With this Wednesday being international Drag Day, we thought it was an appropriate opportunity to have a look at the very best of Manchester Pride and see what drag shows are set to be on over the Pride weekend.

00:05But today is a particularly special day for the city because as you well know, this is a city that's beyond proud of its queer community
00:12and today is International Drag Day.
00:14The people behind Manchester Pride have used this exciting day as an opportunity to announce a slew of brilliant drag acts
00:19who are set to take the stage over Pride weekend, which of course takes place over the 22nd to the 25th of August.
00:25So let's have a look at some of the awesome acts that we show in the city, some of the best that the drag world has to offer.
00:30Now, fairly new to Pride is the stage at Frey Island over at Depot Mayfield, which will be home to some of the most exciting and entertaining shows over the long weekend.
00:37It's advertised as the place where camp meets charisma with the promise of incredible vocals and much more.
00:42Firstly, there's set to be a top performance from Danny Beard, who will be presenting the aptly named Danny Beard Show.
00:47The bearded drag queen is fresh from a deep run on Celebrity Big Brother and will absolutely be one of the highlights of the whole weekend.
00:53It's fair from the only event, worth noting though, the hit tour Queen's Drag Me to the Disco will bring an enticing spectacle made up of top tier singing,
01:00some awesome disco vibes and unforgettable performers.
01:03There's also a one hour comedy showcase which will be led by some brilliant members of the queer community and some drag legends.
01:08Banksy, a fan favourite from the UK edition of RuPaul's Drag Race, is hosting a fashion rave at the Mardi Gras stage at 7pm on the Saturday,
01:15which will be a great opportunity to get some partying done in high fashion.
01:18And finally, you can expect some top drag performers at the House of MCR Pride Edition,
01:22which will be a ballroom inspired show with dances, lip syncs and more.
01:25With the Culture Cabaret, offering an opportunity for people from South Asian and Middle Eastern backgrounds
01:29to combine tradition with their proud queer expression.
01:33Now, there's some great shows lined up there.
01:35It's definitely worth getting your tickets to Pride Weekend, sorted out ASAP.
