00:18:54They have incentive, because they know that if they advance in the ongoing World Tag Team Title Tournament, they know that they will get a shot at Paul and Nash.

00:19:07Speaking of incentive, I know more than one employee in this company that has incentive to go back there and try to dunk Eric Bischoff.
00:19:14And that would be the mildest thing many of the employees could think about.
00:19:18And I can tell you right now that we're gonna station a camera back there, and we're gonna go back there when their employees get their shots to Eric Bischoff.
00:19:27Well, why don't you go? You hate him.
00:19:29I've got a job to do right here, ladies and gentlemen.
00:19:32I will do it to the best of my ability as we go now with two of the horsemen, Benoit and the return of Dean Malenko.
00:19:39Well, this should be a great World Tag Title Tournament match.
00:19:43If you know, fans, it's double elimination, this Tag Team Tournament.
00:19:47But more importantly, if there was any more vivid scene than the control of Ric Flair,
00:19:53Ric Flair virtually control of the Wolfpack, it was last week when Flair was here on Monday Night Show in Dallas.
00:20:00And he made sure that the World Tag Team Tournament went on as planned.
00:20:04Got wrestlers to surround the ring and keep the Wolfpack out.
00:20:07Then on Thursday, Mike Tanay, it was the Wolfpack's turn with no Flair, no Horseman there to get the advantage.
00:20:14And they certainly took advantage of the fact that Ric Flair and the Horseman were not in the building last Thursday at Thunder.
00:20:19They've been saying from the outset, from the moment that Ric Flair announced that there was going to be a Tag Team Title Tournament
00:20:25to crown new World Tag Team Champions, Hall and Nash have said that the tournament is just not going to happen.
00:20:32And they made their point last Thursday on Thunder.
00:20:36So we wonder, we know, at least we saw the footage at the end of the segment earlier where the Wolfpack was at the airport and they picked up Vince and members of the Black and the White took their own limousine.
00:20:48So you know they're in the area, whether they are here in the building at this time or not remains to be seen.
00:20:54We still don't know, but obviously if they're here in Minnesota, they are with purpose coming to the arena.
00:21:00Well, a little drawing going on and Mickey J tries to get this thing started.
00:21:04And boy, four phenomenal athletes here going at it in this double elimination tournament to crown a new World Tag Team champ.
00:21:12Actually, you got four guys that could be qualified as the elite, some former members and the current members of the Four Horsemen here.
00:21:21And I tell you, they're all very, very good.
00:21:25It's Hennig.
00:21:27And the crippler Chris Benoit sends him in and Hennig runs over.
00:21:31Benoit with a great drop to a hole.
00:21:33Look at Chris Benoit go to the midsection.
00:21:35Benoit can go.
00:21:36He's got the greatest balance I've seen.
00:21:38Even better than Hennig here.
00:21:40He knows how to use it.
00:21:42But Malenko had a shot there to get him.
00:21:44He let it go.
00:21:45Quality of the athletes in this tag team match just shows you how important the WCW World Tag Team title is to all of the wrestlers in World Championship Wrestling.
00:21:56And Tony, you're right.
00:21:57We will decide it at Superbrawl with the finals of the tournament.
00:22:00On the leg, on the hip and on the knee down.
00:22:07And the side of the head.
00:22:09I tell you, let's see if Benoit and Malenko use the horsemen tradition of keeping the man in their corner and making a lot of tags.
00:22:18That's what you want to do in tag team wrestling.
00:22:20You want to keep it in the guidelines here.
00:22:22Christian grab him, drag him over, tag Malenko, and there you go.
00:22:29There you go.
00:22:30They're thinking horsemen.
00:22:31Dean Malenko, we saw him not too long ago, as a matter of fact, by the 4th of January.
00:22:38On the side of the head.

00:22:40He came into that event.
00:22:41I recall flipping away.
00:22:44Well, he looks pretty good right here, guys.
00:22:47Oh, and he runs into a foot here from Hennig.
00:22:49And this actually is Dean Malenko's return to the ring.
00:22:52He's been sidelined for about a month with a very severe sprained ankle.
00:22:56And he's back, and he looks to be close to 100%, at least in the early going.
00:23:00And he caught Wyndham sleeping.
00:23:02Wyndham goes down hard as Dean Malenko goes running at breakneck speed across the ring.
00:23:08Meanwhile, in the corner, the Horsemen are hammering on Kurt Hennig.
00:23:13They got him just where they want him.
00:23:15That's textbook Horsemen Tag Team Wrestling positioning and a lot of tags right there.
00:23:21Teamwork.
00:23:22One, two, and only a two count.
00:23:31They remember to the Horsemen the history of the Horsemen, the recent history as it relates to one.
00:23:37Kurt Hennig, a snap suplex and a cover.
00:23:40We've gotta take a commercial break.

00:23:46Back live on TNT, and as you can see, this is broken down into quite a brawl on the outside.
00:23:54All four men and Mickie J doing all he can to keep this match in the ring to try to keep a clear-cut winner or loser in this tag team tournament.
00:24:03Well, I tell you, they've kept really good control on Hennig.
00:24:05Hennig couldn't get away finally.
00:24:07A desperate effort to get out of the ring with Wyndham.
00:24:09And now you can see what happened.
00:24:11They got them both in trouble.
00:24:12Non-stop battle from the opening bell.
00:24:15Benoit goes for the cover, gets two.
00:24:17And Hennig is able to get the shoulder up.
00:24:19We talked about the incentive that Hennig and Wyndham have in this match.
00:24:22Think about Benoit and Malenko after all of the problems that Kurt Hennig and Barry Wyndham put the Horsemen and Ric Flair through over the course of the past couple of months.
00:24:30In the rubs, Hennig found the job, one, two, and Malenko cannot hold him down.
00:24:37More than a two count that time.
00:24:39Scott Dickinson once again.
00:24:41Remember how he showed up at ringside and walked away from Oakland a week ago when Oakland tried to cry into it, and he was very angry, and I can only imagine, still is, about what went down.
00:24:52Justifiably so with J.J. Dillon in the executive committee.
00:24:56Scott Dickinson was pointing the finger of blame at J.J. Dillon, claiming that he didn't have due process and that it was a bogus suspension.
00:25:03Must be using his frequent flyer miles to travel around.

00:25:11Hennig pulled a nice little side step on him.
00:25:14He got the tag in.

00:27:35But Benoit's got great endurance, and here's where it comes into play.
00:27:39He's gotta get enough energy back to make it to Malenko.
00:27:44And these guys are gonna trap him.
00:27:45They're gonna suffocate him in their corner.
00:27:48It takes great athletic ability to be able to come back after a punch like this.
00:27:53But it takes more than just that.
00:27:55It takes something down deep.
00:27:57It's a quick lacrosse base coming in.
00:27:59And it was too close to Windham, and Windham with a double axe handle under that.
00:28:04Immediately, Windham into the ring to break it up.
00:28:07The want, the drive, the desire of these athletes is phenomenal.
00:28:13And the elbow miss.
00:28:15There's Benoit.
00:28:16He even sees Malenko make the tag if he can.
00:28:19That may be the opening.
00:28:20He's gotta roll to the corner.
00:28:21Got a long way to go, much further than Hennig.
00:28:24One tag, two tags, here comes Malenko.
00:28:27Sending Windham both sides.
00:28:32He's on target.
00:28:33He nails Hennig, not a bad move at all.
