Two meteor showers to peak on the night of July 29-30

The summer night sky will be adorned with shooting stars during the combined peak of the Delta Aquarid and Alpha Capricornid meteor showers on July 29-30. Anna Azallion shares how to see the event.

00:00Two meteor showers are peaking at the same time and could lunate the sky with up to 30

00:06On the night of July 29th into the early morning of July 30th, the Southern Delta Aquarids

00:11and Alpha Capricornids will combine for a pretty spectacular display.

00:15Look out for incredibly bright meteors known as fireballs.

00:19And while July 29th to 30th is the peak, you can catch shooting stars any night during

00:23the end of July and start of August.

00:25For the best viewing experience, find a dark spot away from city lights and gaze up at

00:29the sky after midnight.
