00:00:00Hey here at Knark Hill this is our only Venice BSB round of the season that takes
00:00:04place north of the border so for the riders that means some extra special
00:00:09preparations
00:00:13I'm Rory Skinner Scott Redding here hi I'm Kyle Ride hi I'm Bradley Wright hey I'm
00:00:18Leon Haslam hi everyone I'm John McPhee and this is a lesson in Scottish slang
00:00:24first one is we Lee Johnston that's small small we basically mean small or
00:00:32little idiot is like idiot all right now we idiot got the idiot and it stupid
00:00:38must be silly Egypt stupid Egypt just means kind of idiot to be honest food
00:00:47scran is food food grant that's got to be food food scran scran just means food you
00:00:54know that was good scran that message message I guess messages I mean
00:01:01obviously that's just messages surely messages messages messages messages I
00:01:09don't know what messages I don't know that's quite a funny one that confuses a
00:01:13lot of people messages is shopping so if you're gonna go to the supermarket I'm
00:01:16gonna go and pick up the messages
00:01:19yep you're up to no idea what you up to maybe what you up to what you're doing I
00:01:26got a clue what you up to what's there what's going on
00:01:32what's going on you say go on yourself
00:01:39no I'm not sure not when I got to pass that go on yourself
00:01:44go on yourself go on yourself go on like get into it get stuck into it go on yourself we
00:01:51just need a new line line me your longer reach yeah
00:01:56no that is ready yep this one's long not a clue
00:01:59Lang lang me your limb wreck I'm not doing very good at this am I means live long and
00:02:05prosper bolt your rocket bolt your rocket just like get away is that like hold
00:02:13Hold your fire, or send it.
00:02:16Boat your rocket, I think we'll leave that to the viewer's imagination.
00:02:22As in, like, get lost.
00:02:24There you go, that's a lesson in Scottish flying.
00:02:26I actually learnt a few things there myself.
00:02:28Get that all the time when I'm cycling.
00:02:30Boat your rocket.
00:02:31Yeah, I got one.
00:02:32Got the last one, there you go.
00:02:34Oh, does it?
00:02:35Good job, I didn't say what I thought it was going to be.
00:02:38I should say a bit of a disclaimer here from the TNT sports team.
00:02:45For any Scottish viewers that were offended by that,
00:02:48those words were put together by our assistant producer,
00:02:51George from Clapham.
00:02:53They have not been independently verified.
00:02:55Daddy's got a Scottish family,
00:02:57and even you were raising your eyebrows at a few of those.
00:02:59Yeah, messages, that was a big question mark for me,
00:03:01so I might start using that.
00:03:03Yeah, well, if any complaints, direct them to George, basically.
00:03:06Yeah, right.
00:03:07One thing we do tend to get up here in Scotland, unfortunately,
00:03:09quite regularly at Knockill, is these conditions.
00:03:11You were wanting them 20 years ago.
00:03:1321 years ago, actually, James.
00:03:15A little while ago.
00:03:17But some things never change,
00:03:18and it's a big challenge for these guys now again this afternoon.
00:03:20Yeah, it is.
00:03:21Obviously, they had one earlier on.
00:03:23The conditions are probably better now than they were then,
00:03:25because it's just actually stopped.
00:03:26You know, it's not actually raining anymore.
00:03:28So, yeah, the guys know what to do.
00:03:30The big question is, can anyone stop Brad?
00:03:32Because, you know, he just looks incredible.
00:03:35They'll have all made some changes.
00:03:36They've got a whole race worth of data.
00:03:38So, yeah, it'll be interesting to see if anyone's managed to respond.
00:03:41One slight difference, of course, shaky,
00:03:43is that the grid for this race is made up on the lap times from race two,
00:03:46when it was also wet.
00:03:48So, we do have guys with wet pace closer to Brad this time.
00:03:51So, he might not quite get that start that he got there first time around.
00:03:55Certainly right, yeah.
00:03:56I mean, one of the things that you do see in these kind of conditions is there's people that have not so much to lose, you know,
00:04:02and they're willing to have a go.
00:04:03And there's people that are fighting for championships and, you know, you know,
00:04:06want to be consistent and want to stay on their bike and, you know,
00:04:09want to get to Brown's Edge and hopefully some sunshine to start racing again.
00:04:12But, as you said, you know, the lap times from that first race determine the grid positions from or for this second race.
00:04:17Bradley Ray still on pole, but all to do is Rory Skinner, for instance.
00:04:21Who else we got? Danny Kent, who was really fast earlier on on the front row.
00:04:24Fraser Rogers.
00:04:25There's a lot of fast guys in the wet that are now right at the front with Bradley.
00:04:28So, it'll be interesting to see if anyone can take it to him.
00:04:31Andy Irwin will be one to watch from the second row of the grid as well, Danny.
00:04:34But Danny Kent, in particular, showed real form right towards the end of that race.
00:04:39It'll give him a lot of confidence for the start of this one.
00:04:41Yeah, but what they've got to be careful of is Brad done that so well earlier.
00:04:45He got out in that race, you know, by turn two he was already on his limit, you know, and he pulled that gap.
00:04:49These guys have got to try and get straight to that limit.
00:04:51If they've got any hope of catching him, they've got to be able to do that straight away.
00:04:54But as you've said, Danny Kent on the front row, Rory's there, Fraser.
00:04:57You know, there's going to be a few brave moves on the opening lap, but they've got to try and nail that first lap.
00:05:01I think that's the fundamental thing, you know.
00:05:03In World Superbike, if you're not out and on lap record pace from literally the out-lab, you're nowhere.
00:05:09Do you know what I mean? You're always on the back foot.
00:05:11Brad spent two years having to do that and he's carrying this into BSB.
00:05:14The others are, you know, having to try and keep up.
00:05:17Have you warned him that he's going to break your record?
00:05:19No, I took a spark plug out of his body to make sure he doesn't.
00:05:22Is he going to buy dinner on the way home if he does it?
00:05:24He's not flying back till tomorrow.
00:05:26Ah, ah, ah, ah.
00:05:27It might take a bit more than that today, unfortunately, for the rest, James.
00:05:30And as Danny said, nailing it from the start, it's one thing saying it, knowing you've got to do it,
00:05:34but it's another thing actually executing.
00:05:36Yeah, of course, it's not as simple as ours.
00:05:38I'll just go copy and just do what he does, especially not when Brad is doing it in such a confident, intimidating way and just hitting his marks.
00:05:46But at the same time, you want to try and win this championship, you want to take the fight, you've got to start doing it.
00:05:51Yeah, OK.
00:05:52Well, as you can see, the grid is formed behind us and Wit is amongst it for us.
00:05:57Cheers, I'm back on roll three, because this is Christian Hiddin who excels in these conditions generally.
00:06:04This is a better grid position for you than the first race today in similar conditions.
00:06:10You've got bogged down in a bit of traffic then coming from further back.
00:06:13Yeah, exactly that.
00:06:14I mean, 18th on the grid is definitely sub-optimal for any starting position.
00:06:18So, yeah, I actually had quite a good race.
00:06:21It gets difficult.
00:06:22The dry line forms so fast around here that, yeah, as soon as the tyres just heat up, I mean, they'll continue to last.
00:06:28They're just the rubber moves a lot.
00:06:29So that's going to be a big consideration, obviously, because this one's another ten laps.
00:06:33It's a big difference.
00:06:34So, yeah, go out and do my best and have some fun.
00:06:37But from third row, it's definitely better than the sixth.
00:06:39So it should be good.
00:06:40Good luck, Christian.
00:06:42Yeah, I got caught in a real big battle and it's really difficult when conditions are like this.
00:06:47You get more spray off the people in front.
00:06:49There's four or five of them in a little gaggle.
00:06:51So you get more spray.
00:06:52Also, you've got to run offline if there's somebody in front of you.
00:06:54Difficult to see.
00:06:55So it should have a little bit better run.
00:06:57And a man who did have a decent run.
00:07:00He was 11th in race two in similar conditions.
00:07:03Here he is.
00:07:04I'll come round this way.
00:07:05And this is Andy Irwin.
00:07:07And not ideal conditions, but it's actually better for some people.
00:07:11And I'm guessing you don't mind this.
00:07:13Yeah, it's the same for everyone.
00:07:14It's always my approach, whatever the conditions are.
00:07:16And, yeah, it's really funny because here it drives so fast.
00:07:19It's like they use the SCR1 or use the SCR2.
00:07:22I think most people are going to use the one.
00:07:24I'm going to use the one, but it could be one of them ones.
00:07:26If you gambled, you might do a good job.
00:07:28Yeah, what Andy's talking about is there's two compounds of rear weight.
00:07:32They look exactly the same, but one's softer than the other.
00:07:34More grip in really heavy rain for the softer one.
00:07:37I think there's no issues with it lasting the decent soft one, is there?
00:07:41No issues with it lasting.
00:07:42But once it dries, the other one is much better.
00:07:45So it's like there is like quite a big difference between the two.
00:07:48In the real wet, the hard one is pretty rubbish.
00:07:50But they, and in this one in the real wet, this one's fantastic.
00:07:53So it's like that perfect tire between a soft wet and the inter.
00:07:57But yeah, I think while the clouds look like this, you're not killed.
00:08:00What's the point in racing?
00:08:02I have a solid weekend, 10 to 11.
00:08:03Not much to shout home about, but the speed's coming back.
00:08:06Good luck, Andrew.
00:08:07Tears on it.
00:08:08Right, yeah.
00:08:09And yeah, going from the second row, that's really good.
00:08:12So right, front row, this is another man who had an excellent,
00:08:15really good ride in the previous race today,
00:08:18and almost identical conditions to this.
00:08:21Danny Kent, so good to see you doing that.
00:08:23And actually going forward and another lap, lap and a half,
00:08:26I think you'd have been probably on a podium.
00:08:29Yeah, it was a mega race.
00:08:31I knew I had my workout starting on the fourth row.
00:08:34I'm just pleased that I got a good lap time in
00:08:36to put me on the front row for this race.
00:08:38And what is the plan?
00:08:39Just make the best that you can, try and keep out of trouble.
00:08:41But you've got the pace, obviously.
00:08:42Yeah, we've got the pace.
00:08:44It's a little bit, there's a lot more water down on the track
00:08:46compared to the first race.
00:08:48Just get a good start, see what the pace is and see how it feels.
00:08:51Good luck.
00:08:53Right.
00:08:54And I think he will have a good race.
00:08:55His pace was really strong.
00:08:56Had to pass a lot of people.
00:08:58And to do that, obviously, you've got to run off line.
00:09:00And when there's a drying line, like there was in the first race today,
00:09:04then you've got to go on to the wet track to get the best of that.
00:09:07Exceptional weekend you're having, Rory.
00:09:10I seem to be speaking to you a lot on the grid.
00:09:12And that's a really good sign.
00:09:14Yeah, it's been a good weekend again, Jamie.
00:09:17You know, I'm happy with the progress we're making as a team.
00:09:19It's, yeah, it's learning curves.
00:09:22Every time we go out, this is like, this is new for us.
00:09:24This is new conditions again.
00:09:25So it's definitely challenging.
00:09:27But no, the way that the Cheshire and Ducati team have worked,
00:09:29it's been excellent.
00:09:31Have you learned anything from the racing, similar conditions to this?
00:09:35Set-up-wise or same set-up?
00:09:37Pretty similar, to be honest.
00:09:38The biggest thing in that last race was when it started drying.
00:09:41Just the tyres got a bit hot in the dry patches
00:09:43and it was hard to keep them from going kind of like jelly.
00:09:45So, yeah, this race, I think it's looking a little bit darker,
00:09:48a little bit wetter.
00:09:49So, yeah, we'll just see how it goes and manage it from there.
00:09:52Good luck, Rory. Cheers.
00:09:53Right, about 40 seconds left.
00:09:56We've got to speak with this man because he has been untouchable
00:09:59and not just here, pretty much everywhere.
00:10:02Now, you've got to win this and you know why?
00:10:04Because then Shane Byrne will stop bleating about him
00:10:07winning nine on the bounce.
00:10:09So, please go and win.
00:10:10It's getting a bit old now, isn't it?
00:10:11Yeah, I am.
00:10:12Yeah.
00:10:13No, we'll give it a good go.
00:10:15It's a little bit different to this morning's conditions,
00:10:18but, yeah, 30 laps, long round here,
00:10:21a lot of concentration.
00:10:22So, just get stuck in.
00:10:24Good luck.
00:10:25Cheers, mate.
00:10:26That's it.
00:10:27Yeah, it is.
00:10:28It's actually easier conditions to understand
00:10:29because I think it'll stay wetter.
00:10:31I think, yeah, it's going to be good.
00:10:35Thanks, James.
00:10:36It's a great day here at Knock Hill,
00:10:38but Brad Ray is looking to turn the air blue.
00:10:42Bennett's BSB history beckons in race three.
00:10:45It's coming up next.
00:10:57It's absolutely tipping down here in Knock Hill, Scotland,
00:11:00as we could witness history.
00:11:02No rider has ever won nine consecutive races
00:11:06in Bennett's British Superbikes,
00:11:08but Brad Ray could be about to smash the record books up.
00:11:12He has been the nominant so far this year
00:11:14and has a 41-point lead ahead of Kyle Ride overall
00:11:17with Leon Haslam third.
00:11:18Rory Skinner is on for three podiums in a row here at home
00:11:23at Knock Hill, but there's 30 laps coming up.
00:11:26Can they get closer to Bradley Ray?
