00:16the vintage Icon V52 displays all of the classic versatility that we associate with this timeless
00:24design whether or not you play indie rock blues jazz whatever your favorite style of music country
00:31of course this is the guitar for you I'm going to walk you through the features and the sounds
00:36starting with the tuners these are Wilkinson tuners the nut is a graphite nut measures 43 millimeters
00:46in width the neck is made from hard rock maple and features a really comfortable vintage soft C
00:53profile compared to the style of neck that we would normally associate with this single cutaway
00:57design this is very slim very very comfortable indeed very versatile it feels it's got quite
01:03modern actually the back of the neck features a smooth satin finish so there's no sticky lacquer
01:10to impede one's progress on the fingerboard the maple fingerboard features 22 medium jumbo frets
01:18and this is a 10 inch radius fingerboard which offers a nice compromise between a soft curb which
01:24makes it really nice and easy for chords whilst also still being flat enough to provide a nice surface for
01:35big string bends the body is made from eastern poplar and provides all of the natural resonance and
01:51sustain that we'd associate with this style of guitar now the pickups are a pair of Wilkinson single coils the
01:59neck pickup is a WVTN single coil the bridge pickup is a WVOB single coil and these are controlled by a
02:09standard three-way pickup selector switch master volume control master tone control now let's have
02:16a little talk about the bridge the bridge is a Wilkinson WTB bridge now it's kind of a more modern and
02:23versatile take on the classic vintage style bridge in that it enables complete intonation of all six
02:31strings previously with this style of guitar intonation has always been a little bit of a
02:35compromise there's a few tips and tricks that players have evolved over the years to get around
02:40that but the Wilkinson bridge absolutely just guarantees you can nail your intonation on every
02:46single string it's a real boon believe me so let's have a play through some of the sounds
02:51we'll start with the neck pickup on a clean tone and then we'll work our way through with some over
02:58driven sounds as well
