutt.
01:05:51And only a one count and a save now.
01:05:55Finn Finley had come in to stop the count.
01:05:57Wait a minute, Jimmy Hart up on the ring apron.
01:05:59Hanra put his body on the line, and look what his men are doing.

01:06:13So it did work for the Nature Boy, Ric Flair, the president.
01:06:18The tactic worked keeping the Wolfpack out, enabling the Barbarian and Ming to win a first-round match in the tournament to decide new world tag team trips.
01:06:29I tell you, the tough tag team it is right there.
01:06:33It's over 600 plus pounds, controlled by a very, very smart man who will put his body on the line.
01:06:41Well, the NWO has a team, the NWO black and white, if you will, and they entered the team in the tournament on Thursday.
01:06:48And he ended up winning the tag.
