00:00Hey man, my finger is totally shredded from playing slap stuff and popping off the strings,
00:06but you gotta keep doing that so you get a blister and then you don't feel it anymore.
00:10And I'm not a big slap popper person, I just know a couple lines and all you advanced players,
00:16this is for beginners, so you don't need to tell me how much I suck or that you hate me
00:21or any of that stuff. It's just no fun.
00:24Okay, so this is for beginners who just start playing bass and they want to play something cool
00:29that's a neat little ditty they can do if they practice.
00:33Get your metronome out, get it clicking, start off slow, keep repeating the sections until you get them down
00:38and then move to the next section.
00:40A lot of people ask me about the tab on this and I'm going to try to explain it by just telling you
00:46and showing you where it's at, so let's see how you do.
00:48This is bass off the E string, A string and a couple things off the top strings.
00:53There's four strings, yeah, that's good. It's always good to know how many strings you have.
00:57Do you have six strings? You're not a bass player, you're a freaking guitarist, okay?
01:00Alright, here we go.
01:06That's the beginning, that's about how fast it normally goes.
01:09It's just E to the A and the B on the E string and then it's D and E off the A string.
01:16And then you just throw up. In between, so it's...
01:35That was F sharp, G on the A string and E to F sharp.
01:41If you don't know those, you can just look at the dots on the frets and match up to where I'm at.
01:46Also, something that a lot of people don't realize, what's very important on the bass,
01:50is that you mute the other strings.
01:52Whenever you're hitting on these E strings and stuff, use your pinky.
01:55I have my pinky down, holding just ever so lightly on these bottom strings so they don't ring out while I'm trying to play that.
02:01Because if I didn't mute, it would be...
02:04I don't know, it just wouldn't be right.
02:06Well, anyway, that comes with time, so...
02:25Alright, so that's the beginning part.
02:31Just practice that over and over again.
02:32Once you get that part down...
02:36Don't forget that part.
02:37That's on the fourth time.
02:38Alright, and then the next part is the E string.
02:41Then up to the top G string.
02:43And you're popping.
02:45You're flipping up your finger on the D and the E.
02:51And then down to the D string.
02:54And you go from A down to G.
02:58So I'm going...
02:59And then F sharp, G, D.
03:08So it goes down to the next string below it.
03:14Sometimes it's hard to tell on the camera.
03:16And then the same thing, but up here on the top on the G string.
03:20So it's pretty easy.
03:21But you just have to get it in the time.
03:22The timing is still hard for me, so...
03:23Just because I want to play it fast.
03:25Just because I want to play it fast.
03:32Just because I want to play it fast.
03:37Just because I want to play it fast.
03:39Just because I don't suck if I want to play it fast.
03:43It's pretty easy.
03:44And what is actually like how different Nashville can play a TV screen?
03:46I wonder if there are any more players and people in pure陥.
03:48No more organisers at home.
03:49I predict vocês diem.
03:50You have to add new NFL to 17.
03:51All right.
03:52And now we're going to have to play it fast.
04:04And then it's do a basketball game.
04:06So I want to play it fast.
04:07Sounds really cool with a drummer.
04:16Practice!