00:11:29Nine from ten now, and he's on for the first ever triple treble,
00:11:34starting from pole once more.
00:11:36There are threats everywhere, though,
00:11:38and they're further up the grid as well.
00:11:39Interesting, just a moment ago,
00:11:41whilst you guys were on the grid,
00:11:42I noticed that as everyone went out on their sighting laps,
00:11:45everyone went to their grid spots,
00:11:47apart from Storm Stacey, who did three sighting laps.
00:11:50What would be the reason for that?
00:11:52I don't know why you'd do that,
00:11:53and I don't know that he's allowed, is it?
00:11:55Well, I'm sure he did three, I'm certain.
00:11:57He came out and did two or three sighting laps.
00:12:00Anyway, not for us to worry about,
00:12:02but interesting nonetheless.
00:12:04Storm was so fast here on Friday.
00:12:07Did a fantastic job.
00:12:09Can he do the business here?
00:12:11Big question is, James, can they catch Ray in the spray?
00:12:15They're going to go quick to do that.
00:12:17They're going to get in front of him early.
00:12:19Like the boys were saying, the big advantage he's got is at the front.
00:12:26If he makes anything like a decent start, he's going to have clear air.
00:12:29Not only that, he seems to be able to get into his rhythm
00:12:31and find the limit of the conditions so quick.
00:12:34And it's really difficult to do that in these kind of conditions.
00:12:37You know, to go straight, you can do it in the dry,
00:12:40but basically you're just feeling for where the grip is
00:12:43and that takes a little bit of time generally for most people.
00:12:45But he's just able to get down to sometimes just instantly.
00:12:48Now, it was wet earlier on today when they went out for their sprint,
00:12:51but not as wet as this.
00:12:52Now it's really wet.
00:12:54As levels of wetness go, this is worse.
00:12:57I think it's tipping down now.
00:12:59There's actually, as I walked in, there is sort of line water gathering.
00:13:03There's definitely more sitting.
00:13:04Well, you can just see there.
00:13:05There's going to be a lot of spray here.
00:13:07Yeah, the riders making their way onto the front row.
00:13:09Then Rory Skinner second.
00:13:10Danny Kent third.
00:13:11What can he do?
00:13:12They're all trying to chase that man.
00:13:14Number 28, Bradley Ray.
00:13:15Bradley Ray.
00:13:19It's round four of Bennett's BSB.
00:13:21The third and final race of the weekend here at Notkill in Scotland,
00:13:27who will reign supreme here in the rain.
00:13:31Eyes on the lights.
00:13:32Top left corner.
00:13:33And away we go.
00:13:34Good start from Rory Skinner second there.
00:13:36Really good start again from Storm Stacey.
00:13:38Fraser Rogers getting his elbows out with Andy Irwin
00:13:40in the approach to turn one.
00:13:41Getting the whole shot though is Scotsman Rory Skinner
00:13:44on the Cheshire Mouldings to Catty.
00:13:46He's P1 from Brad Ray.
00:13:47Storm Stacey in third.
00:13:48Going to attack immediately, is he?
00:13:49We thought about it.
00:13:50Yeah, risky that.
00:13:51I had to run offline to do it.
00:13:52That meant going onto the wet part of the track,
00:13:54but it was a great launch from Storm.
00:13:56Andy Irwin there.
00:13:57It said on his hat when you were interviewing him.
00:13:59Team 18, flat out.
00:14:00When has he ever been anything other than flat out?
00:14:03And he's already getting busy.
00:14:04Number 18 on the Honda.
00:14:06Yeah, he's a brave lad.
00:14:07Tommy Bridewell.
00:14:08A shaky start for him.
00:14:09He's got a lot of work to do early on
00:14:11as they power around his locks and up towards Taylor's hairpin
00:14:15for the first time.
00:14:16It's Skinner that leads from Bradley Ray.
00:14:18Yeah, Bradley won't be too bothered about this,
00:14:21especially if he can put a little bit of time into the group behind.
00:14:24Danny Kent needs, if he's going to do anything,
00:14:26to get past Storm Stacey pretty quick.
00:14:29And it did look like in the first race today,
00:14:32he had the pace to do that.
00:14:34Look at all the spray here.
00:14:35It's so hard to see any of the road.
00:14:37Yeah.
00:14:38And it's not just that.
00:14:39It's difficult to see where you need to be on track.
00:14:41Difficult to see where you've got a clip,
00:14:43a painted section of curving,
00:14:44but not hit it because it's a lot less grip there.
00:14:47Look how close they go.
00:14:48You need to do that to do the times.
00:14:50But if you click one, you're down, especially.
00:14:52Not so much there because the bike is going over straight
00:14:54and there's no side push on those tyres.
00:14:56But anywhere there is, so coming out of a corner,
00:14:58you drift onto a pin and patch you down.
00:15:00These are, without doubt,
00:15:01the worst conditions of the weekend so far.
00:15:03Yes.
00:15:04So, Skinner it is that leads from Bradley Ray.
00:15:07Four tenths up from him.
00:15:09There's a fair gap then already forming.
00:15:11Almost two seconds back to Storm Stacey in third.
00:15:13Yep.
00:15:14Fraser Rogers is in amongst that group as well there.
00:15:17The yellow and black tag.
00:15:18Honda just behind McCams.
00:15:19Yamaha rider Danny Kent.
00:15:21There you can see Scott Redding in 14th
00:15:24behind Luke Hedger and ahead of Tommy Bridewell.
00:15:27Tommy Bridewell down to 15th on this first few laps.
00:15:29Yeah, just look.
00:15:30You can see how important it is to be out front
00:15:33because the spray, especially when you get three, four,
00:15:35five and six bikes in front of you,
00:15:36the spray is horrendous.
00:15:38At what point is it too much?
00:15:40Standing water in places?
00:15:42Standing water that will bring the organisers
00:15:45to think about stopping it if it gets deep enough
00:15:47so that even the wets won't cut through however much water there is.
00:15:51And it's normally, you know, if you get puddles,
00:15:53you'll go through them and it'll spin up immediately
00:15:55or you'll, you know, you lose traction
00:15:57because the actual tyre isn't touching the floor at that point.
00:16:00At this speed, the tyres just want to float,
00:16:03even with the weight and want to float over the water.
00:16:05Danny can try to get through there on Storm Stacey,
00:16:08but we're unable to.
00:16:09We have a red flag.
00:16:10Fraser Rogers goes through, but we do have a red flag
00:16:13for exactly what we just mentioned.
00:16:14Exactly.
00:16:15For climatic conditions.
00:16:16Yeah.
00:16:17So this one halted.
00:16:20And you could see visibly, James, it was getting that way.
00:16:24Yeah.
00:16:25Knock Hill's brilliant in a lot of ways in a way
00:16:27because there's no corner that's flat,
00:16:30unlike Silverstone where you just get limewater everywhere
00:16:32because it's really flat.
00:16:34Here, every corner has either camber or it's on a hill,
00:16:37so it sheets off.
00:16:38What that does mean is you get little rivers running across
00:16:40and sometimes it's in places where you want to be braking
00:16:43or accelerating in.
00:16:44Honestly, if the water and the puddle is more than
00:16:46three or four millimetres deep lying on top of the tarmac,
00:16:49the tyres at speed will not cut through that
00:16:51and he just floats.
00:16:52There is Rory Skinner then, back into the garage,
00:16:54arms up in the air.
00:16:55He'd have kept going.
00:16:56Of course he would.
00:16:57He's probably raced around here in the snow,
00:16:59an arm up there from experienced Lee Jackson.
00:17:01Yeah.
00:17:02And I think when you've got experienced riders like that
00:17:04who are putting up their arm, including Tommy Bridewell to say,
00:17:07do you know what, guys?
00:17:08This is enough.
00:17:09And this is an agreement in place with Stuart Hicks as well.
00:17:12Correct.
00:17:13I was just going to say that.
00:17:14Stuart will pick four or five trusted, experienced riders out
00:17:19and some of them will have trusted, experienced riders that don't
00:17:22have an axe to grind in the championship at that point.
00:17:25And he'll, he'll trust their decisions.
00:17:27And yeah, it's, it was sketchy there.
00:17:30This is the Taz racing team then getting to work.
00:17:33Yeah.
00:17:34It's awful.
00:17:35Credit to the fans again, James.
00:17:37They come out here.
00:17:38They've stuck it out.
00:17:39And I, you know, I've said it before this weekend.
00:17:41I'll say it again.
00:17:42They've been so unlucky.
00:17:43That five or six weeks of dry weather, even in Yorkshire,
00:17:46where I live, we've had, they've had it up here.
00:17:49They're just unlucky.
00:17:50Timing just seems really against them up here.
00:17:52And this is a day when it's wet up here.
00:17:54But it's actually wet at Silverstone.
00:17:55We've seen that for the British Grand Prix.
00:17:58So, you know, it's not, this isn't just a knock hill thing.
00:18:00This is a timing thing.
00:18:02So unlucky.
00:18:04He's just saying now that he can't see, of course,
00:18:06Tommy Brideswell, looking at the camera.
00:18:09I mean, Tommy's been here and done it.
00:18:11He's seen it all.
00:18:12Yeah.
00:18:13It's BSB.
00:18:14If you looked at the top of his helmet,
00:18:15what you've got there is a strip, a rubber strip on a clear visor.
00:18:18That strip is there, almost like a static windscreen wiper
00:18:22that's supposed to stop water dripping down the inside of the visor
00:18:25because once you get water in your helmet,
00:18:27that turns to steam when you're working really hard
00:18:29and you're breathing into it as well.
00:18:30Some riders like those kind of bullnose type things
00:18:33that shove the air out the bottom of the chin piece.
00:18:37But look at it.
00:18:39You said it dead right before.
00:18:41They can put men on the moon and all the rest of it
00:18:43and the technology we've got these days,
00:18:45but you can't seem to stop a visor.
00:18:47I'll tell you what.
00:18:48If you have got something up your sleeve
00:18:52to try and sort that job out,
00:18:54take it to Dragon's Den and you'll make a fortune.
00:18:57Listen, it's my day right.
00:18:58You didn't even have double glazed visors.
00:19:00You just had a clear visor.
00:19:01And what you did is you got some fairy liquid
00:19:03and you rubbed it on and then smeared it
00:19:05so they had a layer of fairy liquid.
00:19:07See, that was bad enough.
00:19:08That was looking like through a toilet window.
00:19:11And then when the water got in there, you just got soap in your eyes.
00:19:15That made it worse.
00:19:16Let's see what Rory Skinner made of it.
00:19:18He was leading at the time.
00:19:19He's with Shaky now.
00:19:20Rory Skinner, home race hero.
00:19:22You were leading that race there.
00:19:23Obviously, the red flags come out for climatic conditions.
00:19:27How was it for you?
00:19:28Did you enjoy yourself out there?
00:19:29I mean, I got to the front straight off the start,
00:19:31so the spray wasn't too bad for me.
00:19:33I can imagine further in the pack it was a little bit more difficult.
00:19:35But, yeah, the heavens did open there.
00:19:37It was getting a little bit wet.
00:19:39But, yeah, I don't think there was any problem
00:19:41with the track conditions themselves.
00:19:42It was, you know, the bike moves around in the wet a little bit anyway,
00:19:45so it's a fine line.
00:19:47The problem is we're looking over towards the hill there
00:19:49and all the sheep are at the bottom of the hill,
00:19:51so that tends to mean it's going to rain.
00:19:52That's because you was at the front of the race, Rory.
00:19:54Yeah, well, this is the thing.
00:19:56It's all right.
00:19:57It's in the name of safety, so I suppose it is what it is.
00:19:59Good luck for the restart when it happens.
00:20:01Cheers, thank you.
00:20:02Oh, there you go.
00:20:04Say no more.
00:20:06This is the rain.
00:20:08This is a bit of drainage that's been provided.
00:20:10Yeah, listen, years ago they put a lot of effort in here
00:20:13to get it to drain because it's the run into the hairpin.
00:20:16Like you said, you can see how undulating it is,
00:20:19so that makes the water sheet off the actual track,
00:20:22but it's got to sit somewhere.
00:20:24They put a lot of effort and spent a load of money,
00:20:27about three or four points around the track,
00:20:29that being one of them, to put not just some channels like that,
00:20:32but some proper land drains in.
00:20:34And it does drain pretty well now,
00:20:36but when it's coming down as heavy as this,
00:20:38you're going to have problems.
00:20:39Just saw there the Raceways Yamaha team applying a bit of duct tape to the radiator of Brad's bike.
00:20:45Yeah, stop the thing getting too cold in conditions like this.
00:20:49They don't run thermostats like you would in your car or your road bike
00:20:53that keeps it at a sort of running temperature.
00:20:57They need the flow of coolant around the engine so they don't run a thermostat,
00:21:04but to stop them getting too cold, they do put duct tape on the rad.
00:21:07You do a few laps around here for your James Whittam track days, don't you?
00:21:10Yeah. Is this too much for you as well?
00:21:12Yeah, we wouldn't be sending people out in this.
00:21:15We do have customers that would actually go out in this.
00:21:21So, if you're just tuning in, race red flag due to climatic conditions.
00:21:25A really good call made.
00:21:27The trusty, experienced VSB riders notifying series director Stuart Higgs
00:21:31that visibility's not good, standing water's not good,
00:21:35and so put a halt to it before there were any dramas.
00:21:37At that time, Rory Skinner was leading from Bradley Ray.
00:21:40If you've been tuning in all weekend on TNT Sports, thank you very much.
