04:08And he was talking about the odds of this thing being in the trajectory that it is entering into our solar system in a direct path with earth

04:16The odds are extremely low and at the place where it's doing it

04:20It's when the earth is the opposite side of the sun

04:23So it's coming from behind the sun

04:25And it's so it makes it difficult to detect

04:29Hmm, and that this object is in a direct line to come to earth in 2027

04:35Do they have a trajectory of where it's gonna land?

04:37I don't think they totally know that yet

04:40I think they're trying to calculate whether or not it's actually gonna hit earth or come near earth or pass by earth or what it

06:46The images of the comet were actually snapped by the Vera C Rubin before it was officially discovered

06:51However, since it was identified on July 1st scientists just July 1st just a little bit ago

06:56Scientists have scoured back through data to find out more about the mysterious object new study published on

07:02Rxiv

07:05Whatever that is more than 200 researchers have confirmed the likely size the comet's main body known as its nucleus

07:12Their analysis suggests the nucleus has a radius of around 3.5 miles that translates to a diameter or width of about 7 miles

07:20To put that in perspective bigger than Mount Everest twice the size of Mount Kilimanjaro

07:59Yeah, so previously speaking to Mail Online, Professor Loeb pointed out that its impressive speed of 130,000 miles per hour as an indication that it might be controlled by aliens.

08:12He said it's difficult to imagine a natural process that would favor a plunge towards the inner solar system at 60 kilometers per second, he said.

08:22An alternative is that the object targets the inner solar system by some technological design.

08:29Well, hopefully they come in peace.

08:37Maybe that's like they realize that that's when AI starts to take over and they think it's chaos.

08:58We brought up earlier in the video here that Avi Loeb thinks that it could be technology coming.

09:10Well, as big as Mount Everest, I don't know that that's a global catastrophe.

09:16If it hits us, if it just even comes close to us, it's really interesting.

09:22I wonder if that has any other effect gravitationally with things around us.

09:28I'm not an astronomer enough to know that.

09:31Mount Everest sounds huge.

09:32I was thinking the same thing.

09:33But maybe that's tiny compared to other things that have a gravitational pull.

09:37What's interesting is that it's coming into our orbit from behind the sun.

09:46So essentially, if it was some kind of probe or some kind of technology, that would be the best place to hide.

09:57And it seems like we're always talking about the best place to hide, whether it's UAPs in the water or on the dark side of the moon.

10:04We're always talking about the best place to hide.

10:06So this has properties of being the best place to hide on its way into how we could view it.

10:14Well, but it's behind, you know, let's say this is the sun, right?

10:20And I'm Earth and the object is behind.

10:23So it's behind our eye line.

10:24But Earth starts to move, right?

10:26So unless this thing moves with it, we should be able to see it.

10:30And that's why Avi Love said in a month or two, we'll have more information.

10:33I think the key is to definitely keep an eye on this.

10:36But of course, people are just going to, you know, dismiss it immediately.

10:41But, you know, but at the same time, I don't think there's enough information to be like, yeah, this is an alien spaceship headed towards Earth.

10:50Well, here's the thing here.

10:52Like, I know it's a UFO show, but I'm just saying.

10:55Avi Love mentioned the dark forest theory.

10:58However, he didn't really explain it, which is.

11:01Well, we haven't gotten to that clip yet.

11:07I was a co-author on a paper with Adam Hibbert and Adam Crowell, where we said the orbit, the trajectory of this object appears to be quite remarkable.

11:21It arrives within five degrees of the orbital plane of the Earth around the sun.

11:26And the chance of that happening randomly is 0.2%.

11:31And moreover, it will arrive closest to the sun when the Earth is on the opposite side of the sun.

11:37And moreover, if you just play with the arrival time randomly, you would notice that only one out of 20,000 arrival times would come as close to the inner planets, like Jupiter, Mars, or Venus.

11:56So that is an unusual coincidence.

12:00And why would such a trajectory be so unusual?

12:04Well, one possibility is if it was designed by some intelligent civilization.

12:10It also comes towards us from the direction of the galactic center, from the Milky Way center, where there are lots of stars, and it's very difficult to notice it.

12:21That's why we discovered it so late.

12:23By now, it's impossible for us to launch a rocket that will intercept with it, because it would move relative to Earth.

