00:00Previously on Project Runway.
00:02Antonio, you're in.
00:04Casey, that means you're out.
00:06Ethan, as the winning designer,
00:08you're going to have an opportunity to swap.
00:10I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
00:14I'm happy Ethan let go Jesus
00:18because I don't need drama.
00:21Each house must create an activewear capsule collection.
00:24I'm going to tear it up.
00:26But what if your team doesn't?
00:28Ethan, I think you knew that you had a great look
00:30and you didn't give a about the other people on the team.
00:33Jesus, you were our favorite look. Congratulations.
00:36You shut me up.
00:38But I do have to tell you, Antonio,
00:40yours was our least favorite in the winning team.
00:43It sucks.
00:44Angelou, you really need to bring in a sense of drama.
00:48Step it up.
00:49I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
00:52I mean, this is unwearable.
00:54I love a corset.
00:55At the sauna.
00:56Guys, the story has to match.
00:58You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
01:03At stake for the winner is $200,000,
01:06a spread in Elle magazine,
01:08and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:11This is Project Runway.
01:13Angelo, Alex, and Vijay, you're all disappointed this week.
01:25I know that my work is better than the both of them,
01:29so they need to go home first before me.
01:32Vijay, you're safe. You can leave the runway.
01:37Oh, my God.
01:38Thank you for this action.
01:46Alex, your construction left a lot to be desired,
01:50and you missed the mark.
01:52I adore Angelo, but I have a lot more to offer.
01:56I don't want to go home.
01:58Angelo, in this competition, you have to remember that showmanship
02:03is just as important as craftsmanship.
02:08All I'm thinking is I need this for my daughter.
02:11I cannot go home this early.
02:13Alex, Angelo, one of you will be in,
02:18and one of you will be out.
02:22Angelo.
02:26You're in.
02:27You can leave the runway.
02:34Thank you, Gus.
02:36I'm sorry, Alex.
02:37That means you're out.
02:38Auf Wiedersehen.
02:40Auf Wiedersehen.
02:42It was lovely to meet all of you.
02:43Good luck.
02:45Well, it's not fun to be the second person going home.
02:49That's for sure.
02:52No, I deserve it.
02:53I really do.
02:54It's not.
02:55No.
02:56It's not a good example of my work at all.
02:58Is it going to be like this each week?
03:00this shit.
03:01Yeah.
03:02off.
03:05You know, I don't disagree with the feedback
03:07that the judges had.
03:08This is a incredible, fun experience
03:11that I've been able to have.
03:12Alex!
03:13Alex!
03:14Alex!
03:15Wow.
03:17What's next is we're going to go home.
03:19We're going to have a sauna.
03:23And life will continue on.
03:28You guys ready to get pushed a little harder?
03:30Yes.
03:31We're ready.
03:32I think until now,
03:33there really hasn't been any clear leaders
03:35in either challenge.
03:38So I think we're going to blow it up.
03:40Uh-oh.
03:41So Ethan and Jesus,
03:43for winning the first two challenges,
03:45each of you
03:47are going to become the leaders
03:49of your own house.
03:50Yes, sir!
03:52Versus!
03:53Ring it!
03:54Oh, my God!
03:55Ring it!
03:56Oh, my God!
03:57Oh, my God!
03:58Another team challenge.
03:59I don't want to be on either team.
04:01I just can't wait to work by myself
04:04without thinking about other people.
04:08You'll be picking your team shortly
04:10and choose wisely.
04:12I'm so excited.
04:14Good luck!
04:15See you soon!
04:17The tea is hot a.m.
04:20I always wanted to start my own house.
04:23This is insane.
04:25Such a twist.
04:26Honestly, I feel like it's going to be
04:28a tough competition
04:29because I know how talented Ethan is.
04:31Oh, the shape!
04:33It's going to be a battle.
04:37I'll make it look good!
04:41What is that?
04:43It's a group challenge.
04:46It's time to pick team,
04:48so things about to get spicy.
04:51I think I found my name.
04:52Oh, my God!
04:57Hello, designers!
04:58I'm sure you guys are wondering,
04:59what are these bags?
05:01Yes.
05:02Each of these bags are fabrics that,
05:04I would say, are considered...
05:07boring.
05:09So PNC Bank believes
05:11whether it's managing your money responsibly
05:13or sewing the same stitch for hours,
05:15actions that seem boring
05:17are essential to create brilliant results.
05:20So in these bags are basic fabrics and textiles.
05:24Seen on a bolt or a design table,
05:26they might be considered...
05:29But when slowly and thoughtfully designed and fabricated,
05:33something boring transforms into something beautiful.
05:37So the two houses will select from three mystery bags of boring
05:40to inspire brilliant looks on the runway.
05:43Ethan and Jesus,
05:44you have the power to choose your houses.
05:46My strategy is to pick designers that are great tailors.