00:21:43There's still loads of bike racing action coming your way over the next few weeks.
00:21:46Of course, BSB season itself is sort of one weekend on, one weekend off at the moment.
00:21:51We're at Brands Next.
00:21:52Next weekend, a bumper weekend of racing action.
00:21:55MotoGP are at the Saxon Ring.
00:21:58Mark Marquez continues his domination, no doubt, at one of his favourite circuits,
00:22:02so you can tune in to the guys over there.
00:22:05And then also, we've got Donnington Park World Superbikes on offer for you.
00:22:10Let's hear now from Shakey.
00:22:12He's got Gordon Shedden with him.
00:22:14Got a rather special guest with me down here, Steve.
00:22:16Gordon Shedden, director here at Knock Hill Racing Circuit.
00:22:20Absolute superstar in a British touring car as well.
00:22:22Gordon, race there, stop for climatic conditions.
00:22:26You'll have done enough laps around here to know when it's a little bit tricky.
00:22:31You told me it was going to be sunny today.
00:22:33It was sunny in different parts, you know.
00:22:35Caught a little bit of an unlucky shower there.
00:22:37One of the great things about Knock Hill, because of the undulation, it does drain very well.
00:22:41So the circuit's super grippy, very, very consistent.
00:22:45I think it's a little bit of the spray coming up off of these Pirelli tyres
00:22:48that's causing a little bit of the drama.
00:22:51But I would expect us to be going sooner rather than later.
00:22:53You'll have had your weather radars on.
00:22:56What's the forecast telling you?
00:22:58I mean, clearly we'd all love it to be 30 degrees and sunny.
00:23:01But it's part of the spice of life.
00:23:03And the British Championship is about racing in all conditions, all venues.
00:23:06And, you know, I believe they've got horrific weather in Silverstone for Formula One today.
00:23:10And, you know, it's kind of sweeping through the country.
00:23:12But, you know, this rain has already just about stopped.
00:23:16And I'm sure we'll get a great second super bike race here.
00:23:18Gordon, thanks for your time.
00:23:20A man who knows a thing or two about wet weather.
00:23:22Won the most recent British touring car race in the wet at Alton Park.
00:23:25The three-time British touring car champion.
00:23:27Yeah, lovely fella.
00:23:28He's always up here as well.
00:23:29He's not sort of a figurehead.
00:23:31He's married to the owner of the place's daughter.
00:23:35And then he's a lovely fella as well.
00:23:37Flies an aeroplane as well.
00:23:38And he's been into Huddersfield International a couple of times to pick up fuel.
00:23:43Fuel.
00:23:44Again.
00:23:45Full retail.
00:23:46Full retail price, of course.
00:23:47Yeah.
00:23:48No surprise there.
00:23:52This is your championship leader then, Bradley Ray.
00:23:55He's potentially on the brink of adding to those two trophies that you can see on the top right of your corner to become the first rider to ever do a triple treble.
00:24:04First ever to do nine in a season.
00:24:06That was back in 2003 when a 26-year-old shaky burn done eight in a row.
00:24:12And that was, of course, his first of six British superbike championships.
00:24:16Will you stop now?
00:24:17You only make him worse.
00:24:20I like it though.
00:24:21It's funny.
00:24:22Yeah.
00:24:23Shaky's a legend.
00:24:24No doubt.
00:24:25It's funny because we work with him.
00:24:26I'm prepared to say that.
00:24:27If this record goes, you know only too well.
00:24:29Shaky's got a plethora of others.
00:24:31He'll have another record up his sleeve, won't he?
00:24:35The marshals here then.
00:24:37Seeing the funny side to it.
00:24:38And hopefully we'll get some racing action for you underway.
00:24:41Red flagged at the moment due to climatic conditions.
00:24:44As you can see, just a bit too much ripple.
00:24:46It is.
00:24:47That is still wet.
00:24:48Yeah.
00:24:49Thanks for that confirmation, James.
00:24:50No, I'm just saying God has said he stopped.
00:24:53He stopped raining.
00:24:54And it does sheet off this place pretty quick, but that is still pretty wet.
00:24:59Storm Stacey.
00:25:00I'll stand by you.
00:25:05Storm wanted to carry on racing, obviously.
00:25:07He's going back to the history books.
00:25:10Well, he's going to get another go in a moment.
00:25:14The Batham's AGN BMW rider.
00:25:17Yeah, the problem is with having nominees in terms of riders.
00:25:21You've got to pick a kind of, an even spread because people always have a kind of, they've got a bit of an investment in whatever conditions they have.
00:25:32They think they're going to get a result.
00:25:33They'll say keep going.
00:25:34What's the decision process behind things like this when it happens, when it rains?
00:25:38Let's hear from the boss himself.
00:25:40Stuart Hicks is now with shaky back.
00:25:41Yeah.
00:25:42Series director, Stuart Hicks.
00:25:43Stuart, Justin, you come in with a course car.
00:25:44You're looking very happy.
00:25:45What's your thoughts on how long before we get going again?
00:25:47Well, we're now within five minutes to the pit lane reopening.
00:25:5025 laps race distance, quick start procedure.
00:25:54We started, it was just as we were going on the green flag laps.
00:25:58It was like the knock-heel tap just got turned on that little bit more again.
00:26:01And the levels have been building up over the past couple of hours.
00:26:06It just took us to a bit.
00:26:07It was quite localized between turn one to turn four.
00:26:10And at the same time, the hairpin just started to have some accumulation.
00:26:14So for us, it's better to stop with the rain cell that's been our nemesis all day.
00:26:22We've got this weather window now of about sort of like 45 minutes.
00:26:26So we should be in a good shape.
00:26:28So yeah, disruptive, but you know, I want to play safety first.
00:26:31Thanks for talking to us, Stuart.
00:26:32Cheers.
00:26:33So then, there you hear it from the man himself.
00:26:35We will have a 25 lap race coming your way.
00:26:38But until then, we'll take a quick breather.
00:26:40We'll be back in a couple of minutes with BSP action.
00:26:51Welcome back here to Not Kill.
00:26:53We had a red flag earlier on due to climatic conditions.
00:26:55The rain has just steadied a bit.
00:26:57Pit lane has just closed.
00:26:58Riders out on circuit on their sighting lap.
00:27:00Ready for a quick restart and a 25 lap race.
00:27:04Brad Ray will start from pole position.
00:27:06Rory Skinner was leading when the red flag came out.
00:27:09But it raised that from your memory because they're back to original grid positions.
00:27:14And this is a brand new race.
00:27:16Bradley Ray on the brink of history.
00:27:18Looking to become the first rider ever to win nine on the trot.
00:27:21Yeah, if they'd run a third of race distance, it would have gone.
00:27:24The grip position would have been formed from the position at that point when the race was stopped.
00:27:28Not so.
00:27:29So it was original grip positions.
00:27:32The disappointing thing for Rory Skinner is the fact that he made a cracking start and just got his nose in front.
00:27:39And he's got to do that again.
00:27:41And that's not a given.
00:27:42No, it absolutely isn't.
00:27:44Because Brad Ray more often than not gets the job done.
00:27:47Yeah.
00:27:48From pole position.
00:27:49So Rory's going to have to try and bolt from the start.
00:27:51We saw earlier on that Storm Stacey got a really good launch.
00:27:54There are now going to be warm-up laps that take place.
00:27:59Cheshire Moulding's team manager Steve Plater hoping that Rory can do the job.
00:28:04Speaking to Rory earlier on after his second podium of the weekend.
00:28:09And he said that he just feels like it's the first time in his career that he's just had a bit of a break.
00:28:14And he's getting on a bit of a roll.
00:28:15Because in the past, James, every time he's just looked like he's about to go on a roll, it's not gone right.
00:28:19Yeah, that's true.
00:28:20Ray's on pole from Skinner and Kent.
00:28:22Danny Kent then.
00:28:23Can he get the job done on the McCams Yamaha?
00:28:25Stacey Rogers, Andy Irwin.
00:28:26That's an attacking row two.
00:28:28Bridewell, Ryden, Iden on row three.
00:28:30Plenty of experience on offer there with Haslam, Brooks and Cook on row four.
00:28:35Starting from 13th is Lee Jackson from Luke Hedgett and Scott Swan.
00:28:41And then it's McPhee and Nesbitt.
00:28:43The two Master Mack Honda teammates who have really had a tough time of it here this weekend.
00:28:48The 16th and 17th ahead of Billy McConnell.
00:28:50It's 19th for Scott Redding on the Hager PBM Ducati.
00:28:54Good to hear that Glen Irwin is in good spirits back at home.
00:28:57We send you our best, Glen.
00:28:59Hoping that we'll see him in the paddock.
00:29:01It's fantastic when we go to Brown's Hatch in two weeks' time.
00:29:05Two warm-up lapsers ever here at Notkill and a 25-lap race.
00:29:08Yeah, I'd like to reiterate that and send my good wishes and a speed recovery for Glen Irwin.
00:29:14He was supposed to be at Carl Fogarty's 60th birthday party last week.
00:29:18He was missed.
00:29:19He was definitely going to make it and we sent him a nice sort of message.
00:29:22He's out of hospital now and back home and recovering.
00:29:25But it's a big whack he's had.
00:29:27And, well, elated birthday wishes to Carl Fogarty himself as well on his 60th birthday.
00:29:32He's looking well.
00:29:34Don't laugh.
00:29:35I'm not laughing.
00:29:37Right, here we go.
00:29:38No-one can see me.
00:29:39Don't throw me under a valve.
00:29:41Just a quick one on tyres.
00:29:43Pirelli news has just come through.
00:29:45Earlier on when the race had started,
00:29:47Summit Bridewell, Storm Stacey and Carl Ryde had opted for the harder rear rain.
00:29:51But because of this break, they've actually now reverted back to the soft.
00:29:54Yeah, they've had a look and I think it was a mistake even then.
00:29:57Even if it hadn't come on to rain any harder, they would have suffered.
00:30:01I think speaking to other people more early on when it was wet,
00:30:04the idea is the harder one will cope with the drying conditions
00:30:07like we had at the end of the first race this morning better.
00:30:12But actually, you've got to get to that point in some kind of position.
00:30:20Here we go then.
00:30:21The third race of the weekend and a soggy knock hill.
00:30:2425 laps coming your way.
00:30:26He did the treble at Donington.
00:30:28He did the treble at Snetterton.
00:30:30He's in line for another here in Scotland.
00:30:32We're about to find out.
00:30:33It's eyes on the lights here in BSB.
00:30:36And another good start for Rory Skinner.
00:30:38And another good start for Storm Stacey as well.
00:30:40And Skinner might just get the whole shot once again.
00:30:42He's got the inside line and does go into P1.
00:30:45Into turn one.
00:30:46Good start from Kent as well.
00:30:47He's fourth.
00:30:48Fraser Rogers up to fifth.
00:30:49Andy Irwin sixth.
00:30:50Yeah, that's a good thing.
00:30:51It's a carbon copy.
00:30:52Oh, and that's Storm forcing his way.
00:30:54I don't know.
00:30:55It's Fraser Rogers, I think.
00:30:56Yep, Fraser.
00:30:57He was, wasn't it?
00:30:58There you go.
00:30:59Go on, Fraser.
00:31:00Through the chicane we go.
00:31:02Can be tricky through here.
00:31:04Most of the riders have made it through the first sector.
00:31:06No disrespect to Brad Ray, but I'm really glad that Rory Skinner managed to do exactly the same as he did in the previous start.
00:31:13Yeah, I agree completely.
00:31:14Feels like a bit of justice, doesn't it?
00:31:15Yes.
00:31:16And let's see how we get on this time.
00:31:18Storm might just think with a soft, wet rear tyre in that he's got a better chance now as well of staying with Rory and Brad Ray.
00:31:28Who's that running wide?
00:31:29Is that Leon Haslam potentially over at the hairpin?
00:31:31Over the line then to complete lap one is Skinner from Ray, from Stacey, from Rogers and Danny Kent.
00:31:36Yeah, just behind that is Andy Irwin.
00:31:38Just slid under his teammate at the hairpin there.
00:31:41Tommy Bridewell already looking more comfortable with a softer wet option in the rear.
00:31:46He dropped down to 15th in that first up.
00:31:48Rory Skinner straight back into his moves.
00:31:51Yeah, and Storm says he's looking a bit punchy.
00:31:53Yep, just up behind Brad Ray.
00:31:55Yeah, Brad Ray here has got a couple of riders behind him who are very hungry.
00:31:59And don't mind a move.
00:32:01Exactly.
00:32:02Yeah, you wouldn't necessarily want that with a championship league to protect, would you?
00:32:05No, I don't think anyone would really fancy the look of plus-nought Storm Stacey on their pit board.
00:32:11Breaking now into Taylor's hairpin.
00:32:14Remember, a reduced race of 25 laps.
00:32:17That's hidden up the inside of Andy Irwin.
00:32:20Andy's made a mistake somewhere there because starting that lap, he was in front of his teammate, even Tommy Bridewell.
00:32:2752.3.
00:32:29Fastest lap of the race already from Brad Ray in second spot.
00:32:32There is Tommy Bridewell, number 46, currently in sixth ahead of Idden, who had to do a lot of work in the race earlier on.
00:32:41Yeah, it started from way back because of him sliding off on the first lap.
00:32:46And obviously, your grip position is formed by your fastest lap in the previous race.
00:32:52So, yeah, third row, a lot better for Christian.
00:32:55McCammons, the Yamaha rider, just in the background there, Danny Kent, number 52.
