Some of Melbourne’s most sought-after suburbs could soon have apartment towers as tall as 16 storeys soaring above them as the premier's plan to build more homes gathers steam. The move to allow multi-storey blocks in Melbourne’s leafy east and bayside has infuriated the state opposition with the government picking areas with good train and tram connections for developments.