05:50Definitely want my twin brother and my team
05:52because I know how good we work together,
05:54but I'm thinking Ethan, strategy-wise,
05:56might take him away from me.
05:58Jesus and Antonio love to be heard.
06:03I'm going to try to keep all of the firecracker energy
06:07out of my group.
06:08We're going to flip a button to decide who picks first.
06:11Good luck.
06:14It's Ethan.
06:15Oh, wow.
06:17All right.
06:18My first pick is Uchan.
06:23Thank you, baby.
06:24My first pick is going to be Antonio.
06:28Of course.
06:29Hello.
06:31Ethan, you're next.
06:32Joseph McRae.
06:34Madeline.
06:36Miss John.
06:37Thank you, thank you.
06:38BJ.
06:39I am shocked.
06:40Jesus picked me because we don't really get along.
06:43Oh, my God.
06:44Lord.
06:45Angelo.
06:47Baby.
06:49I've always been picked last.
06:50Melania.
06:51But it's fueling me.
06:53I've always been picked last.
06:55Melania.
06:56I've always been picked last.
06:58Melania.
06:59But it's fueling me.
07:01I've always been picked last.
07:03Melania.
07:04But it's fueling me to show I'm actually the special sauce.
07:09I got all the skills.
07:10You just don't know yet.
07:11Because Ethan got to pick first.
07:14It's only fair if Jesus picks first the bag of larynx.
07:18I was born with a pack of two, so I'm going to pick two.
07:22Okay.
07:23Let's see.
07:24Oh.
07:25Oh.
07:26This is your fabric.
07:29Fun.
07:30What do you think?
07:31I like it.
07:32It's a gray wall.
07:34We can make this fabric look really expensive.
07:37They can have it all day every day.
07:40That's ugly.
07:41There's barely any stretch on it.
07:43Keep it.
07:44We don't want it on this side.
07:45All right, Ethan.
07:46I'm going to choose number one.
07:48Okay.
07:49Let's see.
07:50Please be better.
07:51Please be better.
07:52Please be better.
07:53Looks like...
07:54Denim.
07:55Yeah.
07:56All right.
07:57Denim is so versatile.
07:59It is classic.
08:00It can be modern.
08:02We got the best material.
08:03So now that you have the foundations for this challenge, each house must create a capsule
08:09collection that shows that boring can be brilliant.
08:11This is about exploring volume, textures, and a bit of innovation.
08:15But anything here can be fresh, including a basic bag of boring.
08:20Hmm.
08:21And I have a special twist.
08:23My very dear friend Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
08:27Woo!
08:28Wow!
08:29Very good.
08:30So you guys better come up with something fabulous or she will never talk to me ever again.
08:35Oh, I can't wait.
08:36I want to win this challenge.
08:38I'm so ready.
08:39Last week, Heidi said that my look wasn't our favorite.
08:42I kind of want to redeem myself.
08:44We have Sofia Vergara, the princess of Colombia.
08:48This is Estrada, girl.
08:49This is what we love to dress.
08:51Let's do this.
08:52You guys will have until the end of tonight and three hours tomorrow to make these collections.
08:57Oh my God.
08:58Another one day challenge.
09:00Ah, this is Project Runway and it will never be easy.
09:03Good luck making boring brilliant.
09:06See you on the runway.
09:08Here we go.
09:13So I really wanted to have a name for the house.
09:16Okay.
09:17Catalina.
09:18Catalina is a very beautiful flower from Colombia.
09:21It comes from the family of the orchid.
09:24And considering Sofia Vergara is our guest judge, I was thinking playing with the structure
09:30to create volume and beautiful silhouettes, right?
09:35Do you know what the Catalina flower is?
09:37No, not really.
09:39But I can't get inspired if I don't know how it looks like.
09:42So yeah.
09:43Like this.
09:44And there's the orchids here.
09:45Like this.
09:46Like this.
09:47Beautiful structure like this.
09:49I'm not like a girly-girly designer.
09:52I'm more like modern and edgy and sexy.
09:55So okay.
09:56How can I modernize it?
09:58What is the Catalina aspect of your outfit?
10:03I don't know.
10:04I'm just asking because this is the inspiration, right?
10:06Yeah.
10:07So we have to defend like.
10:08Well, it's good to say it now.
10:09Yeah.
10:11Girl, I'm honestly getting a little annoyed because BJ is fighting me on the inspiration.
10:16Let's not forget that I'm the team leader.
10:19So just do what I say.
10:22Jesus has a very strong personality and so do I.
10:26So I'm afraid that we will clash.
10:33House of Jesus, are we all doing flowers?
10:36I think we should.
10:37Yeah.
10:38I think because of structure.
10:39Yeah.
10:40BJ?
10:41I'm not sure yet.
10:43BJ?
10:44I don't want yours to look like complete.
10:46Like it doesn't belong in the collection.
10:48BJ is very quiet and doesn't really share what she's designing.
10:52You know, she's like a silent killer.