00:32:58It's just taking a bit longer than normal to warm up into this one.
00:33:03And that's a problem.
00:33:04We've seen that even in the drive-from, Danny.
00:33:06You've got to get going quicker than this, especially in these conditions.
00:33:10You find yourself seconds behind when you get going.
00:33:13No point having a fastest lap towards the end.
00:33:15You need to be somewhere near the beginning and stay there.
00:33:17Yeah, and that has happened, you're right, quite often in the BSB.
00:33:21Look at Kyle Wright struggling.
00:33:23The reigning champion has dropped down to 13th behind Leon Haslam, just ahead of Nesbitt and Jackson.
00:33:28Scott Redding is down to 16th as well.
00:33:32Christian Idden there, just looking for a way past Tommy Bridewell.
00:33:36Christian loves these conditions.
00:33:38Anything that takes a bit of bravery and getting stuck in, Christian's up for.
00:33:44Talking of getting stuck in.
00:33:46Christian is getting tucked into this race.
00:33:48Foot 52.2 is just half a second up now on Bradley Ray at the sharp end of the race.
00:33:55And Storm Stacey is only four tenths behind Bradley.
00:33:58Bradley's in a bit of a position here because he's never had to make this decision, really.
00:34:04Is he going to take a risk or two to stay with Rory and maybe, you know, risk falling down in these conditions?
00:34:13It will be easy.
00:34:14Or does he just think about the championship?
00:34:17It's hard, isn't it?
00:34:18Yeah, because it's still feeling.
00:34:19We're still so early on in the championship.
00:34:21Really? Yeah.
00:34:22Can't afford to make a mistake.
00:34:23No, especially with the points gap being so small early on in the championship.
00:34:28Only two points between first and second.
00:34:30I mean, his nearest championship rival is Kyle Ride.
00:34:33He's at the moment down in 13th place.
00:34:35Yeah.
00:34:36Although the way Rory Skinner's going at the moment, Rory Skinner might soon be the next best contender.
00:34:42So, trusting dilemma there for the championship leader.
00:34:46As we look here at Christian Nidden now through on Tommy Bridewell and into sixth place on his ADN SteelStock Kawasaki.
00:34:55Keep track of his lap time in just a moment.
00:34:58Just further back there.
00:34:59It's a lunge from Leon Haslam as he moved up a spot.
00:35:03Over the line, a 51.5 now from Brad Ray.
00:35:06He is the fastest rider on circuit.
00:35:11So, just four tenths between Skinner and Ray.
00:35:14And on that lap, Storm Stacey half a second slow.
00:35:17And you can see that gap has come down.
00:35:19Yeah, I think we can deduce from this that his theory is he's going to have a go.
00:35:24Still, yeah.
00:35:25With Rory.
00:35:27Yeah, well, he wants that record, doesn't he?
00:35:30From Shaky, there'll be some bragging rights later on if that comes off.
00:35:34Yeah, you know, sometimes you're going to get a little bit of spray coming back from the rider in front.
00:35:39But when it's one rider in front, it's not too bad.
00:35:41It's three or four riders in front when you're in a pack.
00:35:44When you get the really bad spray and that just spoils your vision everywhere.
00:35:47Here comes Christian up the inside of Danny King.
00:35:50Clean move that and made the corner.
00:35:52Lovely.
00:35:53He's had some decent results, actually, on the Kawasaki.
00:35:55He was fifth and sixth on the first two races.
00:35:58I think that the team are really pleased with him.
00:36:00I'm chatting with Darren this morning.
00:36:02Darren Fry, who's one of the team owners.
00:36:04And he said, look, we know we're on a bike that's kind of...
00:36:07He's just a bit long in the tooth.
00:36:09And it's...
00:36:10The way he put it was, look, nobody else runs one.
00:36:13Just us, you know.
00:36:14And if there were a really competitive bike, other people would be running.
00:36:18There you go.
00:36:19Baker's in trouble here.
00:36:20Bike in the middle of the circuit as well.
00:36:21And that's at the hairpin.
00:36:22Marshall's legging it over there to get that one moved.
00:36:25Hopefully Blaze is okay as he lifts away.
00:36:27Yeah, and hopefully it hadn't hit the ground hard enough
00:36:29to do any damage to a casing or leaking a fuel.
00:36:31We've got yellow flags here, rightly, as you would imagine.
00:36:33Rory Skinner coming into the hairpin with Bradley Ray just behind him.
00:36:36And they've done very well to move that bike.
00:36:39As quick as they did, yeah.
00:36:40We've got a red flag.
00:36:41I reckon that might...
00:36:43Either that there's an incident somewhere else or...
00:36:46There's contamination on the track from that.
00:36:48There you go.
00:36:49There it is, yeah.
00:36:50It's starting to come out.
00:36:51I just said, I hope it hasn't gone down hard enough.
00:36:52Well, it has.
00:36:53That's broken a casing or even that could be fuel.
00:36:57If it's fuel, it's really difficult to see where it is.
00:37:01It just floats on top of the water and it gets everywhere.
00:37:03All you get is a little kind of rainbow look to it,
00:37:07and it just spreads across the track.
00:37:09And as riders get on the power out of there...
00:37:11It's just where you don't need it.
00:37:12Yeah, exactly.
00:37:13Blaise Baker is okay.
00:37:16He limped away from the scene, but it's another red flag here at Knock Hill.
00:37:20And that means Rory's got to do it all over again.
00:37:23It just doesn't seem fair.
00:37:25No.
00:37:26And there you can see...
00:37:27Sorry, Rory.
00:37:28Take three.
00:37:29Do you know what?
00:37:30I'm just looking at Danny Booker and it just sat behind us here
00:37:33and I looked at him and he just shook his head.
00:37:35It's like, you know as a rider that's done a lot of this,
00:37:38it's one of them weekends where you're just happy to be heading
00:37:42in your warm van down the M6.
00:37:45It's just...
00:37:46Yeah.
00:37:47What that means.
00:37:49What that means.
00:37:50The Dow racing team then get to work.
00:37:53Of course, there is...
00:37:55I suppose if there's some light that comes from red flags,
00:37:58if you've maybe made a setup on your bike
00:38:01and you want to make some adjustments,
00:38:03then you can make some minor adjustments here and there
00:38:06to try and get yourself more competitive.
00:38:08A polite round of applause from...
00:38:10For Blaze, yeah, as he limps away.
00:38:12We hear it's fuel that was dropped from his bike
00:38:16and the problem with that is it's not as viscous and thick as oil,
00:38:21so in a lot of ways it's easier to clean up
00:38:23and it does actually tend to evaporate,
00:38:25but when it's as wet as this, it floats on the surface of the water
00:38:29and it just spreads out.
00:38:31Imagine dropping a little bit of oil into a bowl of water.
00:38:33Bing!
00:38:34It just spreads out and that's exactly what's going to happen.
00:38:36Change of visor there for Storm, Stacey.
00:38:42And we will go again.
00:38:44I can't believe that.
00:38:45I mean, I know he's been racing everything
00:38:46from being about five years old as Storm.
00:38:49He's raced go-karts, he's raced minibikes and right through,
00:38:52so he's very, very used to this environment,
00:38:55but he's a really laid-back fellow, isn't he?
00:38:58Yeah.
00:38:59Almost too laid-back sometimes.
00:39:00He doesn't ever seem to get nervous.
00:39:01No, he doesn't.
00:39:05So the fuel that's gone down, a little bit of a sweep up.
00:39:07And literally the only...
00:39:09All they're going to be able to do here to see where the fuel has actually got to
00:39:13on top of that water is just kind of skid it with the feet,
00:39:16you know, just feel.
00:39:17It's not ideal.
00:39:19Isn't it amazing as well how quickly the conditions change here?
00:39:24Because, I mean, we couldn't even see a little while ago from the heavy rain.
00:39:27We've almost got a situation here now where we might even have,
00:39:30just like earlier on, a bit of a dry line up here towards the end of the race.
00:39:33Yeah, because the rain has stopped coming down.
00:39:36And once it stops coming down here, there's that much camber on all the corners
00:39:40and that many hills, it kind of sheets off.
00:39:42So we are going to have a restart now over 18 laps.
00:39:45And because we'd completed six laps, the grid will form as of lap six.
00:39:50So Rory Skinner will start from pole position from Bradley Ray and Storm Stacey.
00:39:56So Stacey's going to get a shot from the front row and he's very good from lights off.
00:40:01So that gives him a chance of the whole shot.
00:40:03Fraser Rogers will head row two from Christian Hiddin and Danny Kent.
00:40:08Tommy Bridewall will start from seventh ahead of his teammate Andy Irwin
00:40:11and then Max Cook in ninth.
00:40:13Cook was having a good run there.
00:40:14McPhee will start tenth ahead of Haslam and Brooks
00:40:17and then it will be Nesbitt, Jackson and Ryd.
00:40:26Puff of the cheeks for Tommy.
00:40:28You were just saying, one of those weekends and that sort of explains it all.
00:40:31Yeah, and that's from a super experienced rider
00:40:33that's done a lot of racing over a lot of years
00:40:35and even he's puffing his cheeks out.
00:40:37Lee Bob Jackson.
00:40:39That's a lot Christian.
00:40:53Christian was going well there, fifth place.
00:40:55Yeah.
00:40:56So he'll start from fifth on the grid.
00:40:59And he was lapping well also.
00:41:01So there's a potential here for a podium, you know, for Christian Hiddin.
00:41:04Yeah, an outside chance, I think.
00:41:06Yeah.
00:41:07Thumbs up from Nigel Snoop.
00:41:08John McPhee as well will start from tenth place, the number 17.
00:41:16He's had some decent points finishes at the start of BSP this year, but he's had some bad luck.
00:41:20He could do with a clean weekend, couldn't he?
00:41:22I was just going to say, little fella hasn't had the best start for a lot of reasons to his BSP career, has he?
00:41:28You can tell from the level, he's just battered everywhere.
00:41:33We're going to get pit lane open in, what, around about five minutes.
00:41:37Chance for us to take a quick break.
00:41:39When we come back, we'll build up to an 18, no, 16 lap restart.
00:41:43Welcome back to Not Kill.
00:41:52Luke Hedger here, absolutely legging it to get a new helmet.
00:41:56Pit lane open, and he might miss pit lane closes.
00:42:00Where's he going?
00:42:01He's got a big spot on his face.
00:42:04Yeah.
00:42:05The Whitecliffe rider, but this is cutting it fine.
00:42:08Really fine.
00:42:09No guarantee he's going to make that.
00:42:11He's putting his helmet on as he runs.
00:42:13But actually, it's important for him because he really rides well in these conditions.
00:42:18We saw that Friday.
00:42:19He's absolutely shattered.
00:42:20He's got the helmet on.
00:42:21He's just going to make it before pit lane closes here.
00:42:24Yeah, up he goes.
00:42:25Perfect.
00:42:26Well done.
00:42:27Shake of the head, but he manages to get out.
00:42:29If you've just tuned in, we had a couple of red flags.
00:42:32One due to climatic conditions.
00:42:34The next, after a crash for Blaise Baker, who is okay, a bit of fuel came out.
00:42:38We weren't sure if it was oil.
00:42:40Now we've got a third time of asking, a 16 lap restart.
00:42:44Rory Skinner led both of those races.
00:42:47He's got to try now and do that again.
00:42:49Yeah.
00:42:50But crucially, there's a bit of a change to the grid now.
00:42:53Storm Stacey moves up a row.
00:42:55Yeah.
00:42:56So he will be threat early on.
00:42:57Fraser Rogers is fourth.
00:42:58No, he'll get stuck in.
00:42:59What's going on here?
00:43:00Kyle Ryders missed the pit lane closing.
00:43:03Ooh.
00:43:04So he will start.
00:43:05Well, he'll start ultimately.
00:43:06I mean, if they could get him out of stuff in the back of the grid, it might even be a pit lane start here.
00:43:09Might be a pit lane start, yeah.
00:43:10Because there's still quite a bit of work going on.
00:43:13Wow.
00:43:14Okay.
00:43:15Well, so much drama here at Knock Hill.
00:43:18The reigning champion then with work to do in this one.
00:43:22Let's hope that they can get him out.
00:43:26Get him out.
00:43:27We know how crucial even just a single point can be.
00:43:31Kyle Ryd picked up a solitary point here last year.
00:43:34And look what happened at the end of the season.
00:43:36They know how crucial it is, James.
00:43:37What are they doing?
00:43:38That's difficult to understand because the point of fresh wheel in the front, Anna,
00:43:45it's difficult to see why they wouldn't want to change that anyway.
00:43:49He might just make back of the grid.
00:43:53Yeah, okay, so the pack leaves.
00:43:59He's just going to make it at the back of this.
00:44:01He'll have to start from the back of the grid.
00:44:03We start the warm-up laps.
00:44:05Yep.
00:44:06And, yeah, let's get a grid up and show you how this one is going to pan out.
00:44:13Skinner then is on pole from Bradley Ray and Storm Stacey third.
00:44:16We know how strong Storm is from the lights out.
00:44:18Fraser Rogers heads row two from Iden and Kent.
00:44:21Both Christian and Danny will be hoping for a podium.
00:44:24The two teammates, Bridewell and Irwin, are seventh and eighth ahead of Max Cook.
00:44:27Then it's McPhee heading row four from Leon Haslam and Josh Brooks.
00:44:31Further back, Nesbitt, Jackson are on row five.
00:44:35The two teammates.
00:44:36Kyle Ryd will not start from 15.