12:31It comes in the opposite direction of the motion of Earth around the sun, and the relative velocity would be 98 kilometers per second when it comes closest to the sun.

12:42And that is three times the maximum speed that we can accomplish with chemical rockets.

12:48And so there is no way for us to reach it, to intercept with it, and perhaps it wants to break.

12:56You know, like when we launch rockets and we want to accomplish a very high speed, we usually introduce a thrust near the sun.

13:09And that buys you the highest kick velocity, taking advantage of the gravitational assist by the sun.

13:18And so if this object wants to do a reverse maneuver, meaning to slow down and get bound to the sun so that it, if it's a spacecraft, so that they can visit us,

13:29that would be the point where we can't see it, because it's hiding behind the sun.

13:35And, you know, it raises the interesting possibility that it might be technological in origin.

13:41Of course, we will know much more in the coming month or two, and it may not be technology, it may be just a comet.

13:48But I think it's important to consider the possibility that any interstellar object coming in to the solar system might be technological,

13:57because if you just consider the last century, you know, we started transmitting radio signals,

14:04basically flagging that we exist as a technological civilization.

14:08And there is this dark forest hypothesis that is the answer to Fermi's paradox, where is everybody?

14:17Well, they might be silent, waiting to notice things that might be a threat to them,

14:25because they were bruised in interactions.

14:26So there might be a lot of aliens around.

14:30And if someone was listening to our technological signals, you know,

14:34they might have realized that here there is a young technological civilization,

14:40and we don't want to have that threat.

14:42So they would send a hostile mission towards Earth.

14:48Of course, that may not be the case.

14:50We don't know.

14:51But it's the kind of threat that is not often entertained.

14:55Okay, now we've played the clip.

14:59Well, like I said, he mentioned dark forest, but he doesn't really explain it in that.

15:03The dark forest theory is if you're in a forest, a dark forest,

15:09and you're unsure of the predators around you, you don't start putting up a fire.

15:14You don't start putting up a noise.

15:18You want to stay hidden because you don't know if those predators are coming after you.

15:22You don't know if they're friendly or not.

15:24So we may have already passed that situation, which Avi Loeb mentioned,

15:29because for years we've been putting things out there saying, hey, here we are.

15:34Here we are.

15:35So this could be something coming back.

15:38It's interesting that he mentioned Amumuamua, which from 2017,

15:43which, again, came from behind the sun, so we didn't know it was coming to us,

15:49and we had to observe it after it passed us, and it was already going so fast that we couldn't catch up to it.

15:56So that's an interesting piece of it.

16:00If they are connected, well, that would be, you know, the most amazing connection in UFO, UAP history,

16:11that a probe was sent here, and now a giant mothership or a giant probe is coming.

16:17Now, if it's just technology coming, that's interesting in itself.

16:23But if not something the size of Mount Everest, how many people, how many beings could that hold?

16:32I mean, that's interesting that you think Amumuamua could have been like a probe.

16:36This is the mothership coming back.

16:38You know, when I interviewed Avi Loeb the first time, 2023, spring,

16:45and, of course, the Amumuamua story, he was famous for it, right, at that point.

16:49And I asked him, do you think that object, or what would you do if that object came back?

16:57You know, and he hadn't really thought about that question, you know,

16:59so he kind of didn't really have an answer for me.

17:01But I'm curious if he wonders if this could be Amumuamua or it's returned and or it's connected,

17:10like you're saying, to Amumuamua, this object.

17:12That's interesting.

17:13Now, this is the third or the fourth object ever that was intergalactic.

17:18I heard both.

17:19Interstellar.

17:19I think Amumuamua might have been the first.

17:23I could be wrong about that.

17:25There's been very few.

17:27So I'm wondering, which I don't know the answer is,

17:30when did our technology develop enough for us to detect that?

18:01And even maybe flying around and we didn't at the outer edges or whatever, right?

18:07In our own solar system.

18:09I mean, they're finding things behind at the outer edge of our solar system just recently.

18:15They're finding like another sort of planet or something back there.

18:18Some weird planet, you know.

18:20It's like we don't even know.

18:22We don't even know our own oceans.

18:25It's like, so, but this object coming, what I'm, because there's, this is what Mick West

18:32would call low information zone, okay?