10:53Like all of a sudden you're like, whoa, where'd that look come from?
10:56At the end of the day, one look can ruin your win.
10:59I kind of want to know what you're doing.
11:01So then that way we can like, maybe you have a good technique.
11:04Yeah.
11:05That we could use.
11:06You know what I mean?
11:07Okay.
11:08And share that with us.
11:09Yeah.
11:10Yes, we're going to help each other.
11:11No, I'm not going to share everything that I have in my mind.
11:14You have to be creative on your own.
11:16Hey.
11:17Welcome to team Ethan.
11:19Yeah.
11:20We have the house of Ethan.
11:22Or like I like to call it.
11:24Ho.
11:26Our overarching theme is showstoppers.
11:30Huh?
11:32Okay.
11:36Ethan.
11:37I think that we should prioritize using fringe.
11:41Fringe.
11:46Do we want to take a couple of minutes and just draw?
11:49Yeah, let's draw it.
11:50I love this friction pen.
11:53And luckily they're erasable.
11:56It's a life saver right now.
11:58Ethan.
11:59Okay.
12:00Ethan, so this is like the fringe idea concept.
12:02And then this is the ruffle.
12:03Yep.
12:04You have two really good ideas.
12:06We're going to dive into fringe.
12:07Okay.
12:08Yes.
12:09With the cool hat.
12:10Okay.
12:11You know, Ethan is the head of the house.
12:13So he kind of selects which design that he thinks each designer should do.
12:18We're going to do the flow with the swoopy swoopy.
12:21So I'm making a frayed denim gown with frayed accents and a frayed spiral headpiece.
12:30You have to do this hat.
12:31Yeah.
12:32It could be really beautiful.
12:33That's not my favorite look of the ones I sketch.
12:36But I'm trying to be a team player.
12:42Hello.
12:43Patricia.
12:44Hello.
12:47Wow.
12:48Are we feeling good?
12:49I don't see a lot done at all.
12:52We're just starting.
12:53I keep it fresh.
12:56So what are you doing?
12:57I wanted to do a powerful coat.
12:59This kind of like idea of the Catalina flower and moving it into the waist.
13:04Yeah.
13:05I mean this coat, if this is it, has to be perfect.
13:11So everybody was doing kind of a dress bodice type of thing.
13:14And I said, let me step out and do pants that's tailored.
13:17This is so dynamic as a pant.
13:19Oh my God.
13:20I know.
13:21I'm screaming.
13:22Groundbreaking.
13:23Honestly, I've never seen a pant more interesting in my entire career.
13:27I know how to rework a boring uniform into something cool since I have dyslexia.
13:34This is how my process works.
13:36Dyslexia switches the letters around.
13:38So I had to learn early to see disorganization or see confusion and make it make sense.
13:44So Christian, chill baby.
13:47I got this.
13:48Okay.
13:50So on the collection, I'm going to go at the end.
13:52This is the finale moment.
13:53The finale moment.
13:54I'm designing a beautiful mermaid gown incorporating the Catalina flower.
13:57I want to be on top.
13:58I want Law to tell me what he told my brother.
14:01You shut me up.
14:02You shut me up.
14:04You've got to make sure that this silhouette is just really interesting.
14:07Noted.
14:08BJ, you're making a pencil dress again.
14:11What happens on our hips?
14:13They open?
14:14Yes.
14:15Oh yeah.
14:16Yeah.
14:17So this is skin.
14:18Yes.
14:19Wow.
14:20Okay.
14:21I saw this fabric and was thinking like Goldman's sleeve and then an open back here.
14:25Mm-hmm.
14:26It's very chic and classic.
14:28Yeah.
14:29But I don't think it's that exciting.
14:31I'm going to do this most sick high-waisted pant and it's going to have a window.
14:40How is this standing up?
14:41I am a master of boning.
14:44Yeah.
14:45Boning is understructure that helps garments have shape to make them larger than life.
14:52If you can master boning, you can make any garment submissive to your whim.
14:58It's my first time to use boning to be honest.
15:00First time to use boning ever?
15:01Yep.
15:02Yep.
15:03Okay.
15:04This is my design.
15:05I was trying to make this dorm dress.
15:07So if it doesn't work.
15:08It won't work.
15:09He's going down.
15:10I'm just saying.
15:12What are you making?
15:13I got the pencil skirt that's going to go underneath and I'm playing with this shape.
15:17Is this your vibe?
15:19Switching it out.
15:20I don't want you to take on something that you really don't do and isn't your aesthetic.
15:25Yep.
15:26I agree with him.
15:27But at the same time, I wanted to stick to my ground and not create another pant.
15:31I feel like if I execute that, it's enough to make it to the next week.
15:35Okay, Joan.
15:36What is all that?
15:38Fringe?
15:39Fringe.
15:40Oh, God.
15:41I just think that's just not that interesting.
15:46Mm-hmm.
15:47It's been done literally 100 million thousand times.