00:44:38He'll have to start from the back of the grid.
00:44:40But heading row six is Reading.
00:44:41Then it's Hedger, who's going to be tired before this race has even started after a marathon.
00:44:46Then Scott Swan, Kerr, Vancey Kelris and Davey Todd on row seven.
00:44:50Jamie Davis starting from 20 seconds.
00:44:53Take three, James.
00:44:55Here we go.
00:44:56Yep.
00:44:57The only thing I'd say is conditions do look to be getting slightly better.
00:45:03Still lying water but nothing like the amount we've seen.
00:45:08And actually no rain falling at the minute.
00:45:10We know how quick this place kind of dries out.
00:45:13No, it's not going to get dry, fully dry, bare any stretch.
00:45:17But there will be a drying line by the end of this if we don't get any more rain.
00:45:20In the championship, Bradley Ray is 41 points ahead of Kyle Ryd,
00:45:24who we now know has got to start from the back of the grid.
00:45:26Yeah, this is a weekend when he's not been really good in the wet anyway.
00:45:30He's going to struggle to get past people.
00:45:32Brad Ray, we know, and he showed it already.
00:45:35He'll still go for it.
00:45:36I mean, he doesn't have to win this race to increase his championship lead.
00:45:40But if he's in a position to do it, he certainly will.
00:45:42Or will it be a win for Rory Skinner?
00:45:45He's been on the podium in two of the races so far this weekend on home soil.
00:45:51He's getting very close to the top three in the championship as well.
00:45:55Will Storm get in the mix?
00:45:56Christian Hiddin has had some speed in the wet.
00:45:58Danny Kent, can he get his gloves off early to get tucked in?
00:46:02It's a 16-lap race.
00:46:05Kyle Ryd starting at the back of the grid.
00:46:07Rory Skinner starting from pole.
00:46:10And the tag under there of Fraser Rogers also to be considered.
00:46:13Heading row two.
00:46:18Round four of the BSB championship.
00:46:21Race three, take three.
00:46:23Yeah, man to watch in this one off the start.
00:46:25He's definitely stopped.
00:46:26Stacey left-hand side off front row.
00:46:28Watch him go.
00:46:29He'll have a go at this.
00:46:30Lord Stacey, number 79.
00:46:31Away we go.
00:46:33He didn't get a good launch.
00:46:34It's one of the worst starts he's had all season long.
00:46:37And Brad Ray, could you just, you just knew it, didn't you?
00:46:40He takes the lead into turn one ahead of Rory Skinner.
00:46:44And is he going to launch a move immediately?
00:46:47He is.
00:46:48Yeah, he is.
00:46:49Straight through.
00:46:50He's a bit wide on exit.
00:46:51Brad Ray will have that inside line.
00:46:52Well done, Rory.
00:46:53Yeah, and I've just felt he had to do that.
00:46:56Took a little bit of risk.
00:46:57Ran off line going down and into McIntyre's.
00:47:01Wow.
00:47:02Big moment there for Lee Jackson.
00:47:03Someone's off in the back, Brad.
00:47:04Yeah, there he is.
00:47:05Is that Jamie Davis?
00:47:06I think he's just crashed and gone down.
00:47:09I hope he's all right.
00:47:10Lee Jackson had a big moment himself.
00:47:12There's Kyle Ride.
00:47:13He's made his way through.
00:47:14Here comes Fraser Rodgers from fifth to third.
00:47:17He's got the inside line.
00:47:18Will he get his tack on to stops?
00:47:19Not quite.
00:47:20Not quite.
00:47:21And Christian Iden goes up into third place.
00:47:25It is Skinner.
00:47:27One thing you know about Fraser.
00:47:29He's gone up a quarter.
00:47:30That's always.
00:47:31A little bit of a wing and a pair there.
00:47:32Storm's face here.
00:47:34Max Cook's getting involved early on here as well.
00:47:36That's brilliant to see.
00:47:37Skinner leads.
00:47:38Said it found something in the first race.
00:47:41Did Max.
00:47:42Here he goes.
00:47:45Cheshire Moulding's Ducati rider.
00:47:47Rory Skinner doing what he did last time.
00:47:50Yellow flags here because of Jamie Davis' incident.
00:47:53And it's Brad Ray.
00:47:54Then it's green, yellow, green.
00:47:56That's Christian Iden.
00:47:57The yellow bike there.
00:47:58The tack Honda of Fraser Rodgers.
00:48:00And Max Cook number 30.
00:48:01Then Storm Stacey.
00:48:02He'll have them as well.
00:48:03He's up into eight.
00:48:04What shit.
00:48:05Fraser Rodgers here into the air pit.
00:48:07Yeah.
00:48:08He's in that battle for third.
00:48:10Not able to outbrake.
00:48:11No he's not.
00:48:12No he's not.
00:48:13Who is strong here.
00:48:14And not killed.
00:48:15Impressive Max.
00:48:16Max Cook here.
00:48:17He struggled all weekend.
00:48:19He was 14th in race one yesterday.
00:48:2015th earlier in the sprint.
00:48:21John McPhee as well up inside the top 10.
00:48:22We said earlier.
00:48:23He's having a good run.
00:48:24Can he end his weekend with a big smile?
00:48:25And again, Danny Kent needed to get going a little bit earlier there.
00:48:26Skinner immediately getting into the zone of 51.9 in these wet conditions is so fast.
00:48:30Early on it is yeah.
00:48:31That's that's getting straight down to some towns in it.
00:48:32Now Fraser Rodgers in fourth.
00:48:33Number 89.
00:48:34A rider who has written 56 BSB races without a podium.
00:48:38Christian, you just know.
00:48:39You've got a bit of work on here to defend him and watch.
00:48:42He's just got a good run.
00:48:43And again, he's got a good run.
00:48:44Can he end his weekend with a big smile?
00:48:45And again, Danny Kent needed to get going a little bit earlier there.
00:48:47Skinner immediately getting into the zone of 51.9 in these wet conditions is so fast.
00:48:50Early on it is yeah.
00:48:51That's that's getting straight down to some towns in it.
00:48:53Now Fraser Rodgers in fourth.
00:48:54Number 89.
00:48:55A rider who has ridden 56 BSB races without a podium.
00:49:00Christian, you just know you've got a bit of work on here
00:49:02to defend that third place
00:49:03because Fraser will not be leaving here without a good bite.
00:49:07Yeah, Christian, he's not shy and very brave,
00:49:10but you would think that it would be Fraser.
00:49:12We've got a ball of air outside.
00:49:13It's McPhee. I'm sure it's McPhee.
00:49:16Yeah, he's gone down there.
00:49:17I could see the Scottish flag on the helmet from a distance,
00:49:20and unfortunately, that just rounds up
00:49:22what has been a miserable weekend on home soil for John.
00:49:25Yeah.
00:49:27Let's see what happens here.
00:49:27It'll be drawn to end. It'll be breaks. Let's have a look.
00:49:29Yeah, that's, yeah, that's quite a lot.
00:49:32You can tell the speed at which it goes down,
00:49:34and that was asking quite a lot of that front end.
00:49:38Skinner, Ray, Eden, your top three.
00:49:42What a boost it would be for the AGM.
00:49:44Kaya, Karasaki, the still stock team,
00:49:46for Darren Fry, for Nigel Snook,
00:49:48and for Christian himself,
00:49:49if they could find themselves on the podium.
00:49:51But likewise, Tag Honda and Fraser Rogers.
00:49:55Yeah, and Max Cook as well,
00:49:56very much the sort of protégé of the team.
00:49:59You know, he's been with the team quite a long time now.
00:50:01They love him.
00:50:02They work with him.
00:50:02He's a really nice fella, is Max.
00:50:06I mean, it's good to see.
00:50:07Sometimes lacks a little bit of confidence
00:50:09in his own abilities,
00:50:10but that's why he's such a nice person.
00:50:12He needs to be less of a nice person at times.
00:50:14But just behind these guys,
00:50:18Storm Stacey struggling more than I thought he would actually.
00:50:21There he is.
00:50:21Yeah, I thought from the front row,
00:50:23he'd mentally, he'd have a right go at this.
00:50:26Just not really worked out the way he wanted it to.
00:50:30But again, Storm's a really safe rider.
00:50:31You look at him, he just,
00:50:33I don't want to jinx him,
00:50:35but traditionally, he's safe.
00:50:36He doesn't drop off the bike so much.
00:50:38And if you just haven't got that feel in these conditions,
00:50:41you feel like you're gonna.
00:50:42You feel like the tiniest mistake
00:50:44could end up in a reasonable crash.
00:50:46So you see, he's difficult.
00:50:48It's not so easy in these conditions
00:50:49if you're not confident.
00:50:51It's a turnaround there for Leon Haslam as well,
00:50:53up in sixth place,
00:50:54because he finished 13th yesterday.
00:50:55He was eighth this morning in the sprint.
00:50:59I know he's had a couple of hard weekends
00:51:02at Knock Hill in the past, Leon Haslam.
00:51:04Not a lot in it,
00:51:05but Skinner still quickest on that last lap.
00:51:08Bradley Ray, though,
00:51:10James is not gonna stick his neck out too far here
00:51:13and take a big risk.
00:51:14When you've built up,
00:51:15when you've won as many races as he has
00:51:17and you've built up this big championship lead,
00:51:19you're not gonna want to kiss goodbye
00:51:21to 16 points, are you?
00:51:23Well, even when you've got Shane Byrne
00:51:25telling you every 10 seconds
00:51:27that he's the only one
00:51:28that's ever won nine on the bounce.
00:51:30True enough.
00:51:30Yes, you are.
00:51:31Take a risk, Brad.
00:51:35No, you're not.
00:51:36You're dead right.
00:51:37He's not.
00:51:37I think he's just gonna settle down,
00:51:39get into some reasonable lap times.
00:51:41He knows he can do the times,
00:51:43but if somebody's gonna take a risk
00:51:44and want to win a little bit more
00:51:47and risk it a little bit more,
00:51:48well, probably not gonna go with him.
00:51:51That's Richard Kerr, number five,
00:51:52on the Rocket B&W,
00:51:54of course, Michael Averty's team,
00:51:56with Kyle Ryder who started from the back of the grid.
00:52:00Yeah, look, he's just in front.
00:52:01There, look, with his new helmet on.
00:52:03Brooks is just behind this group as well,
00:52:05which is unusual because he was fastest
00:52:06in warm-up this morning.
00:52:07Yeah, and loves these conditions.
00:52:09So, I'm a bit bemused about that,
00:52:12unless he's had a moment that we've not seen, perhaps.
00:52:14Could have got caught up in something.
00:52:16Something easy to do around, not kill.
00:52:20Kyle Ryder trying just to get a point.
00:52:22As we said earlier,
00:52:24they all count towards the end of the season.
00:52:30Just behind Kyle,
00:52:31you've got Brooks and Scott Swan.
00:52:35Over the line here, though,
00:52:36and an increasing disadvantage at 51.1.
00:52:40Look at this, then, replay for Brad Ray,
00:52:46who's had a little warning.
00:52:48That was a little warning, yeah.
00:52:49He controlled that really well,
00:52:50but it'll just sort of reinforce the fact
00:52:52that he's pushing on.
00:52:54And Rory looks really good.
00:52:56He does, yep.
00:52:57Agreed.
00:52:58He's done stacks of laps,
00:52:59as you would imagine,
00:53:00around this circuit at Not Kill.
00:53:02Yeah, I mean, Rory lives up the road in Perth
00:53:05and comes here for fun quite a lot.
00:53:08The circuit loves having him,
00:53:09and he can just about do what he wants here,
00:53:12to be honest.
00:53:13The circuit has always supported Scottish riders
00:53:15in quite a big way,
00:53:16and that's a good thing.
00:53:17He's the only kind of motorsport place they've got,
00:53:20only short circuit they've got in Scotland, really.
00:53:23And they look after their men to Not Kill.
00:53:26And it comes in all sorts of stuff,
00:53:28two strokes, all sorts of old bikes with Rory.
00:53:30He's in a run at the moment
00:53:31of four podiums in the last six races.
00:53:33And remember, one of the races
00:53:34he wasn't on the podium,
00:53:35there was a mechanical
00:53:35where he could have been on it.
00:53:37So, a fantastic run for him.
00:53:38This is the fight for the final podium place, though.
00:53:43You're looking there at Fraser Rogers and Max Cook
00:53:45with Christian Hiddin just up ahead of them.
00:53:47Max Cook had a little bit of a think about that
00:53:48down at McIntyre, didn't he?
00:53:51He certainly did.
00:53:52That nine of 16.
00:53:58Three-time...
00:53:59Oh, yeah, here we go.
00:54:00Here comes.
00:54:01Max Cook does move up into fourth.
00:54:03And this will be interesting.
00:54:04It's now Hiddin and Max Cook, third and fourth.
00:54:07Hiddin and Max best of mates.
00:54:09It's like almost a father and son team.
00:54:11They've got training together.
00:54:13And...
00:54:13Whoa!
00:54:16It can't...
00:54:16That was...
00:54:17Cheeky, but...
00:54:19It was cheeky, but...
00:54:20He made a stick.
00:54:20And you've got to...
00:54:21Yeah, exactly.
00:54:21You're going to get that in these conditions.
00:54:23Over the line we go, then.
00:54:25Start another one out front.
00:54:26The gap is 1.6.
00:54:28Bradley Ray has said,
00:54:29Rory, you've got this one.
