Adidas executives were thrilled when Liverpool sealed the signing of Florian Wirtz last month.
The Premier League champions struck a record-breaking deal for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder, reportedly worth up to £116 million with add-ons, to bring him in from Bayer Leverkusen.
Liverpool saw off strong competition from both Bayern Munich and Manchester City, and Wirtz himself admitted he hadn’t seriously considered a move to Anfield until speaking with Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes.

00:06The Premier League champions struck a record-breaking deal for the 22-year-old attacking midfielder,
00:12reportedly worth up to £116m with add-ons to bring him in from Bayer Leverkusen.
00:19Liverpool saw off strong competition from both Bayern Munich and Manchester City,
00:24and Wurz himself admitted he hasn't seriously considered a move to Anfield until speaking with Arnie Schlott,
00:29and Sporting Director Richard Hughes.
00:32So it's about where he'll fit in, but the fact that Florian Wurz chose Liverpool because Arnie Schlott had a clear plan for him,
00:40then it's not going to be on the hop, it's not going to be, right, where can we...
00:43A bit like Liverpool signed for Roberto for me, you know, a few years ago he was brought in by Michael Edwards
00:49and Brendan Rodgers didn't really know where to play him, but Liverpool have quite clearly got a plan for Florian Wurz
00:56and I think it will be prominent to see where he's going to play after the first few games in pre-season.
01:04Already part of Adidas' global athlete portfolio, Wurz will now wear their gear at the club level too.
01:10Back in March, Liverpool confirmed a new multi-year kit deal with Adidas,
01:14estimated to be worth up to £60m per season,
01:17and marking a return to the brand for the first time since 2012.
01:21The club's commercial team has carefully coordinated announcements and media appearances
01:27to maintain consistency and maximise anticipation ahead of the switch.
01:33The club plans to unveil official numbers and kit details as part of the Adidas launch in early August.
01:38The new Adidas kits are expected to feature retro-inspired designs,
01:42including the brand's trademark three stripes and white trim sleeves.
01:47Despite Adidas missing out on Wurz's unveiling visuals,
01:51they're still expected to capitalise fully when the new strips debut on the 4th of August
01:56in a pre-season friendly against athletic Bilbao.
01:59It's a carefully managed transition aiming at building anticipation ahead of the high-profile relaunch.
02:05With Wurz their record signing and new poster boy,
02:07Liverpool and Adidas are preparing to make a big statement both commercially and on the pitch.