15:50From Britney to Steven Tyler to every Project Runway designer that's ever been in this competition
15:55has done a frayed edge denim dress.
15:57Oh, no.
15:58Does it feel good, Mr. Christian?
16:03What are we supposed to do?
16:04Like take all of it off and put nothing on the runway?
16:06Like I don't have time or the bandwidth to pivot.
16:10So you've got to make it the best fringe seamed edge thing you've ever seen.
16:15You have a lot to do.
16:17Good luck.
16:18I'm shook.
16:19I'm shook.
16:20All right.
16:21Battle of the houses.
16:22It's truly a battle.
16:23I still think a lot needs to happen before these collections become brilliant.
16:28Don't forget that all the boring things are right, like the hems and the zippers.
16:33All the details need to be perfect.
16:35The judges are going to be watching.
16:37Okay.
16:38Get to work.
16:39Bye, everybody.
16:40Bye.
16:41Good night.
16:42Still standing by the fringe.
16:45So we have a battle.
16:48It's got to be interesting.
16:50Right.
16:51That did not go well at all.
16:55I am worried about the direction that we're going as a team.
16:59Showstoppers is not a theme.
17:02It's a vision, you know.
17:04And I just think this whole fringe thing was a last ditch effort to try to make it make sense.
17:11I am really concerned about this challenge.
17:14Come get some.
17:15Come get some.
17:16You know that you want to come get some.
17:17Rumi, what do you think of this edge on here?
17:18Utica was saying we add a fringe.
17:19Trust your instinct, Rumi.
17:20I'm trying to be a team player.
17:21Okay.
17:22I am really surprised about Ethan's choices.
17:23I think his goal is not to win the group challenge.
17:24I think his goal is to be the strongest.
17:25He loved my piece.
17:26So I'm in a good spot.
17:27But I want to make sure that y'all are in a good spot.
17:28Oh.
17:29Jesus, do you already know what the other team is working on?
17:30I don't know.
17:31I see a lot of volume and a lot of like...
17:32You know?
17:33I see a lot of volume and a lot of like...
17:34You know?
17:35I see a lot of volume and a lot of like...
17:36You know?
17:37I see a lot of volume and a lot of like...
17:38You know?
17:39I am extremely worried for the house of Ethan.
17:41They are all over the place.
17:42I really don't understand what Ethan is creating.
17:43Miss Jones is really confused.
17:44Yushin doing this dress that I know it really depends on.
17:48You know what the house of Ethan is creating.
17:49And I'm really worried about Ethan.
17:50He's really worried about Ethan's job,
17:51and I feel like this is a big challenge.
17:52He's a big challenge.
17:53I think his goal is to be the strongest.
17:55He loved my piece.
17:56So I'm in a good spot.
17:57But I want to make sure that y'all are in a good spot.
17:59What the other team is working on?
18:00I don't know.
18:01I see a lot of volume and a lot of like...
18:03You know?
18:04I am extremely worried for the House of Ethan.
18:06doing this dress that I know it was going to be impossible
18:10for him to finish it on a one-day challenge.
18:13Delania.
18:14Yeah?
18:15This is a concept that I had in mind for us
18:17to all incorporate the ruffer.
18:18Like, look at the color.
18:19The more circle.
18:21The more circle.
18:22Yeah, that's a cascade.
18:23Yeah, I see.
18:24At first, I wasn't sure how I was going to interpret
18:27the Catalina flower, but now I see it.
18:30I'm liking what everyone is working on,
18:32and we're really making boring brilliant.
18:36We came to win.
18:37Kristen!
18:38Hello.
18:39Who wants a model?
18:40You ready?
18:41What?
18:42I don't even have a dress to fit on her.
18:43Hello, ladies!
18:44Yes!
18:45Excited to work with you!
18:46Oh, me too!
18:47How are you?
18:48Sorry.
18:49I have nothing to fit on you right now.
18:51Wait.
18:52You have nothing to try on?
18:53Oh, no.
18:54What are you going to do?
18:56What if you cut this like you're going to,
18:58safety pin it down flat, and put it on her?
19:01Yeah.
19:02Right now.
19:03Okay.
19:04The clothes need a lot of, like, you know, headstitch,
19:07but Christian is saying I have to put it on the model anyway.
19:12Getting the structure to do this is going to be a little bit tough.
19:16It's not working.
19:17I feel very frustrated.
19:19It's going to take a lot of finesse.
19:22The nightmare is happening.
19:24I have to completely start over.
19:27We'll whip out something easy and something that's in your wheelhouse
19:30that isn't so elaborate.
19:32I really don't know.
19:34I really don't know.
19:35You can either you listen to me and I make it easier for you,
19:38or you continue to struggle with your piece.
19:41Pick a lane.
19:42This is it?
19:43It's just a pencil skirt?
19:44No, no, no, no.
19:45This is the bottom.
19:46It's four layers.
19:47You didn't make that in denim yet?
