00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Fusenbet and today I'm going out into
00:05Manchester to do a bit more exploring related to MCR Live 25. Now, what you can see behind me is
00:11the MCR Live Hub. It's open here until the end of September so you really have a great opportunity
00:17to come along and give it a try. We're going to have a look, I'll tell you about it and then we're
00:21going to head down to St Peter's Square and have a look at the markets that are going on there.
00:24So, starting here at MCR Live Hub, you've got a brilliant opportunity to relax in the sun,
00:30although admittedly the weather isn't the best today, and take in some brilliant live music.
00:36The whole theme of this place really is music. You have brilliant posters from bands like Oasis
00:42and the Happy Mondays on the walls inside. You've got brilliant drinks offerings and prices that
00:46honestly aren't too bad either for the centre of Manchester and a great place to relax. You've
00:51also got some brilliant food offerings too, with the likes of Frite, Zouk and the Bearded Feeder,
01:00all offering a pretty diverse range of things, from things like chips to chicken tikka wraps,
01:04lankabab wraps, hot dogs and more.
01:13And even today, in the middle of the day, when the clouds are out rather than the sun,
01:18you've got a pretty good atmosphere going on here. Now, as I say, the MCR Live Hub is open until the
01:22end of September, and it really is the perfect place to go for a quick after-work pint if the
01:27likes of Stephenson Square are a bit too intimidating and busy for you. This is a brilliant opportunity to
01:31come down and listen to some great music, but for now, let's go have a look at St Peter's Square.
01:36So, just like that, we have made it to the market here in St Peter's Square, and you have a brilliant range
01:41of great options of things to get. From shops like the Manchester shop, I've set up a little stall here,
01:47my personal favourite food place in Manchester, Rita's Reign, have a food truck here too, and you've
01:53got an awesome range of music-related stalls too, and that's not even including a massive teepee-seeming
02:00thing that has been made entirely out of guitars. You've got convenient places to grab a drink, convenient
02:05places to sit down and grab some food as well, and an awesome atmosphere. So, let's show you some of the
02:10stalls, and then I'll let you get back to your everyday lives. As I say, there's a great range
02:14of stalls there, and they are open until Sunday, so you still have a decent opportunity to try and
02:19get down before the weather turns too nasty. You've got stalls selling some brilliant rings,
02:24you've got the Manchester shop selling some great bucket hats and merch relating to the city of
02:28Manchester. Food-wise, you've got hot donuts, you've got coffee, you've got the opportunity for a
02:33little alcoholic beverage too. Rita's Reign, as I say, genuinely one of my favourite places in
02:39Manchester, and a whole bunch of other stores besides. Both of those places are absolutely
02:45worth visiting. You're up against it if you want to make it down to the market. As I say,
02:47it closes on Sunday. It's definitely worth a visit, but the MCR Live Hub will be here a
02:51little bit longer. So, get down, give them a try, and follow Manchester World for more.
