00:00July 21st. The Precious Blood. Healing the Wounds of the Past.
00:06Each of us carries a story, written in joys and sorrows, light and shadow.
00:12Some chapters are marked with pain, wounds from sin, betrayal, loss, or abandonment.
00:19These wounds can be so deep that they shape how we see ourselves and how we relate to others.
00:25But the Precious Blood of Jesus was poured out not only for forgiveness, but for healing.
00:32It reaches the secret places of the soul, restoring what was shattered, and rewriting our story in love.
00:39The Blood of Christ flows beyond time. It flows backward to our first wounds and forward into every future sorrow.
00:47It cleanses not just the act of sin, but the effect of sin.
00:50His blood brings peace where chaos lived, hope where despair festered, and dignity where shame once ruled.
01:00To expose our pain to the Precious Blood is not weakness. It is surrender to divine compassion.
01:06When we place our past in the chalice of His mercy, we are no longer defined by what happened to us, but by what He did for us.
01:14Sometimes healing is slow. It comes not in flashes, but in the quiet transformation of a soul touched by love.
01:23Each time we approach the Eucharist, we are not just receiving a ritual.
01:29We are drinking from the very wellspring of divine healing.
01:33The same blood that flowed from the cross into the dust now flows into the hearts of the broken,
01:39if only they will open themselves to its cleansing.
01:44St. Josephine Bakhita, born in Sudan, endured unimaginable cruelty.
01:50She was kidnapped as a child and sold into slavery, beaten and scarred, body and soul.
01:56But when she encountered Christ later in life, she said something astonishing.
02:00If I were to meet the slave traders who kidnapped me, I would kneel and kiss their hands.
02:07For if it had not been for them, I would not have become a Christian.
02:11The Precious Blood washed her past clean.
02:15She forgave.
02:16She healed.
02:18And she became a radiant witness to the power of divine mercy.
02:22Like St. Josephine, we are not prisoners of our past.
02:27We are children of the cross.
02:29And his blood speaks not of what we've endured, but of what we are becoming.
02:35Whole.
02:36New.
02:37Beloved.
02:38Let us pray.
02:40Jesus, healer of hearts, I offer you the wounds I still carry.
02:46I surrender the pain I understand and the hurt I do not.
02:51Let your precious blood flow into every corner of my soul.
02:56Bring peace to the memories that haunt me.
02:59Through the intercession of St. Josephine Bakita, who knew the power of healing in your love,
03:06make me whole again.
03:08Amen.
