01:25How do you guys interpret it?
01:27It's like it's both.

01:29I mean like it's sometimes it's like really gross and disgusting and sometimes it's like

01:35How did the concept for gnarly kind of come out?
01:38I feel like the concept of gnarly kind of came out because it was us embracing that duality
01:45of not to quote our album but like the beautiful and that chaos and kind of like what Laura said
01:50embracing the sides that are like kind of like ugh but also the good sides and kind
01:55of putting that all together and gnarly was just a perfect way to describe it.
01:58I feel like you guys have gone through so many different versions.
02:01Like I remember when I first watched Dream Academy.
02:03By the way, you guys have all grown so much and like I like you guys so much.
02:07You're the reason that I have straight eyebrows now.

02:13What is something that really surprised you from joining Cat's Eye that you didn't expect
02:18to happen?
02:19I feel like I never knew I was going to make five long life besties.
02:26Like I genuinely didn't know I was going to get so so close to them.
02:29So that is something that I love and appreciate about them so much.
02:35Yeah.
02:35For sure.
02:35And I think for me, I didn't expect all the things that we've experienced so far to come
02:41so soon and just so big.
02:43Like all the love on us and our sisterhood and our music and performances.
02:47It's just, we never expected it.
02:50How do you think that your music has evolved from when you first started to now?
02:54I feel like our music now is like, it's a little bolder because I think that through the year,
03:02especially like the first year during the cis era, we were finding our identity as a group
03:07and like learning who we are as a collective and as one.
03:11And I think for Beautiful Chaos, we kind of have a better understanding of that and like the unity we have together.
03:17So I feel like the new music is very representative of that and like the relationship we have with each other currently
03:25and just like how tight and close and like chaotic our friendship is with each other.
03:30And especially because you are all so different.
03:33And I feel like especially being a group that started off and still is representing so many different cultures,
03:38that's important.
03:39Because when I look at a group that I love, I want to see myself.
03:42I want to see my straight eyebrows.
03:43I want to see my Latina, my Latina sisters.
03:45So I absolutely love that.
03:48I know recently you were transformed into Monster High dolls.
03:51Did you get to choose what you were going to turn into?
03:54Yes.
03:55Okay, why did you choose your dolls?
03:57I can start.
03:58So mine is a Madanangala vampire and it's this mythological creature from the Philippines
04:03that I grew up like being told stories of and she kind of like, her body kind of separates at night
04:08and she like feeds on the babies of pregnant women and all that.
04:11She's like flies, she has these wings.
04:13It's like kind of like fangs, like vampires.
04:15So I wanted to really like bring out that story of my childhood and my culture.
04:19That's really cool.
04:20She had no idea.
04:21I thought I was just a vampire learning something new.
04:23Mano?
04:25My creature is a sea creature.
04:27And actually the really fun part about this collaboration was like getting,
04:32like telling them all of the details that we wanted on the dolls, like all of our moles.
04:37We have our little charms like on the dolls, the way their hair looks.
04:41Like it was truly such a cool process.
04:44And it kind of like was so cool to do that for my like younger self.
04:49Because I love to like play.
04:50You're healing your inner child.
04:51Yeah, literally, literally.
04:52So yeah, that was a very fun collab.
04:55My creature was a Hu Ling Jing.
04:57It's like a mythical Chinese like box spirit.
05:01I feel like it's kind of plays into my duality where it's very mysterious,
05:05but at the same time has a very playful side to it, which is so me.
05:09And kind of similar to Mano, I think the most fun part was kind of like choosing the little details,
05:14like my jade bracelets in there and like my hair is in there.
05:17So yeah, I think it was a really, really fun process and it was so cute.
05:22Mine is a Rakshasa, which is basically like the devil or like just a very bad monster.
05:31Okay, Naughty side.
05:31Yeah, Naughty, like in Hindu mythology.
05:34So I think like growing up, I was the biggest Monster High fan.
05:39And like I watched the show, I dressed up as them, I had the dolls.
05:43And like seeing a doll that like had a bindi on, like traditional Indian clothing and things of that,
05:51but in such a cool, like fresh and fun way was so exciting for me.
05:56And like definitely very healing.
05:58I think like growing up, I always wanted to have something like that.
06:02So yeah.
06:04Mine is Jang San Bum and it's like Korean monster.
06:10They have the story.
06:11And I try to like find, not like a, like, like Korean monster.
06:25Yeah.
06:26Yeah.
06:26And I found out Jang San Bum and I saw like a lot of Korean fans were loving it.
06:33And I, where do you keep your dolls specifically?
06:35Like in your room or?
06:38Oh, where do I put?
06:39Yeah.
06:39Oh, it's, it's in my room.
06:42I love that.

06:45Mine is literally just a werewolf.
06:48I wanted to find a Cuban mythical creature, but the only thing I could really think of was like a Chupacabra.

06:57I was like, wait, I don't know.
06:58They're like, I don't want that.
06:59I was like, they're kind of like not cute.
07:01So I was like, okay, I'm just going to keep it as a werewolf.
07:03And I feel like for me, I love to embrace my curly natural hair.
07:08And also I feel like I'm just a very fierce fireball.
07:12And I felt like a werewolf was like a great representation.