19:48I can't make it in denim because it's going to be too heavy.
19:51The outer layer is going to be done.
19:52What if you don't have time?
19:54Oh, Lord, Ethan, I'm worried.
19:57Yes, my team is struggle bussing.
20:01You guys, really?
20:03We don't have a lot of clothes to fit.
20:06So really, this is going to be it?
20:08Multiple people are just not going to fit things?
20:11Ethan, your team has no clothes.
20:13Yuchen couldn't even get his off the mannequin.
20:15He has no bottom at all.
20:18And that's a pencil skirt.
20:19And if that's happening, then good luck.
20:21You might as well just say goodbye.
20:24I really believe that the other group should feel worried
20:28because Christian is actually panicking.
20:30It's crazy.
20:31We'll see you on the runway.
20:37The showstopper aspect is my whole MO.
20:39And I am realizing in the thick of it
20:42that it's a real challenge for the team.
20:44Maybe this was a bad decision.
20:47And just come up with something new, something fresh
20:52that you know that you can whip out
20:54that has that wow factor.
20:56AJ, he started it again.
21:00I have six hours left.
21:02I have to make something else.
21:04I don't want to drag the team down because Ethan picked me first.
21:07I have to make it work.
21:09Show me what you're working with.
21:11Show me, show me.
21:14Wow, guys, it's runway day.
21:16It's runway day.
21:17Hey.
21:18Good morning, guys.
21:19She's a designer, a model, and a drag queen.
21:32Bitch.
21:34My team is struggling and it's like Utica's all the light, uplift,
21:38and truly that showstopper energy.
21:40So if there's anything that's going to get my team on track
21:44to be a showstopper, it's her.
21:46Woo!
21:47Yes!
21:48We thought you were the only models.
21:50Utica.
21:51Oh, my God.
21:55Perfect.
21:56I have to finish my top and my skirt and some hem off the cape.
22:00I'm so determined to finish my look.
22:02If I don't make this happen, I'll go home.
22:07Hello.
22:08Christian, meet Eureka.
22:09I see her.
22:10I wish that look was going on the runway.
22:12Other than some of these other ones.
22:14Ooh!
22:15No tea, no shade, no pink lemonade.
22:17All right, houses.
22:18It's the final stretch.
22:20Don't forget to send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:23Hola, hola.
22:24Bring out her natural features.
22:26I love the makeup.
22:27It's really chic.
22:28That is everything.
22:29I'm so excited.
22:30You delivered.
22:33She's going to have to open up one of your guards.
22:35No.
22:36Do it tight.
22:37It looks snatched.
22:38Trust me.
22:39Being picked last, I was just like, my team is overly scrutinizing my look.
22:44But fit is important.
22:45And even though I'm not as confident as the other designers, I'm feeling good about tailoring
22:50stuff because I'm a tailored type of girl.
22:52I just need to clean everything up.
22:54I'm telling you, this is perfect.
22:55Nervous?
22:56Do not change the zipper.
22:57Okay.
22:58Do it like that.
22:59What is this?
23:00I'm making a very sexy top and a very sexy, like, you know, skirt inside like Doja Cat.
23:05Uh-huh.
23:06So it's a whole new look.
23:07We're leaving this room in less than 10 minutes.
23:10So good.
23:11Yes.
23:12Oh my God.
23:13His suit.
23:14Yes.
23:15So I'm a little worried.
23:16Their collection is very good and very strong and very done.
23:20I'm definitely stressing.
23:22The law is going to cut you up.
23:24Oh Lord.
23:27Hello.
23:28Hi.
23:29Hi.
23:30Hello houses.
23:31And welcome to the runway.
23:32As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day you're out.
23:37Each house was asked to create a capsule collection, transforming something boring into something
23:47brilliant.
23:48Oh my God.
23:49I hope it is brilliant.
23:50We can't wait to see what you've made for the runway.
23:53All right.
23:54First, let's meet our judges.
23:55CFDA, award-winning stylist.
23:58And image architect, La Roche.
24:00Woo.
24:01Yeah.
24:02Guest judge, co-founder of the fashion line, favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:07Woo.
24:08Hi, Sarah.
24:09And actress, model and icon, Sophia Vergara.
24:14Woo.
24:15Woo.
24:16Woo.
24:17I love it.
24:18I missed you.
24:19Mwah.
24:20Mwah.
24:21Hi guys.
24:22Hi.
24:23You guys look wonderful.
24:24Not only is she my dear friend, but she will be wearing the winning look to an upcoming
24:29event.
24:30This is so exciting.
24:31Thank you very much for being our guest and I'm hoping that this is good.
24:35All right, let's start the show.
24:36I got that what you want.
24:37This is the outfit I want my brand to be in the world of.
24:49I am kind of loving the material though, even though it's boring.
24:53It looks like something that's from a different era, but it also looks like a little bit futuristic
24:58It looks like a little bit of a different way.
