00:00We are addressing the country to read communique, rebuffing recent aggressive actions by the
00:21U.S. imperialists against our beloved republic.
00:26And we do this with the conviction that we all need to be united versus this aggression.
00:37And because, as I heard once say the former Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez, the
00:45Kirchner, you can always come back from everything, recover from everything except from ridicule.
00:53Some people are making a ridicule right now.
00:56Legislative power of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, National Assembly of Venezuela.
01:01The National Assembly of Venezuela of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is denouncing new attempts
01:07by U.S. imperialism to repeat all formulas of gross interference and useless to destabilize
01:18peace and prosperity in Venezuela.
01:23We rebuff absurd, desperate actions announced by the U.S. general attorney, which are, of
01:34course, illegal, which have nothing legal to and are just attempts against the constitutional
01:44president of the Bolivarian Republic of the Bolivarian Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, and against
01:49our rebellious and brave people.
01:52These operations only seek to give energy to extremist groups in the country to retake a violent
02:05path which has been defeated and continue to be defeated by our government and our people.
02:12Venezuela is today the most secure country with the economy that has grown the most.
02:23Perhaps what they do not forgive us for is our unwavering defense of sovereignty, independence,
02:31and peace for all our citizens.
02:38And it is precisely, President Nicolás Maduro, the guarantee and protector of this democracy
02:46shelters us in terms enshrined in our constitution.
02:55This parliament, elected legitimately in plural, is behind the constitutional president of Venezuela,
03:05Venezuela.
03:06We pledge our commitment to be with you in defending our homeland.
03:1525 years since we started this Bolivarian Revolution, we have overcome constant aggressions from
03:23the imperialists, imperialism.
03:26They have not succeeded and they will not be able to do that through sanctions and least
03:34of all through senseless threats to force the will of the Venezuelan people when they last
03:49election in July when we voted for mayors and councilors at municipal level.
04:11To those who promote hatred and chaos, we are telling you Venezuela is not surrendering.
04:18With the civic unity, with the military and police, we will defend our independence and our right
04:25to prosperity and justice, which will be quest to future generations.
04:31We demand respect for the Bolivarian people, to our constitution, to the will of millions of
04:37Venezuelans.
04:38No volverán.
04:39Nosotros venceremos.
04:40They will not return.
04:41We shall overcome.
04:42Thank you so much.
04:44We are live in Caracas, listening to the statements of the president of the National Assembly of the
04:51Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Rodriguez, who was addressing the people, addressing the
04:56Bolivarian government, addressing their woe, expressing their condemnation and rejections
05:00to all these operations, terrorist actions that have been planned to try to attack and harm
05:06the Venezuelan people and the Bolivarian revolution that we have been reporting in these recent days.
05:12The president of the National Assembly expressed their support of the deputies, their full support
05:16to the Bolivarian revolution and to the constitutional government of President Nicolas Maduro and their
05:20continued work for the prosperity and the well-being of the Venezuelan people.
