00:21
offering the chance to get behind the scenes,

Hello and welcome to ABC News Victoria.
00:31
And rub shoulders with Aunty's well-known faces.
00:35
It's just lovely, especially when you listen to radio at home,
00:39
to be able to see the actual people who deliver the programs.
00:44
This year the doors are open to roughly 200 buildings around the city,
00:49

01:10

01:13

01:25
where staff monitor the city's tunnels and freeways.
01:29
I've always been interested in our road network.
01:31
Ever even since I was a kid I've been fascinated by transport, whether it's roads, trains, trams.
01:35
The team monitor about 45 kilometres of road from the Monash Freeway to the Westgate Bridge.
01:42
They actually look at everything, looking after a stray cat on the road or even a dog walking through the tunnel.
01:48
A weekend of revelations and celebrations.
01:52
I've never been around to it.
01:53
So I'm going to be the first up to it.
01:54
