00:19the Steam and Evans the Song are talking about the Coral Society outing. So I thought then,

00:23if the weather is good, we could go over to Tuggin Beach again for the outing, like we did today.

00:29Oh, yes, that's fine. Let's do that then. Ivor will take us there. All right, then. Well,

00:35I'd better be off. Ivor will be wondering where I've got to.

00:43Ivor isn't here. Where did you leave him? You know where I left him. I left him here.

00:49Well, he's not here now, is he? No, Evan Evans, you are absolutely right. Ivor is not here.

00:59Hello there. Has Ivor got a new driver, Mr. Jones?

01:06Well, no, Mrs. Porty.

01:07I saw him only a few minutes ago, down by the signal box.

01:12Perhaps somebody has stolen him.

01:15Stolen him?

01:16Stolen him and made off.

01:18Come along. We must catch the robbers. Quick, jump in.

01:22Oh, but I doubt if anybody would. I mean...

01:24Jump in, you fool. The gangsters will be halfway to Cardiff by now.

01:43Oh, Jones, I thought you and Ivor were off to Tewin to fetch your bathing trunks.

01:47He has been stolen. A band of gangsters.

01:50They're going to melt him down and smuggle him out of the country.

01:54Oh, Mrs. Porty, never. You've been watching too much telly, welly.

01:57Gee up, Bluebell. There's not a moment to lose. Gee up, gee up. We're on the trail.

02:06Don't be too cross with him when you find him, will you?

02:17You know, Mrs. Porty, I don't think Ivor has been stolen. He would have blown his whistles.

02:27They buckled his brake levers with a sledgehammer and blindfolded him with a big sack.

02:37Well, thank goodness, that was all in Mrs. Porty's imagination.

02:49Ivor was standing on the embankment at Tewin Sands, at the very same place he'd stood that afternoon.

02:55Very quiet and still, he stood beside the empty beach, and whatever thoughts he was thinking, they were sad thoughts.

03:03One single dirty tear, welled up in his window, and fell onto the sleepers.

03:11There they are, then. Don't let them escape.

03:22Jones, you see to Ivor. Heavens, come with me. We'll cut off their escape.

03:28Weeping, is it, Ivor? I should think so, too.

03:35You know it's against regulations, going off on your own like that.

03:39The gangsters, they've escaped, vanished without a trace.

03:45Well, as a matter of fact, Mrs. Porty, I don't think there ever were any gangsters.

03:50No gangsters? No masked bandits?

03:53No.

03:53Oh. Oh. Oh, well, that's a relief. To be quite frank, I was the least bit frightened.

04:02I confess, I didn't really look forward to fighting bandits. Not at my age.

04:09Ivor's the only bandit here, and we don't have to fight him.

04:13Come on, Ivor. Time to go home.