24:59This is hot.
25:00If you have the legs for it, this is amazing.
25:01You have them.
25:02No, I don't.
25:03You do.
25:04No, you do.
25:05I am so ecstatic.
25:06Those cutouts are on fire.
25:07It's a dangerous dress.
25:08She's sexy, but very mysterious and I really love it.
25:24Oh my God.
25:35I took very basic wool to something extraordinary.
25:39Wow.
25:40I love it.
25:41To the people who always choose me last, my skills are delicious and top tier.
25:47When I finish a garment, it fits the body like a glove.
25:52That looks expensive.
25:57My look looks expensive.
25:59Well-tailored, well-made.
26:00It's a fucker.
26:01I think it looks really cool on the runway with the dramatic color, the ruffle coming down.
26:06Sofia is smiling.
26:09What an honor to see Sofia.
26:11I can't stop looking at my design and I feel like I've done it again.
26:15See my full mermaid gown.
26:23I'm so proud of myself for really understanding this inspiration of the Catalina flower and the structure of it made it so beautiful.
26:30And looking at Sofia Vergara's face, smiling, like saying, wow, spectacular.
26:39I can see you wearing that one.
26:40Yeah.
26:41Like all of those.
26:42Never.
26:43I am so proud of my house.
26:45We made the collection that we were set up to design.
26:49Good luck, Ethan.
26:50This is a showstopper.
26:58It's grand.
26:59It has silhouette.
27:00It takes denim, makes it fun.
27:02The window works.
27:03My way, my way.
27:06I set out to create a grand moment.
27:09And I did that.
27:10How do you get inside the car?
27:12Well, you don't.
27:14I beat to my own drum.
27:16I do the unexpected.
27:18I wanted to be a team player.
27:20It has the frayed edges, almost like a little cape.
27:24That's just who I am as a designer.
27:26When I commit to something, I just go for it.
27:29I don't know what to think.
27:34There's a lot going on on this one.
27:42I'm really proud of my denim jacket.
27:44The overall look, the fit came out really good.
27:57Oh, I love that.
27:58My idea of a showstopper is simplicity and volume.
28:01So I could see her taking it onto a red carpet to be like a cool, but quirky, but still like that it girl.
28:07Or she just sort of like a stroll down the street.
28:10But listen, come on now.
28:11It's a moment, baby.
28:13To do that with denim, that's not easy.
28:15Yes, girl!
28:16When she opened that cape, that's the sexiest thing I've ever seen in my life.
28:25This look represents my resilience.
28:28It really shows how I can make something totally new in six hours.
28:32I'm going to see you on the next film when you go to Coachella.
28:35I'm going to see you on the next film when you go to Coachella.
28:40Yes, Teva!
28:41As frantic as it was, our individuality was really shown and we did the job of showstoppers and the whole collection, I think that it's cool.
28:50But if the judges don't like it, I could be on the chopping block.
28:54Okay, we scored your designs and one house was truly brilliant.
29:05The winning look will come from the winning house, while the eliminated designer will come from the losing house.
29:10House of Jesus, you were our favorite house!
29:21Wow, congrats, guys.
29:26Wow, wow, wow.
29:27It feels very empowering to be a leader and to have my house win, to be in the top three first week, to one second week, and then now third week again.
29:38Good job, Jesus.
29:40Okay, House of Utica, we're going to talk to you later.
29:42You can leave the runway.
29:45No, not the House of Ho being in the bottom.
29:49Damn!
29:50How could you put something this sickening in the bottom?
29:54Tell me, judges.
29:55Tell me.
29:57Wow.
29:58What a day.
30:00I'm not surprised we're in the bottom.
30:03I think we got carried away with Ethan's plan to create a showstopper piece.
30:07Definitely a little frustrating.
30:11Congratulations.
30:13I felt like you worked together.
30:15I was so impressed with the tailoring.
30:18So impressed.
30:20Spectacular.
30:21I mean, I could definitely wear many of those designs that you guys prepared this time.
30:26We want to talk to the three designers with our three favorite looks.
30:30Jesus.
30:32Jesus.
30:33Wow.
30:35Antonio.
30:39And Polonia.
30:40Congrats.
30:41Woo!
30:43So that means Madeline and BJ, you're safe.
30:47You can leave the runway.
30:48Thank you so much.
30:49Thank you so much.
30:53All right.
30:54Let's bring out your models.
30:57Hi.
30:58Oh, my God.
30:59This material is nothing boring at all.
31:02No.
31:03Amazing.
31:04It actually makes it elegant.
31:05The material makes it elegant.
31:06Yeah, expensive.
31:07Yeah.
31:08This is by far the best looks of the season so far.
31:11I can really see each and every one of you being a winner in this challenge.
31:15Yeah.
31:16Yeah.
31:17All right.
31:18Jesus, we're going to start with you first.
31:20Yes.
31:21I really am impressed.
31:22I mean, wool can go very wrong.