00:54:30I don't know why three-time knock-kill winner
00:54:32Danny Buchan has just lumped
00:54:34the box of sweets in between
00:54:35is in the Coventry box here
00:54:36just to keep us energised.
00:54:38Yeah, that's it.
00:54:39Yep.
00:54:39Keep the sugar going in.
00:54:42Storm Stacey now, then.
00:54:43Number 79 in sixth
00:54:45ahead of Leon Haslam.
00:54:47Haslam closing in.
00:54:49I think getting passed by Cook
00:54:50has actually
00:54:51jeed Fraser Rogers up a little bit
00:54:54because this is a quick lap from him.
00:54:55He's catching...
00:54:56He's catching Christian.
00:54:58He knows that...
00:54:59He's got trouble if he doesn't.
00:55:00He doesn't.
00:55:01And this circuit and these conditions
00:55:03is such that
00:55:05you've got to pass or be passed.
00:55:06That's what it's like
00:55:07when you're in a group.
00:55:08Fraser also, James,
00:55:09is one of those riders
00:55:10who you just know
00:55:11if he won't want to go home
00:55:13and he's got a long way home,
00:55:14by the way,
00:55:15he won't want to go home
00:55:16without at least having
00:55:17attempted his podium.
00:55:18Yes.
00:55:19And here it comes right now.
00:55:20He's going for it.
00:55:21No, not quite close enough.
00:55:22And Fraser is unlikely
00:55:24to get as near as this.
00:55:25With all due respect,
00:55:26he's unlikely to get as near
00:55:28as he's to a podium
00:55:28very often.
00:55:30And he's up the inside
00:55:31into McIntyre's
00:55:32on the tag Honda.
00:55:33Christian,
00:55:33didn't know.
00:55:34Oh, retaliated immediately
00:55:36and that was brave.
00:55:37It was brave,
00:55:38but did you see
00:55:38he just took that dry air line
00:55:40and shoved Fraser
00:55:42out onto the wetter
00:55:42of the track.
00:55:44Just behind this trio
00:55:46of riders,
00:55:46Storm Stacey,
00:55:47he was quick
00:55:48on that last lap
00:55:49on the Batham's
00:55:50AGM BMW.
00:55:51Yeah, 1.9 seconds now.
00:55:54The gap between Skinner
00:55:55and Ray
00:55:55is lapping
00:55:56consistently quicker
00:55:58than your championship
00:55:59leader.
00:55:59Oh, Fraser Rogers
00:56:01holds that tight line
00:56:03and the two Kawasaki's
00:56:04almost touched as well.
00:56:05Can you not just tell
00:56:07there's a podium
00:56:07on offer here?
00:56:08Yeah, of course you can.
00:56:10Storm Stacey's loving it.
00:56:11He's just an inching closer
00:56:13every single time
00:56:14these guys engage.
00:56:15Yeah, he's settled, hasn't he?
00:56:17Let's have a look
00:56:17at this then.
00:56:18From the overhead,
00:56:21Christian ran a bit wide,
00:56:22Fraser went up the inside
00:56:23and that was just
00:56:24an opportunist
00:56:25kind of lunge
00:56:26from Cook.
00:56:29The two FS3 riders
00:56:30kiss knees
00:56:33as Storm Stacey
00:56:34gets closer again.
00:56:36Number 79.
00:56:37This is your fight
00:56:37for the podium,
00:56:38by the way, out front.
00:56:39Skinner now
00:56:40two and a half seconds up
00:56:41on Bradley Ray.
00:56:42Yeah, the only man quicker
00:56:43last lap round
00:56:44and Storm Stacey
00:56:45was your leader.
00:56:46Skinner,
00:56:4751-5
00:56:49for Storm.
00:56:50That's a quick lap.
00:56:50Max Cook
00:56:51up the inside
00:56:52of Christian Hiddin.
00:56:55That wasn't in the script,
00:56:56Christian.
00:56:57And they're side by side
00:56:58and they're having
00:56:59a few elbows there as well.
00:57:00They get along very well.
00:57:02Hiddin and Max Cook
00:57:03so there'll be a few smiles
00:57:04underneath the visors there.
00:57:05Yes, they will.
00:57:08Chopping it down now
00:57:09into turn one
00:57:09on lap 13 of 16,
00:57:11remember.
00:57:12Not long to go.
00:57:15Fraser Rogers
00:57:16in line here
00:57:17for his first ever
00:57:19BSB podium.
00:57:20Yeah.
00:57:21Like I said,
00:57:22there's no way
00:57:23he's going to get
00:57:24as near as he's often.
00:57:25That's Scott Swann
00:57:26and he's gone down.
00:57:27So yellow flag there,
00:57:28no overtaking.
00:57:29Northern Irishman
00:57:30just being helped away.
00:57:31Yep,
00:57:31the send my bag Honda
00:57:33been lifted
00:57:34out of the gravel.
00:57:35No easy task.
00:57:35Richard Kerr is also
00:57:39retired,
00:57:39we understand.
00:57:42Storm's face
00:57:43is getting a bit
00:57:43out of shape.
00:57:44Meanwhile,
00:57:44out front,
00:57:45Rory's going to
00:57:45number 11,
00:57:46Cheshire Moulding's
00:57:46to Cassie
00:57:47with a handsome lead.
00:57:48Managing this one well.
00:57:50Second for Bradley Ray,
00:57:51the championship leader.
00:57:52Fraser Rogers then
00:57:53and the Tag Honda team.
00:57:54There will be some
00:57:55celebrations
00:57:55if things stay the way
00:57:57they do now.
00:57:59Tag Honda
00:57:59have waited a while.
00:58:01Yeah,
00:58:01and the Tag team,
00:58:02they ran Yamaha
00:58:03for a long time.
00:58:04They've been in this
00:58:04championship a long time
00:58:05and supported it always.
00:58:07So you can't knock that.
00:58:09This is brilliant.
00:58:09However the conditions
00:58:10are to kind of,
00:58:11you know,
00:58:12make it happen
00:58:12and with it.
00:58:14The Winfield clan
00:58:15have got their fingers
00:58:16crossed there
00:58:17in the top left
00:58:18of your picture.
00:58:20Poised,
00:58:20ready to celebrate
00:58:21but there's a way
00:58:22to go yet.
00:58:22We're on lap 14
00:58:23of 16
00:58:24as Storm Stacey
00:58:25then goes through
00:58:26on Max Cook
00:58:27and moves up
00:58:27into fifth place.
00:58:28Come on Max
00:58:30and Storm
00:58:31no favourites here.
00:58:34Max is going to
00:58:34have another go
00:58:35as Storm
00:58:36up the inside.
00:58:37Gets he stopped.
00:58:40Meanwhile
00:58:40the Jaws music
00:58:41for Fraser Rogers
00:58:42this will feel like
00:58:43the longest lap
00:58:43and a bit
00:58:44of not kill
00:58:44he's ever had.
00:58:45Yeah,
00:58:45look at this.
00:58:47Christian Hiddin
00:58:47definitely
00:58:48woken up
00:58:49by the fact
00:58:49that his teammate
00:58:50passed him.
00:58:50He wouldn't like that.
00:58:52Storm's back through
00:58:53on Max Cook.
00:58:54Is Hiddin
00:58:54going to have a look
00:58:55into McIntyre's?
00:58:55He's not close enough.
00:58:58Max had a little look
00:59:00down at McIntyre's
00:59:01as well.
00:59:04Fraser Rogers
00:59:05who had to sit out
00:59:06from action
00:59:07for a year or two
00:59:08trying to find his way
00:59:09back into
00:59:10British Championship.
00:59:12Yeah,
00:59:12broke both his legs
00:59:13and still tried to ride.
00:59:14He's a brave lad.
00:59:15Murray Skinner
00:59:16has got one corner
00:59:18and one lap left
00:59:19to pick up his first win
00:59:20of 2025.
00:59:22Bradley Ray
00:59:22would increase
00:59:24his championship lead
00:59:25but who
00:59:25will join them
00:59:26on the podium.
00:59:27That one between
00:59:29Stacey and Cook
00:59:30will rumble
00:59:30all the way
00:59:31to the line.
00:59:31I think so.
00:59:32Fraser Rogers
00:59:32what can he do?
00:59:33Can he hold off
00:59:34the experience
00:59:35Christian Hiddin
00:59:35a race winner
00:59:36at Not Kill
00:59:36in the wet here.
00:59:38He's got 1.27 miles
00:59:40to try and make it
00:59:41for his first ever
00:59:42BSB podium
00:59:43through turn one.
00:59:45This is the first
00:59:46overtaking opportunity
00:59:47into McIntyre's
00:59:48Hiddin
00:59:49not close enough.
00:59:49Now it's gone
00:59:50for Christian
00:59:50that one.
00:59:52Next opportunity
00:59:52now he's getting
00:59:53a good run
00:59:54through the chicane
00:59:54and around Clarks
00:59:56and then attempt
00:59:57to move into
00:59:57the hairpin.
00:59:58Yeah I know
00:59:58he's closing up
00:59:59a glass.
01:00:00Fraser Rogers
01:00:03then.
01:00:03It's all in the
01:00:04palm of his hands.
01:00:05In the meantime
01:00:06out front
01:00:06Rory Skinner
01:00:07what a job he's
01:00:08done.
01:00:08What a job he's
01:00:09doing.
01:00:10The Cheshire Mouldings
01:00:10to Catty Ryder.
01:00:12He's in full flow
01:00:13at the moment.
01:00:14Home is where
01:00:14the heart is.
01:00:16Rory Skinner
01:00:17wins here
01:00:18at Not Kill
01:00:19ahead of Bradley
01:00:20Ray.
01:00:21Who's going to
01:00:21take the final
01:00:22podium spot?
01:00:24It looks like
01:00:24Tag Honda are
01:00:25going to have
01:00:25their moment
01:00:26and so will
01:00:27Fraser Rogers.
01:00:27He's on a BSB
01:00:28podium.
01:00:29Fraser takes third
01:00:30ahead of Christian
01:00:31Hiddin with
01:00:32Stacey in fifth.
01:00:34Wow there'll be
01:00:35some celebrations
01:00:36in the Tag Honda
01:00:37camp at the moment.
01:00:38Yes there you go.
01:00:38So pleased for
01:00:41him.
01:00:43Absolutely
01:00:43tremendous.
01:00:45There you can see
01:00:46the team celebrating.
01:00:47It's been a long
01:00:48wait for them.
01:00:50You know the team
01:00:51deserve it and
01:00:52Fraser deserves it.
01:00:54You've got to
01:00:54look conditions
01:00:55kind of made that
01:00:56happen or helped
01:00:57that happen but you
01:00:57still don't ride your
01:00:58bike.
01:00:59Easier to fall off
01:01:00in his position
01:01:02than do what he
01:01:03did so well done.
01:01:05Rory Skinner.
01:01:06Well what a run
01:01:07this is.
01:01:08Yep.
01:01:08Bradley Ray.
01:01:10He equals
01:01:10shaky's record but
01:01:11he doesn't better
01:01:12it.
01:01:12He won't mind that
01:01:13too much.
01:01:13He's extended his
01:01:14championshiply.
01:01:15There will be tears
01:01:16from this man.
01:01:17Fraser Rogers.
01:01:19He's been his
01:01:20airbags got off
01:01:21from celebrations.
01:01:23Yeah.
01:01:24Taking the
01:01:24chest protector out
01:01:27to give himself a
01:01:28little bit more
01:01:28run.
01:01:28Once the airbags
01:01:29gone off until it
01:01:30deflates after a
01:01:31couple of minutes
01:01:31you can't breathe.
01:01:33It's that tight.
01:01:34I've got to say
01:01:36it's quite emotional
01:01:37seeing this because
01:01:38we all know how much
01:01:38Fraser's been through.
01:01:40He's got so much
01:01:41talent and he and
01:01:44Newton took a punt on
01:01:45him to bring him back
01:01:45into the championship a
01:01:46few years ago.
01:01:47Tag Honda then said
01:01:48look come on let's see
01:01:49what you've got and
01:01:50he's been trying and
01:01:51then he broke his legs
01:01:52in a bad way.
01:01:53He was racing at the
01:01:54back end of last year
01:01:55with broken legs.
01:01:56He shouldn't have been
01:01:57out there.
01:01:57I don't know why he
01:01:58was doing that but
01:01:59yeah brave lad.
01:02:01And Rory Skinner as
01:02:02well who's been
01:02:03through a bit of
01:02:04adversity will be
01:02:07loving this.
01:02:09He and Storm
01:02:10Stacey putting on a
01:02:12show here to the
01:02:13fans who stuck by
01:02:16the racing here
01:02:17today despite the
01:02:18weather.
01:02:19Yeah that's been
01:02:20worth it for them.
01:02:21It really has.
01:02:22They've seen their
01:02:22man take glory.
01:02:25Dare I say
01:02:27based on the last
01:02:28couple of rounds
01:02:28kind of made
01:02:30himself the new
01:02:31contender to
01:02:32Brad Ray in the
01:02:32championship.
01:02:33Yeah this wasn't
01:02:34just a wet weather
01:02:35thing was it?
01:02:36No.
01:02:38Brad Ray there
01:02:38P2 but it's still
01:02:40win there look how
01:02:41happy Steve Plater
01:02:42is.
01:02:42Skinner into
01:02:43Park Furman.
01:02:45Brilliant job and
01:02:47yeah the happiest
01:02:49man is definitely
01:02:51Fraser Rogers.
01:02:53do you know what he
01:03:01deserved that as well.
01:03:02He had two red flags
01:03:04and he has to go
01:03:05through that.