18:34And I agree with this.

18:37What I'm most curious about is how the UFO community is going to use this story, right?

18:42How are people in the UFO community going to use this story?

18:45Or is this the story that Jeremy Corbell is talking about, right?

18:50Well, two things I want to say about that.

18:54One is Avi Loeb is a serious scientist.

18:58We're talking about Harvard and...

19:01Definitely.

19:02And I like Avi Loeb.

19:03So he's reading data.

19:05Is that data, would it have to be faked by the CIA?

19:10That gets to the really big conspiracy.

19:13How that would be the, the scientists are sort of in the CIA.

19:15I'm not saying they're faking the data.

19:17I'm just saying, and Avi Loeb is admitting it.

19:20He's using probability.

19:22There's no definitive evidence.

19:23He's just saying the probability of this and that makes it more than random and that.

19:28But there's no, nothing saying this is an alien space, you know.

19:31He's just kind of saying it's one of these possibilities.

19:34But I'm wondering if people will start to be like, no, it is confirmed to be this.

19:39I think it's a large jump to make this what Jeremy was talking about.

19:48Just because the data is coming through scientists and it is such new data.

19:52Now, that said, I do think it could be taken advantage of.

19:58Is Jeremy's story them taking advantage of another story, you know, and that's their story?

20:05This is the thing they'll use to say there's an alien invasion in 2027.

20:09The problem is, Jeremy has been talking about this way before the scientists knew that this was coming.

20:22So they just discovered this at the beginning of July then?

20:34You know, so one other thing is that the trajectory that it looks like, it seems like it is also going to take a close trajectory to other planets, to Venus and Jupiter, I think they say.

20:54Well, not only that, but it seems like they could get a better look if it is technology.

20:58So the way it's coming into our solar system, it's not just going to come by Earth.

21:03It's also going to pass by other planets in our solar system.

21:07So if you were doing some type of probe, if you were looking to gather data, that obviously would be what you want.

21:16Get as close to these planets as possible so that you can get whatever data, you know, advanced, you know, mechanisms they have to gather data to really capture that.

21:27Yeah, no, that's a good point.

21:29Yeah, I mean, at this point, you know, realistically, all you can do is wait for more information on this.

21:36Is it something that, you know, could pique your interest?

21:39Like, it's piqued my interest.

21:41So, right.

21:42Like, it just it's on the back burner.

21:44It's got my interest, but I am leaning towards natural phenomena.

21:49But also, this is how, you know, an alien sci-fi movie starts.

21:58Like this object, it's bad, you know, probabilities, and then it starts to raise and get high.

22:04One thing I didn't understand in the science of it is they were saying that it's going three times faster than we can with rockets.

22:12But it is coming towards us, and they said because of that, we can't even get to it to study it.

22:19But once it comes past the sun, if it's coming towards us, how come we can't sense probes up there?

22:25Maybe they mean right now, but you're right.

22:27Maybe later, as it gets closer, we would be able to.

22:30Or if that's the case, pop it out right now and get it going, you know, get it, you know, halfway.

22:37Or at least something closer to study it, right?

22:41Like, even if we can't get to it, you know, instruments, why can't they put the James Webb on it?

22:48I guess it's behind the sun.

22:49We can't see it, right, visually.

22:51That's the thing right now.

22:53Right, and so I'm assuming that if we have the sun in the middle of our solar system and we're rotating around,

23:02so if we're saying it's coming from behind the sun, is it on the same plane as our rotation?

23:07Because it could be coming from really anywhere in space.

23:12So is it parallel to us?

23:15It would have to be if we can't see it.

23:17Right, so that's what I'm saying.

23:18You know what I mean?

23:19So it has to be on almost somewhat of a parallel.

23:23On the y-axis, it's on, if that is a y-axis, whichever, I guess it's.

23:41I'm just saying, if we're saying we can't see it because of the sun, then that, you know,

23:45it's got to be in eye line, eyesight, right, from every part of Earth that looks out towards the sun.

23:52Well, you also have to keep in mind how big the sun is.

23:56If I'm Earth, remember earlier I was saying, and if we were rotating around, we would eventually be able to see it.

24:02But if right now it's just this and we can't see it because the sun's in the way, then, you know,

24:09we don't know what we're talking about here.
