With the government pushing for more control over online content, we asked people in Birmingham whether they support online censorship - and who they think should be responsible for deciding what’s safe to see.

00:01I mean, I'm against the Stop Online Safety Act, particularly with younger folks being
00:06able to vote and the fact that political content has been censored through it.
00:11That's my main concern.
00:13You can't restrict political information to 16- to 18-year-old voters.
00:20But I also don't necessarily trust the government to choose what we can and can't view.
00:25It's not necessarily about adult or erotic content.
00:28It's about who is deciding what content is inappropriate and when does it cross into
00:32the political.
00:33For kids there needs to be more security for what they see.
00:38There's way too many kids getting bullied online at the moment.
00:43Cases of, you know, like teenagers committing suicide because they've been tricked into
00:47something.
00:48You know, it's terrible.
00:51I think pornography and stuff like that on the internet is a disgrace.