01:03:06You have to do it
01:03:07three times yeah.
01:03:08Brilliant from Rory
01:03:08that.
01:03:09Look at this.
01:03:14There's his mum Sarah
01:03:16who's been through it
01:03:18all with him.
01:03:19He came through of
01:03:20course fab racing and
01:03:22mini bikes.
01:03:22He was the Aprilia
01:03:23super team champion in
01:03:242008 and you can vote
01:03:26now for your rider of
01:03:28the round.
01:03:28There's your QR code.
01:03:30Might be a tricky one
01:03:30after that race.
01:03:31Absolutely.
01:03:32Yeah.
01:03:33These are the scenes
01:03:34that you love.
01:03:35All of the hard work
01:03:36finally pays off.
01:03:39Yeah Fraser very much
01:03:39tipped to be a Grand
01:03:41Prix Hulk in his youth.
01:03:43Came through with Scott
01:03:44Reading and others
01:03:45that were our
01:03:47brightest hopes as
01:03:49teenagers.
01:03:50Well done mate.
01:03:51Well we'll hear from
01:03:52them shortly.
01:03:53Let's get results and
01:03:54standings in for you
01:03:55for the time being.
01:03:56Rory Skinner then
01:03:56wins this first race of
01:03:582025 and based on what
01:03:59we've seen in the last
01:04:00couple of rounds
01:04:00probably not the last.
01:04:02Brad Ray second.
01:04:04His winning run ends
01:04:05here.
01:04:06Fraser Rogers then his
01:04:07first ever BSP
01:04:08podium in the 57th time
01:04:09of asking ahead of
01:04:10Christian Iden.
01:04:11Good job for Iden
01:04:12there and his
01:04:13teammate Cook.
01:04:13They were sandwiched
01:04:14between them Stacey
01:04:15Leon Haslam 7th
01:04:16Andy Irwin 8th
01:04:17then Reading and
01:04:18Nesbitt.
01:04:21There were points also
01:04:22on offer for Kyle
01:04:23Ride.
01:04:24How important will
01:04:24they be at the end
01:04:25of the season from
01:04:26the back of the grid
01:04:2611th for him ahead of
01:04:27Danny Kent and Tommy
01:04:28Bridewell.
01:04:29Lee Jackson was 14th
01:04:30the final point went
01:04:31to Luke Hedger who
01:04:33got over the line ahead
01:04:34of Brooks.
01:04:35In the championship
01:04:36then heading home to
01:04:37Brands Hatch Brad
01:04:39Ray in a commanding
01:04:40position despite finishing
01:04:42second there.
01:04:4252 up on Kyle
01:04:44Ride but look who's
01:04:45moved up to third
01:04:46overall in the
01:04:47standings.
01:04:47Joint on points with
01:04:48Leon Haslam.
01:04:49Brilliant weekend for
01:04:51Rory Skinner.
01:04:51He's third ahead of
01:04:52Haslam.
01:04:52Bridewell fifth then
01:04:53Brooks, Kent, Irwin,
01:04:55Storm Stacey and
01:04:56Christian Iden.
01:05:00And Fraser Rogers
01:05:01there 13th after his
01:05:03first ever BSP podium.
01:05:04He's one spot ahead of
01:05:05Andy Irwin.
01:05:06It's going to be an
01:05:13emotional park fair mate.
01:05:14Fraser Rogers good mate
01:05:15Scott Redding even coming
01:05:16over to celebrate.
01:05:17We'll get all the
01:05:18reaction in a couple of
01:05:19minutes.
01:05:19A masterful performance
01:05:30from the local boy Rory
01:05:31Skinner here at
01:05:32North Hill has not just
01:05:33sealed his first win of
01:05:34the season but thrust him
01:05:35right into this Benet's
01:05:36British Superbike
01:05:38Championship fight as
01:05:39well.
01:05:40We'll get his thoughts in
01:05:41just a moment but first
01:05:42up we've got it here from
01:05:43our third place finisher
01:05:44first ever BSP podium
01:05:46for Fraser Rogers.
01:05:48Fraser Rogers I came to
01:05:49find you earlier on
01:05:50because I was quite made
01:05:51up with the fact you got
01:05:51a fifth place race to
01:05:53there in the BSP you've
01:05:54just had your first BSP
01:05:55podium with a podium
01:05:56finishing third place.
01:05:57How are you feeling?
01:06:00That's your cue to talk.
01:06:01I just don't know what to
01:06:02say.
01:06:03I'm crying like a baby.
01:06:06I wish my girls were here
01:06:07to see it.
01:06:08I can't thank the team
01:06:09enough.
01:06:10My sponsors everyone
01:06:11honestly mate I don't even
01:06:13know.
01:06:14I'm just crying like a
01:06:14child but I'm just
01:06:16on to the next one.
01:06:17Keep my feet on the
01:06:18ground.
01:06:19I know it's a wet
01:06:20podium.
01:06:21I'll take it when I can
01:06:22get it.
01:06:23We're making steps in the
01:06:24dry.
01:06:24We are coming.
01:06:25I am getting better.
01:06:26I know I keep saying it
01:06:27but I am coming and I am
01:06:29improving and I cannot
01:06:30thank the whole tag racing
01:06:31team.
01:06:32They've had a rough few
01:06:32years the same as me and
01:06:33to repay them with a
01:06:34podium is just unbelievable.
01:06:38Apart from my daughter
01:06:39being born it's the best
01:06:40day of my life.
01:06:41Awesome performance
01:06:42Fraser.
01:06:43Congratulations.
01:06:43See you at Bratton.
01:06:44Thank you so much.
01:06:45Right second place then
01:06:46for the first time in
01:06:47eight races Bradley Ray
01:06:49you've been topped.
01:06:51Fantastic performance
01:06:52points make prizes
01:06:53obviously team
01:06:54well it's going to be
01:06:55your team mate Kyle
01:06:55not your team mate
01:06:56anymore but Kyle had to
01:06:59start from the back
01:06:59there so points make
01:07:00prizes I guess in that
01:07:01one.
01:07:01Yeah definitely.
01:07:01Obviously three restarts is
01:07:04difficult we went stop
01:07:06went stop went stop but
01:07:07yeah Rory was always keen
01:07:09to pass as soon as
01:07:10possible and that last
01:07:13restart he pushed on a
01:07:14lot.
01:07:15I tried to stay with him
01:07:17but I could see the way he
01:07:19was riding he wanted that
01:07:21winner a lot.
01:07:22It was either win it or
01:07:23win it for him today in that
01:07:24race so I tried to stay as
01:07:27long as possible I could but
01:07:28having a few few moments and
01:07:30decided to to bring it
01:07:32home I had a big gap to
01:07:33third so yeah played it
01:07:35smart and brought home
01:07:36second.
01:07:37Fantastic performance
01:07:38well done Bradley.
01:07:39Cheers mate thank you.
01:07:40Right very very pleased to
01:07:42say Rory I asked you
01:07:43earlier on I said third
01:07:45yesterday second this
01:07:46morning can we go one
01:07:47better this afternoon
01:07:47you've delivered for the
01:07:49Knock Hill fans
01:07:50congratulations on a
01:07:51PSP win.
01:07:51Thank you Sheiky it's
01:07:53honestly I'm kind of lost
01:07:54for words in a minute
01:07:54the emotional wall that
01:07:56broke down there after I
01:07:57crossed the line it's been
01:07:58a tough 12 months since we
01:07:59were last here in my last
01:08:00win so oh man to do that
01:08:02for the boys at Cheshire
01:08:03Mo and Jakarta you know
01:08:04they've been with me through
01:08:05thick and thin you know
01:08:06last year breaking my leg
01:08:07and having a really tough
01:08:08end to the year as well
01:08:09they stuck by me they knew
01:08:10they believed in me even
01:08:11when I didn't believe in
01:08:12myself and to yeah have a
01:08:14triple podium weekend be on
01:08:15the top set of the podium
01:08:16in the last race honestly I'm
01:08:19I'm quite emotional about it
01:08:20so Rory it was an absolute
01:08:22performance well perfect
01:08:24performance should I say I
01:08:24can't even speak myself
01:08:25what a great ride many
01:08:27congratulations from us
01:08:28thank you very much Sheiky
01:08:29cheers yeah well deserved
01:08:32and for the fans here as
01:08:34well at Knock Hill who
01:08:34braved the conditions
01:08:35they've come up on their
01:08:36bikes we passed them on
01:08:37the way into the circuit
01:08:38this morning they've come
01:08:39from all over Scotland
01:08:40James couldn't have a
01:08:41better reward couldn't
01:08:42they?
01:08:42no they really couldn't
01:08:43fantastic and he had to
01:08:44ride for it and you know
01:08:45the fact that he started
01:08:46to believe in himself with
01:08:47all the stars and then even
01:08:49though he made two really
01:08:50good stats and got in front
01:08:51you did wonder if he didn't
01:08:53make that start and didn't
01:08:54get in front would Brad be
01:08:55to put a bit of time into
01:08:56him and get into his rhythm
01:08:57quicker not so really
01:08:59impressed with the way that
01:09:00Rory wanted to get to the
01:09:02front and wanted to have a
01:09:02go at this absolutely
01:09:03brilliant and disrupt Brad's
01:09:05rhythm which is effectively
01:09:06what he did with that that
01:09:07pass catching him out early
01:09:08doors James yeah very much
01:09:10then he sort of pushed on
01:09:11he really kind of put it
01:09:13back on Brad right you know
01:09:14are you gonna how much you
01:09:15gonna sort of dig in yeah you
01:09:16know but he was really really
01:09:18neat this is the start you can
01:09:20see this is like the we have
01:09:21these the third of the
01:09:22restarts and Bradley muscles
01:09:24it through there you think
01:09:25okay this one's gonna go but
01:09:27watch Rory here he just leaves
01:09:29it feeds it through and it just
01:09:31really showed his hunger yeah
01:09:33and that was a little bit of
01:09:34justice because Brad did that
01:09:35exact same thing to him
01:09:37yesterday so I mean that's
01:09:38that's perfect he's kind of
01:09:40kind of all right now equal
01:09:41Fraser Rogers first podium
01:09:43James we've known Fraser a
01:09:44long time as Steve said he's
01:09:46he's long been mooted as a huge
01:09:48talent I think it was you
01:09:49saying actually James yeah and
01:09:50and he's such a good lad and
01:09:52he's worked so hard for this
01:09:53real nice lad you can't not like
01:09:55his commitment you've got I mean
01:09:56motorcycle racing is about
01:09:58bravery commitment for me and
01:10:00skill as well but you know when
01:10:01you're prepared to stick your neck
01:10:02out he's never gonna get nearer
01:10:04for a while I don't think even
01:10:06though he says he's coming in the
01:10:06dry actually this was his best
01:10:09chance he saw it he knew it was
01:10:11his best chance and he took it
01:10:12with one I think of everybody on
01:10:14track he would take him more
01:10:15risk than anybody else you need
01:10:16the skill but you got to take
01:10:17risk and he had to ride it
01:10:18didn't he you know Christian is a
01:10:20hard man to beat on any day in
01:10:22these conditions Christian was
01:10:24desperate for podium as well
01:10:25this is him coming up to take
01:10:27that third position from
01:10:28Christian and then his teammate
01:10:30does a little sneaky one as
01:10:31well you see Max Cook having to
01:10:33go but it's so tough for
01:10:35Fraser Rogers because all the
01:10:36adversity's been through breaking
01:10:38his legs getting knocked out
01:10:39you know trying to come back
01:10:40and then it not going right so
01:10:42for him to get that third
01:10:43brilliant and for the whole
01:10:45tag on the team there have even
01:10:46been moments when he's
01:10:47considered walking away from the
01:10:48sport altogether or he's not
01:10:49had the options and there he is
01:10:51look on a BSB podium for the
01:10:53first time let's hope there are
01:10:55more as well of course Brad Ray
01:10:59second then he consolidates his
01:11:00lead at the top of the
01:11:01championship but fellas Rory
01:11:03Skinner as I said he's not that
01:11:06far better 70 points is not that
01:11:08much at this stage this isn't
01:11:11just a wet lucky win his own
01:11:13round because it knows the
01:11:14circuit none of that you see
01:11:15what's been happening since
01:11:16Donington he's used to that
01:11:18back now the team knows that
01:11:19running that thing is only going
01:11:21to get better and he's only got
01:11:22to get more this big growing and
01:11:24growing and growing as well that's
01:11:25right and it's also it's proper
01:11:27foundations for him to work from
01:11:28yeah that they team have got to
01:11:30know the bike he's really loving
01:11:32that to Gatti as well it's a great
01:11:34motorcycle they're starting to get
01:11:35the best out of it and I like the
01:11:37way he's just slowly built built
01:11:38built sometimes you feel oh come on
01:11:40Rory but like actually this is why
01:11:42because now after this great
01:11:44foundation he's there yeah you know
01:11:46he's we're one today and you know
01:11:48he's not as James said he's not
01:11:49going anywhere this is now
01:11:50I think so I think so cuz I mean
01:12:01you would see that he said don't
01:12:03write Kyle off he knows he knows I
01:12:06ride a circuit and it didn't like
01:12:08these conditions had a rough drop
01:12:09here last year so he'll be back
01:12:13all right some extra little bit of
01:12:22silverware there for the lads up on
01:12:23the podium but a very special moment
01:12:25for Rory Skinner and for everybody
01:12:27here at brave the conditions at
01:12:29Nork Hill
01:12:30что-то перенские на 235-148

01:12:57One of the best anthems in the world rings out here at Norquil.