31:24That could look floppy and it looks impeccable.
31:27Like the way that you tailored this coat, that was risky.
31:31I mean, I usually can't wear things that have so much volume over here, but I think I could because it's open, low.
31:39It's amazing.
31:40It's spectacular.
31:41And I think this could look beautiful in any woman.
31:43Gracias.
31:44You did a really good job at taking a fabric that's considered as boring, but I think is absolutely sophisticated.
31:52Thank you so much.
31:53And you shut me up twice.
31:54Wow.
31:55Two runways in a row, so congratulations.
31:58Thank you, Jesus.
31:59Another one of our favorite looks came from Bolania.
32:03Oof.
32:04This thing falling down her neck.
32:07I've never seen anything like it in my life.
32:09It's a lot, but it's not.
32:11I think it was perfect for this material.
32:14It was perfect for the color.
32:16It was perfect for me.
32:18It feels timeless.
32:21I can see a superstar or a model of every era wearing this suit.
32:26Truly, I see it.
32:27Oh, I would definitely put Zendaya in this.
32:28Oh, yes.
32:29Without a doubt.
32:30It's super sexy.
32:31She can show her shoulders.
32:33All the pretty parts of a woman is showing.
32:35Just, ah.
32:36It's the peplum.
32:37Just like, almost like this race.
32:38It was, and the peplum.
32:40There are no notes.
32:43This felt like something I had never saw before, and I've seen so many clothes.
32:48But this, I will never forget.
32:50Ever.
32:51Please, you're going to make me cry right now.
32:53You should be very proud.
32:57So many long, long, long years, I was not seen, not recognized for my skills and abilities.
33:03So, getting praise for it feels really good.
33:05It definitely confirms and reaffirms why I'm here, and I feel seen.
33:12That leaves us with Antonio.
33:15It's gorgeous.
33:17I can also see Sofia wear this.
33:19Yeah.
33:20It's elegant.
33:21It's spectacular.
33:22Absolutely gorgeous.
33:23Thank you so much.
33:24But that being said, I just want to point out a couple things that I think could have made it a little better.
33:29Had you trimmed the petal that's coming down just a little bit, just to pull the snatch the waist in.
33:36All right, it's time to name the winner.
33:39The winning look truly wowed us by taking gray wool and bringing in structure, detail, and really a lot of elegance to bring brilliance out of boring.
33:50Oh, never boring.
33:52Well, Sofia, since you are going to be wearing the winning look, I'll give you the honor.
33:57I mean, I would wear all of them.
33:59But if I only had money for one, I would say Belania.
34:07Oh.
34:08Yay.
34:09Yay.
34:10No.
34:12Oh my gosh.
34:13Congratulations, Belania.
34:16I'm shocked.
34:17Literally, I'm like.
34:18That's how I feel.
34:19And Sofia Vergara is going to wear your look.
34:21Oh, yes.
34:22Work that body.
34:24House of Jesus.
34:25You can leave the runway.
34:26Bravo.
34:28Whoa.
34:29I've won a challenge on Project Runway.
34:34Yes.
34:35This part made me born like a baby.
34:37I was like, please y'all stop.
34:39Winning this challenge makes me feel like I'm getting closer to defining who I am as a designer.
34:49Finally, seeing a little bit of the vision and the light of what's been inside of me for so long.
34:55So, don't choose me last, y'all.
34:57Choose me first.
34:58And we can win together.
35:00All right.
35:01Let's talk to House of Ethan.
35:03Or should I say House of Utica?
35:06Yeah, I'm not surprised.
35:09I kind of had a feeling, you know, Ethan's leadership for this challenge was an epic fail.
35:16The direction that we were going as a team was all wrong.
35:21And here we are.
35:27All right.
35:28House of Utica, tell us about your collection.
35:31I come from the world of drag.
35:34So, I brought this idea to the team of creating showstoppers.
35:40To create a moment.
35:41To create big silhouettes.
35:43And I think we did a darn good job getting that aha.
35:47I understand that you wanted to have the wow.
35:49You know, we also want to be wowed.
35:51But I feel like you didn't keep in mind Sofia.
35:54Sofia will wear the winning look.
35:56So, it's kind of like, don't you have that in the back of your head?
35:59Yeah.
36:00Most importantly, we would like to bring out the three looks that we liked the least.
36:08Joseph, Yujin, you are safe.
36:12You can leave the runway.
36:13Thank you guys.
36:17Which means Joan, Angelo, and Utica.
36:22Unfortunately, you created our least favorite looks.
36:25All right, let's bring out your models.
36:31Okay, Angelo, let's talk about your design.
36:34There's just so much to look at.
36:36It's so busy in all the wrong places.
36:40I like the jacket.
36:41Does the jacket come off?
36:43Yeah.
36:44The jacket with the corset and the pants would have been...
36:47And the pants would have been a better look.
36:48...very wearable.
36:49Turn around, please.
