Christmas food prices are rising. How do you plan to manage the costs of Christmas dinner this year? Would you change what you’d usually buy or skip the traditional meal?

00:00We usually save up all year, we put money away every month for Christmas so it's
00:05never normally an issue but yes it is more expensive but we just know that's
00:10going to happen. Well we go to the supermarket predominantly but this year
00:16we'll probably go to somewhere like Morrison's or Aldi rather than going to
00:22like the local butcher and spending a fortune and the local fruit and veg
00:25because the quality of those supermarkets are pretty good so that's how we'll get
00:29around it. I mean for me Christmas is quite a special event so you always just
00:33put a little bit aside every month so I suppose I'm quite anal in some ways that
00:38I'll always put some money into an account throughout the year and that will either
00:41go for prezzies or for cards or even things like postage now which is quite
00:44expensive so yeah so Christmas doesn't get budgeted particularly so it doesn't
00:49get spent on the spot it tends to be budgeted throughout the year so no there
00:53won't be any cutting down this year. But we understand and appreciate that
00:56everything has gone up in value. All costs have gone up.