01:13:14The celebrations can start for Rory Skinner and the Scottish fans here at Norquil.
01:13:18BSB will be back in three weeks' time at Brands Hatch,
01:13:21but still one more race to show you here at Norquil.
01:13:30And the bike's already out on track for the sport bike.
01:13:34So Brands Hatch in three weeks' time and rolling down there with a big smile on his face, no doubt.
01:13:40Down to, back towards more familiar territory will be Fraser Rogers with a BSB podium in the pocket.
01:13:47Fraser, how does that feel?
01:13:48Now it's, yeah, it's sunk in a little bit now.
01:13:51I've composed myself and calmed back down.
01:13:54And when I crossed the line, I don't really remember finishing the race.
01:13:57I don't remember being on the podium until about now.
01:14:00And it's an incredible feeling.
01:14:03The Brandsburg Superbikes is a top, top level for me.
01:14:06Like, this is where my career is probably going to be.
01:14:11I'm not going to be going anywhere else.
01:14:13And to get my first podium, and I know it's in the rain, but it means the world to me.
01:14:17And it just gives me a little mental boost.
01:14:19And, yeah, it's nice of my mates in that area.
01:14:21Yeah, it gives me a little mental boost going to Brands.
01:14:24And I love Brands.
01:14:25And I worked hard for that.
01:14:26The team gave me a mega bike.
01:14:28I'm rambling on.
01:14:28I think one of the reasons it's a popular win, and it's popular in the paddock as well, amongst your peers,
01:14:35is because you've been through so much and you never stop trying.
01:14:38You're always prepared to take a risk if you think it's worth it.
01:14:41And you had to race for that, lad.
01:14:43Yeah.
01:14:44Three times, I think.
01:14:45Yeah.
01:14:46I'm taking that as three podiums.
01:14:49But, no, it's, like I say, it's been a lot of work.
01:14:51I've had a lot of bad injuries, a lot of bad luck.
01:14:54I was rideless for two years.
01:14:55Yeah.
01:14:56And the tag guys have picked me up and kind of remoulded me into this person that I am now.
01:15:00And I'm not arrogant, but I'm confident.
01:15:02And I know my abilities.
01:15:04And I keep saying it's a wet podium, but I'm going to take it.
01:15:06I want to be there in the dry, and that's the next step for me.
01:15:08Yeah, I mean, listen, with two laps to go, you had Hilden to pass.
01:15:11You know, you were getting hassled.
01:15:13Did you think you could do it then, or was it like, right, I am doing this, whatever?
01:15:16I was on the podium or in the gravel today.
01:15:18Especially after the red flags, I'd done it.
01:15:21And for me, if I'd have got pipped to fourth, I think I'd have been more devastated than I would.
01:15:24Then probably cried more than I did when I got on the podium.
01:15:27But, like I say, it's just, it's been an absolutely amazing weekend.
01:15:31I was even faster than the dry, to be fair.
01:15:33And since Netton, I've been pretty competitive.
01:15:35So, let's just keep going in this direction.
01:15:37Feet on the ground and just keep progressing.
01:15:39Well, listen, not only is it popular within the paddock, with your peers and mechanics
01:15:44and everybody that I've been speaking to saw it, but it's also popular with the punters
01:15:48because you are Fraser Rogers, rider of the round, son.
01:15:52And I tell you, that doesn't, it's only a small award in terms of intrinsic value.
01:15:57But, mate, in 20 years' time, you'll look back at that on your wall and that'll mean something.
01:16:01No, that actually, that means a lot.
01:16:03So, other than the people in the paddock, obviously the fans are always there
01:16:09and they've always supported me, but I don't think they know the extent of what I've been through
01:16:11like you guys do.
01:16:13The leg injuries, the arm injuries, the lack of rides.
01:16:16It's taken a lot.
01:16:17And the podium is one thing, but this is a cherry on the cake for me.
01:16:20And I appreciate every single fan that's voted.
01:16:22I really appreciate it.
01:16:23And, yeah, long may this run of form continue because I don't want it to end.
01:16:28You had to beat the Scottish vote as well today because Rory Skinner and Brad Ray the form
01:16:32that he was in this weekend.
01:16:33I said this to Rory, I said, what a time to get my first podium
01:16:37because the Scottish were going absolutely mental beneath the podium.
01:16:40We couldn't even hear the national anthem.
01:16:41But the fans that were down there, the Scottish fans that have braved this weather,
01:16:45incredible, unbelievable, best day of my life.
01:16:47It's fantastic, fantastic.
01:16:49Good luck, Fraser, enjoy the ride home.
01:16:50Thank you so much.
01:16:51Well done, we'll see you in France Hatch in three weeks' time.
01:16:54And as Fraser was saying there, what a battle it was for that third place.
01:16:57He had to fight tooth and nail with the two FS3 Kawasaki boys,
01:17:00Christian Nidden and Max Cook, who was shaky.
01:17:04Right, down here in pit lane, I've got two for the price of one.
01:17:07I'm at FS3 Kawasaki, Max Cook, Christian Nidden.
01:17:09Christian, great four for you.
01:17:10Max, a strong sixth place.
01:17:12But the battle between the two of you looked like a load of fun.
01:17:15How was it?
01:17:15It was good fun.
01:17:16I mean, I got into third place.
01:17:17And to be honest with you, I just tensed up a little bit
01:17:19and allowed Fraser to come through.
01:17:20And I relaxed again once he came through.
01:17:22But then Max was nibbling at me and we touched once down at the hairpin
01:17:26and then we touched again once over start finish.
01:17:28And he knew he was having me towards the grass.
01:17:31I seen it in his eye.
01:17:31I said when he came back, I told him.
01:17:33And he's like, hmm.
01:17:34So, no, it's all good.
01:17:35Obviously, I'm happy because I beat him.
01:17:36So that's all right.
01:17:37But, no, it was a strong, strong ride for me for sure
01:17:40because yesterday was an absolute disaster, you know,
01:17:42crashing on the third corner.
01:17:44So, yeah, to have a ninth from 18th on the grid in the first race
01:17:48and then to work our way up to fourth, just missed the podium.
01:17:50But, you know, that's a real good result.
01:17:52And big thanks to the AJ and Steel Stock Kawasaki squad
01:17:54because they've been working really hard.
01:17:56And it's nice to see a little bit of reward for all the work we've been playing.
01:17:59And, Max, that looked like a great fun race for you.
01:18:02Obviously, as Christian said, a good battle between the pair of you.
01:18:04You know, you were coming on strong there towards the end.
01:18:07How was it for you?
01:18:08Yeah, I really enjoyed the race, to be fair.
01:18:10Nokia hasn't treated me very well over the years
01:18:12and that was a really solid race to finish on.
01:18:15You know, battling with Christian was amazing.
01:18:18You know, someone I consider close friends as well as a teammate, you know.
01:18:21I think I had a big smile on my helmet, you know,
01:18:23obviously when he gave me a nudge, I knew what he was thinking.
01:18:26But, you know, fair play to him.
01:18:27Obviously, he beat me today, which isn't going to happen next time.
01:18:31So, yeah, no, it was a really good race overall.
01:18:33And, no, it was brilliant.
01:18:35You know, we both got solid results as well.
01:18:37Just to say a big thank you to AJ and Kawasaki.
01:18:40You know, it's been a real tricky weekend, you know,
01:18:42coming all up here.
01:18:43And when things don't go to plan, it can be a long drive home.
01:18:46So, no, just a big thank you to them boys.
01:18:49Talking of AJ and Steel Stock Kawasaki,
01:18:50we've got a team boss here, Nigel Snook, FS3 team owner.
01:18:53Team manager, whatever you want to call yourself nowadays.
01:18:55Yeah, all of those.
01:18:55How was that, mate?
01:18:56It was fun.
01:18:57We have had a difficult weekend,
01:18:59and suddenly it all started to happen.
01:19:01We thought, first red flag, good starts,
01:19:05and then it's going to go wrong the next time.
01:19:07But they both rode absolutely brilliantly.
01:19:09My heart rate, when they started nudging each other,
01:19:12was quite high.
01:19:13But as you can see, they're actually very good buddies.
01:19:16So, it's a friendly fight,
01:19:18and we've put ourselves in a good place
01:19:20to head off to Brandt's Hatch.
01:19:22Well, we're looking forward to catching up
01:19:23with the three of you there,
01:19:24and well done on a great weekend.
01:19:26Cheers, Shane.
01:19:26Yeah, thanks very much.
01:19:27Thanks, Shane.
01:19:28Yeah, a good, hard, clean race
01:19:31between two guys with a lot of respect for each other.
01:19:33Yeah, very much,
01:19:34and you could really see it
01:19:35in a couple of real tight moments,
01:19:37but they both wanted it.
01:19:38They're both going for the podium.
01:19:40It was all clean,
01:19:41and actually, you know,
01:19:42they've got a great relationship with teammates,
01:19:43haven't they?
01:19:44Yeah, they're really good mates.
01:19:45I actually said to Christian
01:19:46on my way back through Pittle,
01:19:47and I said,
01:19:48that woke you up when your teammate come past.
01:19:50He says, he did, he did.
01:19:51They're always a really good rivalry between them.
01:19:53They're good mates.
01:19:54And that's good as well.
01:19:55It gives you, you know,
01:19:56Max has got loads he can learn from Christian,
01:19:58and I think it keeps Christian,
01:19:59you know, hungry.
01:20:01You know, I'm really pleased with the team as well.
01:20:03You wouldn't necessarily choose Kawasaki.
01:20:05I don't think it's the most competitive thing.
01:20:07Sorry, Darren and Nigel,
01:20:08but I don't think it is,
01:20:09and they deserve that.
01:20:10The team worked really well together.
01:20:12Never any fallouts in that garage amongst anybody,
01:20:14so good on them.
01:20:16Quick final thought from Not Kill, James.
01:20:18I mean, good thing with them.
01:20:20We've got, yeah, obviously,
01:20:21great to see the Scottish contingent
01:20:24sort of flying their flag at home,
01:20:26really chuffed for Rory.
01:20:27I think Brad is still looking like,
01:20:29you know, he's the man, the man to beat.
01:20:31I think Carl's got a little bit to think about
01:20:33coming out this weekend.
01:20:34Yeah, okay.
01:20:35So Skinner, a winner at his home round here
01:20:38at Not Kill then,
01:20:39but next up we go to the backyard
01:20:41of the championship leader.
01:20:45Right, I've come down to the Hager PBM garage here.
01:20:48We've got team manager, owner, Jordan Bird,
01:20:51and new replacement rider, Scott Redding.
01:20:54Scott, first weekend back in BSB since 2019.
01:20:57Been some positives from it.
01:20:59How was it, mate?
01:21:00Yeah, today was quite chaos with all the red flags.
01:21:02Trying to understand the bike in these wet conditions.
01:21:06It's not easy.
01:21:06Also, about the traction control.
01:21:08I was working on it in that last race that we did.
01:21:11I managed to find some speed.
01:21:12The team's been mega, very accommodating for me,
01:21:15understanding that I can't just jump on
01:21:16and be flying straight away.
01:21:18We've had inconsistent track time this weekend,
01:21:20so it's been as hard as it could have got for me, really.
01:21:22But I got in the races.
01:21:24I got stuck in.
01:21:25I did the best I could do every time I was out there.
01:21:27Bearing in mind, I need to race Superbike next week.
01:21:30So there was like a 10% in my head
01:21:32where I thought, don't do nothing too silly.
01:21:35But I'm very grateful for this opportunity
01:21:37to be here back in PBM at Not Kill.
01:21:40Jordan, obviously, Scott's rode for you guys before.
01:21:44Last time he rode for you, you had a championship.
01:21:46What's your thoughts on trying to get this man back in
01:21:48for Brands after some more rounds whilst Glenn's out?
01:21:51And also, how's Glenn doing?
01:21:53You got any updates on Glenn's condition?
01:21:55So Glenn's at home now.
01:21:56He's doing really well.
01:21:56Probably doing a bit too much at the minute.
01:21:59So I think we need to rein him back
01:22:00and just take the recovery every day as it comes.
01:22:02So, yeah, at the minute, we don't have a time frame for him.
01:22:05So for us as a team, we're just going week by week.
01:22:07We'll see, you know, we've got a couple of weeks off
01:22:09until Brands, see what's going on.
01:22:11And, yeah, we'll have someone on the bike at some point.
01:22:14Scott, one more question for you.
01:22:16Obviously, Donington Park World Superbike next weekend.
01:22:18We're going to be there with TNT.
01:22:20Round after that is Brands Hatch GP,
01:22:22a round you've done very well at before.
01:22:23How much would you like to be out at Brands with PBM again?
01:22:27Yeah, I mean, it depends because we got hungry as well.
01:22:29I think it clashes with Brands.
01:22:31But Brands Hatch is a cool track.
01:22:33But, you know, my priority is to stay in World Superbike
01:22:36at the moment.
01:22:36And I'm contracted to do so.
01:22:38Just helping Jordan out this weekend at Knock Hill.
01:22:41So we'll see what the future brings.
01:22:43But if the races ain't clashing, I'm only a phone call away.
01:22:47But, of course, I wish Glenn to come back as soon as possible.
01:22:50If they do clash, can I get a ride as an ex-PBM rider?
01:22:53You're too expensive.
01:22:54On that note, right, thank you very much for having us.
01:22:59Scott, great to see you.
01:23:02She remembers only too well, doesn't she?