36:51Everything looks so crooked.
36:53No.
36:54Angelo, thank you.
36:57All right, Joan.
36:59It's a very confusing design.
37:01Those pieces of denim are not beautiful to look at.
37:04You don't even want to touch them.
37:06It looks shredded.
37:07It looks like something bad happened to it.
37:10I mean, no doubt she would get worse dressed than that.
37:13That does not look luxe.
37:15Well, you know, I'm an evening wear designer.
37:18And this was the assignment.
37:20This is the direction we were given as a team.
37:23You know, and I'm trying to be a team player.
37:25Direction from who? Your leader?
37:26Yes.
37:29We submitted sketches.
37:30This is what was selected for me to design, so...
37:33And now you're in the bottom because you let somebody push you away from what your aesthetic is.
37:39There is a lot of pressure to create a vibe and guide a team to victory.
37:45It doesn't feel great, but my leadership could be the weakest link.
37:49I just, I'm confused why you guys felt like you had to push as far as you did.
37:54We decided to create things that are quintessentially us.
37:59But we did not keep you in mind.
38:02Now, that's what I'm all about.
38:03These big, beautiful, like...
38:05Which I love, but I feel like there is a time and a place.
38:08When I saw your look walk out, I was just like, the cervix is dilated and she's crowning.
38:15That is exactly what it is.
38:18That's what it is. It's true.
38:20I have a bottle opener at home that looks just like it for my beer.
38:24Plunk.
38:25Let's see the back, please.
38:27No, that's bad too.
38:29Oh.
38:31I think you let the drag persona take over this week.
38:36And I think you should have held her back because this is too over the top.
38:40It doesn't make sense.
38:41It's not beautiful.
38:42It's not flattering.
38:43I am actually really disappointed in you.
38:46I'm in shock actually that it's you.
38:50It's difficult being up here, being knocked down by the judges and my team.
38:55It does not feel good.
38:57I am really pissed off about this collection.
39:00I did not come to work and get this beautiful glam to look at a bunch of ugly clothes.
39:05I'm sorry.
39:06I am pissed off.
39:07I'm mad.
39:11Sorry.
39:13Okay.
39:14Utica.
39:15Joan.
39:16Mm-hmm.
39:17Angelo.
39:18We have to discuss what we've heard and sadly one of you will be out.
39:22You can leave the runway.
39:25Gee.
39:26That's terrible.
39:27And it really pissed me off.
39:28It's like a Project Runway denim costume party.
39:31Yes.
39:33You know, it doesn't feel good being on the bottom because it wasn't me designing truly from who I am and my design aesthetic and now being, you know, criticized for that.
39:44They thought it was the ugliest thing they've ever seen in their lives.
39:48But it's okay.
39:49What I don't like is that Ethan thought too much about himself.
39:53Yeah, exactly.
39:54Yeah.
39:55Because our eyes popped out of our heads when we saw Utica standing next to this look.
39:59I'm sorry.
40:00Ethan should have been here and not Utica tonight, babe.
40:02Right.
40:03I thought Angelo was the worst, to be quite honest.
40:05There was no real construction.
40:06He made a great jacket because he makes menswear.
40:09But the jacket was just okay.
40:12He plays safety, so he didn't make it as crazy.
40:15And that's why we were more drawn to say this one is better.
40:18But it wasn't.
40:19Better.
40:20It wasn't better.
40:21He's been here before.
40:22So we have to take that into account.
40:24I'm on the bottom again.
40:25It sucks because I didn't get a chance yet to really go full force and show my best ability.
40:32I'm not ready to go home.
40:34What about Joan?
40:35Joan.
40:36Joan, that dress.
40:37The less offensive.
40:38The less offensive out of the three.
40:40But no one would really wear that outfit.
40:43I am feeling very frustrated.
40:45My hands were tied.
40:47This is not what I wanted to do.
40:49I have so much more to show.
40:51I am not ready to go home.
40:53I'm just getting warmed up.
40:54For me, it boils down to, do we send home the person that took leadership in the bag collection?
41:03And made the worst look?
41:04Or send home the person that had the least amount of point of view and sewing talent.
41:13If we didn't know who did this and the designer was not standing next to the look, who would go?
41:19I think they can all go.
41:22Same.
41:23This would be a first for Project Runway, but maybe it's time we do it.
41:27Next time on Project Runway from Abbott Elementary, Chris Perfetti and Lisa Ann Walter.
41:34This is the unconventional materials challenge.
41:37A fight's breaking out.
41:38Fight!
41:39Hey, hey, hey, hey, what are you doing?
41:41Okay, she's Barbie, but the pink bitch done.
41:44I told you they're working together again.
41:46It's annoying.
41:47Oh, my God.
41:48Popsicle dress.
41:49Oh, it's something.
41:51I mean, the whole booty is out.
41:54It just looks so sad.
41:56It looks like dead vegetation.
41:58This is so up.
